Well?

.
.
I think I found the overheating problem, at the least a solution.  Tea and water, about a gallon.  I wasn't cooling, even as the temperature dropped to 68°.  I started drinking, then started cooling.  I have been drinking less in the last few days.  It caught up with me.  I would guess an half gallon a day for the last five to ten days.  Eating less as well.  I just can't eat or drink.

Crazy, but I lose no weight, nor gain as I increase consumption.  Anyway...

I ended up being so cold I zoned.  Finally remembered to go on to bed around three.  It was about 62° outside, 68° indoors, except upstairs where it was 66°.  When I went down, I turned off the better ac.  It was 70° this morning up there... the top range, but within, for a perfect sleep.  As long as my internal thermostat doesn't set to fry.

Downstairs was 68°/64° main/front, 68° outdoors, at a bit after ten.  I just shut the front door, it is 71° but still chill in the main, 68° up front.  I have learned to rig the cave for cool, if it has also been a cool summer.  We have been verging on fall weather.  Apparently Iowa is similar, while Texas is roasting to the point electricity is becoming exorbitant.  Still, keeping it at 73° on a 90° plus day takes... some knowledge and effort. If drinking enough fluid has to be remembered.  Dry and hot.

I am hoping to shower, shave, mow, shower again, then set up dishes and laundry.  No dishes, other than a soak, today.  Maybe laundry.  I will go through shirts.  I ordered, a few months ago, enough shirts to replace the old and worn, plus have replacements in stock.  I don't mind old t-shirts, but other old shirts I don't want around.  Some make great rags, some just are good for nothing.  The final group finally arrived.  Odd.

Well, that is the hope.  Today is the fourth day back on pill medicine.  Slight headaches in the days before and after restarting are diminishing.  Usually gone by now, as I wake, if milder today.  Aspirin, I do believe.  I weary of pain, an occasional break is good if possible.  Still, life might be heading back to a better trim.  Have a great morning, day.

Oh, right.  Can't do this currently, it is on my mind.  I have a spare drop in freezer that would work.  The thermostatic controllers are only about ~$35.  It's the meats and processing area cleanliness which would be a trick.  And, with the cheese, it is a lot of work and exactitude.  I'm not sure how forgiving it is.  Still...

A nap.

.
.
Crashed at about 18:30.  No real choice.  Had hoped to sleep until morning.  Nothing was on, it was 73°... too warm... so one ac and the fan were turned on.  Sometimes 73° is fine, not today.  I woke right at 21:30.  Hot!  The temperature read 72°, which is often fine.  Not tonight.  I turned on the other ac, it just wasn't cutting it.

Up.  Out.  Simply could not handle the heat.  It was too early, when I  went to bed, to open the downstairs up.  It was 73° in the main, 77° in the front room, but with fans going, it was less... stifling.  Well, and I wasn't laying down.  Why did 72° feel so warm?  Blood sugar!?!  Nope, 106 fasting since 13:00.  Starting the other meds?

Whatever the case may be, I will chill a bit, then try to get more sleep, and soon.  I'd like to keep days, that has been slipping.  I saw the opportunity to sleep early and grabbed it.  I have some hope to chill everywhere enough to get back to bed at a reasonable time.  But I am absolutely burning up!  We'll see.  Later.

Clarifications.

.
.
Such bitter hits.  Oh, I know shes can and will leave... a bad taste... from time to time.  But this was different.  And... it wasn't coming from my target.  At least one who was a muse, though likely two, who believed they are still on my list.  They simply don't understand, when I cut you loose, that is that.  No interest?  Kewl.

She listens...

.
.
Does she hear?  As well as she can, will, dares.  Probably.

Do you remember?

.
.
It was written, when foxes visit...  It is time.  The temple is to be rebuilt.

J'accuse!

.
.
Someone.  I suspect whom.

Rather shot.

.
.
It was 68° outside, 68° and 65° main and front, 66° upstairs, when I woke.  Only had one ac running, the good one.  It must have really cooled through the night, in the early morning, because it was only down to 68°last I checked within an half hour either side of ten.  All good.  But the cool keeps surprising me.

Even with the cool, it is still high summer.  Too much sun.  I could only imagine equatorial living.  That and polar living provide the bookends of extremes.  I vastly prefer the middle.  At least spring and fall offer some time to function.  For me, the other seasons are merely survival.  Even as pleasant as it has been.  All that sun...

Hopefully being back on meds will help. One day, half the usual dose, no troubles yet.  I had thought to go up to five water pills, flurosimide at 40 mg per.  Decided to try just three, for a few days.  Surprised again.  It looks like three was quite enough.  I am already nearly back to trim, contemplating cutting back to two.  Can't seem to cut it altogether, or even to one.  So, I actually doubt the fraction ejection number.  My heart is still back dumping blood into my lungs.  I am down to a gallon a day, as diabetes is mostly controlled.

Blood sugar is 152 fasting.  I just can't seem to eat enough to dose enough to get lower fasting numbers.  And, from experience, that is what it takes.  As well, hitting the right amount of insulin.  Too much won't lower, might raise, the reading.  Too little won't change it enough.  I really need to eat and dose two to three times a day, within six to ten hours.  Intermittent helps sometimes, not others.  It does help to track eating, so grazing all day is less likely.  I just can't eat right in high summer.

Best let the ducks out.  No watering of anything for several days.  I can go look over the lawn, just to get bits of sun and check the grass out.  If I am going to bother growing it, I ought to go out and enjoy it.  Crazy, but it feels like fall is happening.  The leaves aren't changing, at least there is that.  Later.
-----------------

Looking over what shows as having been read, someone hit on a music video which fits the mood or sensation of what I described as surviving high summer.  Even pain is muted.  As mentioned, if you have seen the other side, even if you don't know fully, you do know.  Faith is for the blind, the hopefully, and too often for the damned.  Whoever does that, does it far too often to be coincidence, whether intended or not.  ...  I think they have the bug.

Almost certain.

.
.
Actually, watering took longer than anticipated.  It just did, for good and wrong reasons.  The ducks enjoyed the heck out of it.  Next month I am hoping to purchase more of the sprinkler that works so well.  One just as a backup, can only really use two on full blast.  Then again, often the areas being watered don't need, actually prohibit, full water pressure.  It would sure help get everything watered quickly, if I remember to set the timer.  Bleh.

One product obtained this month was a very good, keto friendly, sardine in marinara.  I don't, generally, prefer that.  If most is little more than overcooked fish mush in catchup.  I enjoyed this brand in evo oil, a great deal.  And variety helps me eat.  It is excellent.  Next month, or the month after, lemon.  Oh, and while Sam and Sassy refuse the regular sardines, Sam cleaned the container with the marinara absolutely spotless.  Very strange, but so be it.  I will be sure to leave her a bit.

Which reminds me...  A dream, the other day, of every time a woman kin, lover, or even friend as such a notion goes, wanted a bite of something I was eating.  Often I refused to the point of bitterness.  Something about girl cooties?  I shared with (some, certain) pals.  If that was clearly quid pro quo, unless they were running on empty.  And I trusted them to be clean, not queer, and stuff.

Every event?  A lot of them.  Oh, I know.  A woman begging food is, for them, a solid.  It means they think of you as I thought of my chums.  I... regret my reactions.  I would share, if on a quid pro quo basis as well.  Only I would choose when to beg.  Chocolate!  I don't know why I dreamed that, I just know I want that to be different now.

Oh, and old music surfaced.  I am almost certain why.  As with the want to share where I didn't before, I will share these.

Deep fried eggs?

.
.
Yes indeed.  It will take a bit of practice.  As is the yolks were more done than I prefer, but not truly overdone.  One of the eggs was a darker brown, the rest were lighter, all were still tasty.  I prefer the lighter colored ones.  Practice is needed.  Learning the right oil temp, knowing how many eggs to fix at a time... two in my skillet, at first, perhaps another after those are going and cleanly separated, learning how best to flip, it the nest egg dipper seems to have been a great initial choice, then learning when to flip... based on coloration.

It really was very good.  I didn't add salsa.  I will leave the lard in, just reuse until it smells funny.  My cleaning and seasoning of the cast worked very well, by the way.  It has sat, neglected and alone, since, but was happy to be put back on the line.  And will enjoy the tallow soak.  I may keep working with this and the frittatas until a mortal form of perfection is achieved.  Then, perhaps, back to souffles and maybe deviled eggs, plus the various pickling recipes.

If God sees one to abundance, it is wise to use that bounty.  God covers this so well and often, from the gift of talents... adding to those who produce while stripping the little given to the one who hid what had been offered, to one of the first commands of going forth, multiplying, and prospering, to... everywhere you read, God tells us to make hay while the making is good...  or even bad.  So, I'm making with what I have, as able.

It is up to 86° outside, 73° in the main and front rooms... with a fan in the back and front rooms going, and 70° upstairs... with nothing going.  Humidity is 34% upstairs, 43% downstairs.  The side yard is being lightly watered.  After this last strip, a small patch using a circular setting will be done.  I'm working on it, getting there too.

Later.

Pushing it lately.

.
.
Sure, I ended, technically, with nine hours of sleep.  But it was still a bit warm when I went in, at least my body fussed.  And there were the speedbumps from the alarm cock and snoozes.  I had some hope to wake to them.  That parachute was full of holes.  The heat through the day, while not severe, was enough to take me down a few notches.  And several days recently sleep was restricted.  It all just became bundled and attacked.  With meds being restarted today, there is more fear of even worse.

It was down to 66° upstairs, and in my main and front room.  Outside, as I let the ducks out, it read 62° outside.  All those at about 8:30.  I turned one ac off.  I think, for now, I'll keep one ac running up there, so as to nap around noon.  One will keep it at 66° to 69°, the other will, at best, keep it 70°.  I will never buy a "smart" device again.  Idiot engineering doesn't help when it becomes a manacle.

There is some hope for work and grooming today.  Same plans as before.  I will boil and peel a gob of eggs, pickling a dozen.  Those won't be ready for a couple of weeks.  I don't have enough apple cider vinegar for a batch, though perhaps half that, half white?  It may be too potent on it's own anyway.  I will eventually try various recipes using everything from all of each to a quarter of each vinegar.  It won't be science but, the subjective, mutable, can't be science (another wall against science uber alles), and tastes don't need science.  I may end up, having various tastes for various particular hungers, through the trials.  Strange how tastes change with time.

At 162 blood sugar is up.  I haven't figured how to beat it.  Regularity of consumption and dosing is best.  But I have almost zero capacity for that.  It isn't just eating regularly, but sleeping regularly.  I get a regular schedule a few weeks, maybe months, at a time.  Then it all begins to tumble.  It's even more difficult to try to eat regularly.  Sometimes I have no hunger, sometimes no dishes pots or pans, sometimes my body won't digest the food.  Those on top of the rolling schedule make regulaity impossible.  I've been trying for the last year.

Oh well.  I am alive.  They say I am improving.  I think, finally, for my part, I know better.  The meds might be making it all look good, like enough grease in worn and broken cogs might allow the perception that it works and well.  Truth is, there is almost no there, there.  I'll keep at it anyway.

I looked around the lawn today.  It is looking quite good.  Grass is really shaping up, spreading out, filling in.  This is definitely the best year for the lawn.  More seeding this fall, in the sparser areas.  A lawn becomes an addiction.  Especially if getting out into the out of doors isn't happening as wished.  It's my own little patch of green.  Free of orcs and other dangers, just requiring a bit of care.  Later.

Definitely closing in on bedtime.

.
.
Watering started at 19:30, or so.  I could have started earlier, I just wouldn't have thought so.  The front lawn is getting another drink, after the cut it looked to be in need... even on the highest setting.  Part of the strip out back is getting it too.  Another hour and I will go on to bed.  Tomorrow I might hit the area that is being shortshifted tonight, and the dry side area again.  Then two or three days off.

I did try the frittata.  Having baked bacon I used the fat from that, some of it.  As well, I cut several pieces of bacon into strips across the width and tossed that in.  I whipped a lot of air in, so it was much thicker and fluffier.  With salsa and milk, it was quite good.  Boiled eggs tomorrow, a dozen to be pickled.

Meds were set up, finally.  My doc sent the wrong scripts, but I can make do.  I just need to call the V.A. tomorrow, first thing.  Well, and I will start on a lower dose.  Not a bad thing, my body has become cranky.  Flooding it with meds would hurt.  Too late to take meds, but I took a few furosimide, the water pill.  My feet are sore, swollen.

Blood sugars have improved, staying around 120 to 125 mostly.  A few dips up and down, either way, but averaging each other out and with no more than a fifteen point slide.  It isn't really treatable when it remains so low and stable.  If I could get fasting blood sugar to 100 I would feet a lot better.

It is 62° outside, was at 21:30.  Upstairs was 75° just now, forty five minutes later.  The main got to 74°, the front to 76°, but in that forty five minutes, after opening up, each has dropped a degree.  Oh, I turned on both ac's upstairs.  If it is less than 73° when I go up to bed, I will turn them both off as they were.  A very strange year, but a good one.

Oh, right.

.
.
Rich in eggs and dairy, poor in cash, only a few things to do.

Very little sleep.

.
.
It was about 4:00 when I had finished watering and could settle in for the night.  Perhaps as much as an half hour later?  Outside temperature had dropped to 47°  by then, almost... no, it was a... shock to my mind.  The previous and continuous 55° lows were already... surprising.  But this?

It just took longer than anticipated.  Some areas couldn't be watered without doing it in strips.  Everything planned was watered, but I found an area which will need two strips watered tonight, unless, maybe, a half circle or square will work.  Still, pleased with the work.  And got a shower in.

Today?  A shave would be good.  Perhaps work in the bathroom, cleaning, trash out, another shower and shave, meds set up, then dishes and laundry started?  We will see.  Blood sugar was weird.  Two hours after my last meal, it was 120.  Two to three later it was 89 then similar after that it was 102 both latter also fasting.  This morning it is 133 fasting.  I don't get it.  It is about as low as fasting blood sugar has gotten, so I will take it.

I woke because it started to seem hot.  I had neither ac on, just a fan, and the sun had been up two hours or more by a quarter to nine.  I grabbed a few things and headed down, but remembered to check the temperature if I had to backtrack a few paces.  Imagine my surprise to see it was still only 72° up there!  I buttoned up the cave, fearing I wouldn't be up in time to close things this morning.  It was 71° main, 68° front, even so.  Not bad.  At 9:30 it is 65° outside, but that sun feels warmer than it has.

Now to wake.  Have a bite.  Then see what can be done.  I am definitely going to start watering earlier tonight.  Ugh, I have hangover symptoms just from stretching waking time like that.  Good morning and day.

Late.

.
.
Watering the lawn.  Just a few patches, but to water well takes time.  After this spot, I can water the last two spots at once.  Another hour.  Started late.  Lost track.  Drifting in my mind.  I can't even enjoy shows (I like) or games when I am like this.  I just drift between... here and there.

It isn't the heat.  It only got to 73° in here, perhaps 84° to 86° Outside.  If anything I might have been too cold.  Crazy.  Blood sugar has been higher.  I am doing my best, it just isn't cooperating.  Not even in the 180's, but 130's to 150's persistently, consistently.  Correct eating, limited consumption, and reasonable dosing isn't changing the numbers.  Not horrible, it just should be lower.

Other than the ducks and girls, and watering, nothing else.  Frustrating.  I remember dying.  In ways it was like that.  Instead of life slipping my powerful but become impotent grasp, will, it is time.  Oh, make that two more areas to finish watering, an area was overlooked.  All good, it needed it, and it is only every few days.

Perhaps that shower, and setting up medicine?  Ugh.  Focus.  Lacking.  Best turn on ac. I hope it isn't too hot up there.  -  Wow.  It is only 73° up there.  I decided not to turn either ac on.  I may open a few windows, and keep the fan going.  It really is cooling here.  Oh, it is already down to 55° outside.  Then, it is nearly midnight.

Later, or more probably good night.

For your viewing pleasure.  If... I told you so.

So much for mowing.

.
.
Not a complaint.  The neighbor's son took care of it.  I tried to talk him out of it.  Failing that, I ensured the deck was up.  And, looking over the seeded areas, honestly they didn't need avoided.  Fantastic.  I am hoping to weed whip instead.  If I can get to it.  I should also set up for watering tonight as well.  The back and side yard are being watered along with the hay grass.  Just the front and a few small areas in the back and side yard.

At noonthirty it is only 75° out there, 71° In the main, 68° up front.  Two fans are going is all.  Three, if the upstairs fan is included.  Both air conditioners are off though, for the first time since installing them, neither is running.  It will get warm up there, but with both running an hour before bedtime it will be 66° when I go to bed.

Oh, right, a shower first, and shave.  And something to eat before that... a tuna melt?  Later.

Oh, electronic fantasies.  Every man, real men, like to dig in, get dirty, play hard, and make things work.  Some don't for fear.  I am not for costs.  I can dream.

Oh, why solar?  For a travel rig, so as to go somewhere, anywhere, when it is too hot or cold.  Better to be out doing something than stuck in a near coma.  Plus, having a home to return to, and live normally most of the time.  Thing is, the solar would go, or stay, with me.  I would have a place on the house and conversion to set it up.  Never wasted.

A new week.

.
.
I forgot to get trash out.  I'll get that out later.  Not much to it, haven't been cooking or much else.  A single bigger bag, maybe a smaller secondary bag.  I saw the truck drive by as the ducks were let out.  Rather earlier than usual, but it cycles that way.  Mowing today as well.  A visitor stopped by for a bit, then intent was lost, yesterday.

Sleep was good.  The weaker ac will only keep it to 70°, no matter what settings are programmed in.  People wonder why "green" anything isn't trusted.  While 70° is fine, or was, there are times when I prefer it cooler.  Why put settings on it if they don't work.  The other ac, 1k btu rating weaker, would have had it 66° up there.

It was 55° outside this morning, 68° main and 64° In front.  I am getting used to the cooler weather.  I acclimate down much easier than acclimating up.  Down is only a bother if it falls between longer hot spells or comes with cloudy days.  The dark will crash my systems the hardest.

All out of boiled eggs.  Those make for excellent summer food.  Cool, fast, simple, with just a bit of front work.  I'll get another batch through today.  I ought to do sprouts as well.  Good cheap greens with solid real vitamin C, goes well with boiled eggs, and takes very little effort.  I am still limping by financially.  Another hard hit next month and all should be well.

A shower and shave shortly.  Then to mowing.  Perhaps resetting and ordering meds between those.  Closer.  Hmm, won't be starting full dose... A little more than half, for the first week.  Ugh, it's been a while.  Good morning and day.  Now get to it, burning daylight like we have it.

I... think so...

.
.
Waking dreams, memories, visions?

Mine, those of others'?  Her's?

Breaking the grip of summer?

.
.
Lots of sleep, and rest, the last few days.  Could not get to much, but have been able to eat a bit better.  The temps in the cave are staying very good.  I see 74° as the high, but only for the last hour before opening up for the night, as outside temps are lower or very close to that.  Upstairs has been 66° or 70°, depending on which ac is used, only one is needed at a time.  I may try putting them on fan mode tonight, opening windows as well.  It's a bit of a chore and pain, but might prove cheap enough for the bother.  It was 55°ish the last three nights.

It was a wonderful 66° downstairs, first thing.  In shorts and a t, it was fantastic.  Yesterday I went down at 19:19, couldn't stir until 4:30 or so.  Somehow I was up until 23:00 or 0:00?  I set the alarms at 6:00 and 7:30, ending waking at 7:27...  I love beating the alarm.  One out of two is better than zero for two.

Breakfast is soaking and brewing.  I finally bought the gooder chia.  That makes a vastly better porridge.  It soaks up a full cup of hot tea, and still needs cream cut with milk to be edible.  The other couldn't fully use a half cup and was watery even then.  Yeah, it costs more, but it lasts two to three months, every other to third day, for $10.  Cheaper in all ways isn't worth the hassle.  That and a fatted coffee and a minor insulin hit, at 155 blood sugar, 10 cc's.

I didn't mow yesterday.  Lost track.  I know it is Sunday, but the grass needs watered.  Mowing, perhaps weed whipping.  Got to do it.  As mentioned, it will be on the highest deck setting, and not over the recovering areas.  It really shouldn't take too long.  I am waiting for early afternoon, so as to reduce any potential offense it might offer.  I may fail, but I put some effort into attempting civility.

Later.
