I expected barking, or at least whining. She is still a puppy. But, no. Not even when other dogs were barking this morning, at her. Not a peep. Amazing.
Mom wanted her in last night, I said no. That would become every night. However, on one night a week, starting later next week (once she is adjusted to being outdoors as a usual), I agree she can be in for a day a week.
We were told she is housebroken. Will find out. Only allowed in mom's room. With the door shut. A cage, starting next month. Though, with a cage, the room door can be open to see if Sassy can sort her out. That is the final stress point that has to be arranged, covered.
But, so far, she is proving to be an amazing pick.
As it turns, she is a Shiba Inu, German Shepherd, mix. The dog that saved me, by running into traffic, stopping traffic, was named Shiba. A turn of time, a turn in return? No, we didn't know that when we got her. Initially told probably all shepherd. Didn't find this out until reading the paperwork from adoption.
The old lady, driving, didn't see me. She stopped, breaked hard, for Shiba. Who bolted to stand over me. Didn't see me until she got out to shoo the dog. Who wouldn't let any near me.
My brother, it seems, let me out. Still not sure if he was trying to help or kill me. Still not sure about the lad, to this day, at any given time. *grins*
Still, one more solid for the gal. I have to think her previous owner died. You wouldn't spend that kind if time, and possibly money, to simply turn such a dog in, over. Probably a guy, women just want to own, love, rarely master, befriend, a dog. Either a young man, learning his first powerful class of dog, or an old man wanting a smaller power class of dog. But, make no mistake, bitch, snaller, she is a power dog, a working class. Quite the little lady. Impresses even me, and that's a reasonable feat.
