A rest helped.

.
.
Then back to a few things.  Dishes have been set up.  Three and an half dozen eggs have been boiled and peeled, two dozen of those are about to be pickled, the others already went into a ziplock and then the fridge.  A cup and change of grain, seed, and lentil mix has been set to cook.  I checked the laundry, there isn't enough for a proper load so I'll check later in the week.  I have to finish the cooking, then put it up, and am hoping to do the dishes right after.  Cleaning up the cooking pot and scraper.  Hmm... hungry, but not for eggs.  Ah, I got two sandwiches today, thought I was very hungry.  Not so much, so I have an extra one.  Nuke the meat just a bit, then the bun around the meat just a bit more... should work.

I am feeling great again.  I might just have to ignore weekends, and work when I can.  Of course, there are problems with that.  Then again, there are problems with every system of work and effort.  Tomorrow, at the least, I will pump the kayak up and do some thinking, measuring, and cutting.  I'm not sure if I want the base t's right on the boat d-rings, or possibly a little bit off.  I'm not sure, even, quite yet, how best to attach the structure to the d-rings.  Lots of things still in the air.  That, and dishes if I don't finish them tonight.  Other than that, I'll probably take it a bit easier.  I am still thinking, if the pieces I have will work, that the sun shade will go up quite quickly.  Measuring, cutting, and fitting are all less than the planning.

The sprouts greened up a little.  I am hoping for sun tomorrow morning.  If so, I will give them an hour or two in it, to really green up, before capping them and putting them away in the fridge.  I should sleep well tonight.  Yes I should.  I almost forgot about coughing.  I haven't done it in a while now.  More, even the want of it has slowly faded.  Then again I am not doing direct exercise either.  I am still pulling a pretty good load though, if not quite as directly.  We'll see when I hit the trail, or bench, next.  All good though.  Really good.

Musical story, not for the faint of heart.

.
.
Started wild, went wilder.  Even if in shackles, with absolute guidance, that was just until I was released to do what it is I do.  And I did what I did with abandon.  Then... some things happened.  Things changed.  Voices in the dark, light somewhere off in the distance, a change of life.  Chaos still ruled, but the hold was weakening.

A bit.

.
.
Got the trolleys going.  Should work.  I put on two different systems, to see which would work best.  Mostly likely both will do.  Still, since it's all experimental, playing around is just fine.  I don't need absolutes or bling idealism, just... test and see.  I'll keep enough rope so that if one doesn't work I can shift them both over to the same rigging.  We got the pipe, but the first shot was the wrong size.  Should have checked.  Tinkered with ideas, and will do more.  He had to go, so it's up for now.  I figured out how to lock the valves open.  Last time that was not figured out, but it was my first gig.  No, I didn't actually even know they would lock open.  But after thinking about it, I figured there was a way and this time tinkered with it until the air valves locked.  It makes it a lot easier to fold up.

Between that and putting most of the larger furniture back into the living room, and tinkering with a few other things, I am bushed.  All good.  Yesterday was an off day.  I made up for that today.  And, I may still not be done.  I turned the furnace up to 74 to help dry the carpet, but forgot to turn it down.  Was wondering why it was so blasted hot.  Just took care of that, then opened the windows and doors to help cool the place off.  Ought to get boots and socks off, and down to shorts, to help.  Gotta keep shorts at least, as the sun has finally come out, but not on the house.  So I wetted the sprouts again, drained that, then put them out in the yard to help green up.  They should be ready tomorrow.  I just need to cook grains and eggs tonight to have something to eat them with.

Yes, boys and girls, I have things to do.  And I am doing them.  The ol' body will just have to keep up or fall down, as it needs.  Same with the mind.  My spirit is headed toward new things, hard places, dark times.  I'll either make the lump parts solid, or go to a better place to do what is going to be needed to be done.  One way or another.  Dig, lad, dig.  And don't stop until you hit gold!  Heh.  Later.

Well?

.
.

I have most of the furniture back in the living room, and yes I vacuumed first if I didn't mention that.  Again, my notion of work and time have gone astray.  It will take a full day, maybe too, to set the place back up again.  While I did pick up the small stuff, sorting as I went, there is still sorting, the figuring out where to put even what is there.  Well, and setting lamps, and pictures and their frames, and all that other stuff, where they might go.  The whole house is going to take some time.  Just getting back into the living room fully, is going to be a chore.  I still have to drill holes in the shelf arms so as to install the glass shelves, plus then I have to connect all of the wires for the systems and components.  Even without a cable box, but with surround stereo, it's... a bit of a chore.  Then I plan, whenever I do finish that, on going back through the areas I hit, to keep up.  All that before going on to the bedrooms and other areas.  My bedroom and this computer room are the last difficult areas.  The rest will just be a matter of mostly light work.

The one problem is that, so far, I keep having to gather and box and figure out a bunch of stuff that doesn't, yet, have a place to call it's own.  I don't have enough areas fully cleaned in order to just put it all somewhere.  I suppose I could use the computer room, here, but I would have to tackle it, at least to a degree, before trying to use it to order everything else that is otherwise being kept just ahead of the tide of cleaning.  When a cave has gotten into this condition, getting it all ordered is a tall order.  Still, that's the plan.  Well, and taking time between major room efforts, to keep up on what has been done already.  While I still hate vacuuming, and steam cleaning to be honest, at least I know the steam cleaner really isn't a high tech device... It's pretty simple, really.  The fill tank doesn't hold all that much, enough for a small to medium room, and the pick-up tank holds about two of those.  Tide works for cleaner, so no need to mess around trying to buy the right stuff for cleaner and it's always in stock (or meant to be).

While I may not be getting to formal exercise, I am working out.  Women don't need the gym, if they want to stay fit.  Just keep up on the house.  It won't ever be done, but... that is half of the point.  Although, once I get place clean, keeping up is much easier, then I can hit the trails and bench and whatever else, though I will throw those in when I can anyway.  Legs and arms are at least tightening up a great deal, the waist has dropped two belt holes, and I haven't keeled over from a heart attack or stroke.  I'll just keep pushing.

My actual fitness goal, before a run at Alaska, is benching 400, being able to tackle two days at ten miles a day of hiking with a full gear pack, and being able to camp hike for ten days twice in the summer and once in the winter, and being able to kayak camp for ten days.  Which means I need to learn food prep, gearing, and upgrade fitness a great deal.  I've got two, maybe three years, if I can squeeze it out of what remains of the world and myself.  Now, those are minimums.  I'm not heading to Alaska to commit suicide.  If I were even to think of such a stupid thing, I sure wouldn't be doing it this hard of a way!  As you may well know, living is the hard work, not dying.  I am definitely going with life.

Yeah, burned out a bit.

.
.
Late to bed, late to wake.  The work and the dark are getting to me.  No major problems, I stumbled across the line into weekend.  A weekend I'm going to abuse.  Already did.  Took a shower right off, before waking.  Then I vacuumed the living room.  I'm not going to mess with assembling the living room until after the kayak gets work, if that does go forward.  I do plan to at least restore some of the living room, so as to hit the kitchen and etc. areas Monday, again.  It looks like I am overbooking again, but so be it.  I'll rest when I can.  I just want some things done, and I want the living room and kitchen back, at least enough that I don't feel so squished into too small of a fish bowl.  I'll rest when I'm dead, I guess.

Hard dreams.  When I ramp up to become this tight, it's hard to hurt my feelings.  These dreams did.  Love that.  At least when I am ramped up.  Gives me nitrous boost.  Sure, something could blow.  But the way the gig is rigged, I'd probably never see it.  *Ka-Bluey!*  Some dame will be standing off to the side, shouting, "Do it again, daddy!"  Bitch.  Part of why I like em', so I don't care.

Hmm?  Yeah, probably woke with my 12... 13... 14? (yeah, my feet are getting bigger, I think I'm in a growing spell again, maybe) boot on the pedal.  Dreams, partly, rest day yesterday, frustration with yesterday, and prep for ripping and tearing on things today have got my engine stoked right from the start.  I hadn't even awaken before I watched my old porcine dead corpse hopping out of the shower like it knew what it was doing.

With the return of the gps, I went ahead and ordered a few other things on my list.  A medicine guide, that includes herbals and such, a professional one; some more kit for the water and boat including a an earth screw anchor, hand strengtheners starting at about where my hands are now, running up to 250 squeeze, for now; moleskin that was the best price I have seen around; a six-pack of small potent deet sprays, and a few other things.  Oh, a couple of jars of pickled pork feet.  I figure if I have several jars of pork and eggs, I can have a jar of treats available every other month.  Six, set up or bought, will last a year.  Even dogs get treats, you know.

Well... A cup of coffee as I wait for a call, one way or the other.  And then figure things out from there.  Oh, and yeah, for what it is worth, I have watered and drained the sprouts, and set them where they can get whatever sun might be available today.  Should be done tomorrow.

No, not much.

.
.
I have been moving the fans around, trying to hit the still moist areas.  Tipping when needed.  Well, and chasing Sam off.  Yeah, she already "broke" in the carpeting.  Love the little beast, but that part of her, if I could, I would wring out of her.  A couple of meals, nothing fancy.  Though I did grind cheddar for nachos.  Medium cheddar, the old stuff isn't really to my taste after much effort, and lessor cheeses are just that.  I sort of like pepper-jack, if it's the real kind, but even then only as an add to medium cheddar.  Just chips and cheese, thank you.  Hmm, though sliced jalapeno can be good, pickled works as well.

While today is a bust, tomorrow will see me to working on the kayak.  I don't know if it will be completed, but it should be pretty well planned.  I expect the trolleys to be rigged, but the sun shade/rain roof is questionable.  I guess tomorrow will just have to replace today.  I need to buy a group of 3/4" x 10 pvc, schedule 40?.  I'll try to be up and make a run to the store first thing.  I think I guestimated that I need eleven, so will buy twelve.  I should by thirteen, but I know I over-estimated, so one extra for insurance... and cutting before measuring twice, should do.  I best check, but I believe I have a pvc pipe cutter that will work.  Might as well check.  At least, having somewhat organized tools, I know where it should be... in the plumbing toolbox.  If I put it back the last time I used it, and if it hasn't "walked" away otherwise.

I simply could not push through today.  Not having counted on the living room not going back together today, miscalculating how long everything would take and how much was involved, and the rain, plus having pushed all week, and before, just all combined to bring me down.  Still more active, checking on the sprouts, wandering around, checking the floor and adding, then moving, the fans around, and other little things throughout the day, than I have been on some of the better of days in the last thirty years.  I won't complain.  A bit disappointed, but still too tired to rise to a grump about it.

I have been doing bits of research, and reading otherwise.  I keep looking for thick planks to use in the bathroom.  I am hoping to find something(s), of wood, that can be polished and finished, to use to put a sink on, and another below it for towels and general shelving.  Wood is preferred.  I had dreamed of four inch thick lumber, but... maybe not.  At least 2"x20" (or 10" planks doubled) x 42", and two of those.  Tacking those to the wall will be a bit of a trick, especially with the weight of a sink on the top one, and any water it might hold.  But it's doable.  Perhaps middling brackets below, and end brackets above, for the top one anyway.  This coming month I believe I will finally be ordering the sink, in-sink drain, faucet, and drain.  I already have the new toilet and water heater for in there.  The only thing I need/want, other than what I might be buying next month, is a medicine chest.  I would prefer one that fits into the wall between the studs, has mirrors that fold out on either side, and I'd like lighting though that last may be beyond me to install.

That'll be a heck of a project.  I'll have to rip out the old toilet, sink and stand, possibly flooring, and build much of that back together before I even begin installing the rest.  Well, that actually means I need flooring, at least surface stuff, too.  I might as well give it fresh paint while I am at it.  I know, it takes forever.  And I haven't honestly done any of the big projects I thought I would.  Perhaps just a pipe dream... but I have, and will be buying, some of the stuff and soon.  Actually, more of the materials, as I do have some of it.  Hmm... hopefully before it becomes too cold to attempt working with the water and pipes though.  Ugh.

Tomorrow.

.
.
Beside working on the boat, tomorrow is cooking day.  Boiled eggs don't last much more than a week, neither do cooked grains.  I might be pushing it at that, but... it's close enough.  I don't know if I will get to some other cooking/food prep things tomorrow, but they are on my shorter list.

I have discussed pickling eggs before.  It's simple enough, I just never quite had everything together all at once.  Now, I have half gallon jugs, which... if the video is correct, will take about two dozen eggs each.  I don't, currently, have enough eggs, but I do have everything else, and probably enough eggs to do one or two jars, leaving the last for later.  A good thing for some week I don't have the time to boil and peel eighteen eggs, or at least it might buy me a few days until I can.  Plus as a treat.  I used to love these, not sure I still do.  As I am finding though, food doesn't have to be loved, just eaten.

Not much today.

.
.
I might get to a few things, but today just isn't going anywhere fast.  The floor wasn't as dry as I first thought, so I put two fans to work, on their highest settings.  Between it being overcast, feeling a bit  claustrophobic with my most of my home shut off with either furniture or a wet carpet, and having worn myself out this week, I'm just not seeing my way to much.  I would like to hit the bathroom, and maybe do a bit of work in the kitchen anyway.

Eating might have helped.  Maybe not.  I was hungry when I went to bed, just too tired to do much about it.  It's been pretty much the same since I got up.  At least food is easy enough, if I decide to bother with it.  To be honest, a few very small meals a day, sometimes only one, is plenty.  Even on the heavy days.  Scoring a big roast beef sandwich, or other meal, a couple of times a week is good, but not necessary.  Most of what I eat is cold, save the grains which I do heat up, and meat with it when I go there.  Nothing is all that tasty, but even that isn't much of a problem.  Still, I think food was one of the keys, and started with my neighbors bringing it.  It's tenuous still, as I just started figuring out the gritty details of more regular food on my own.  If I can keep this up for a while, I will begin looking at foods that can be carried.  Dehydrated could be a part of it, but not the whole of it.  Sprouts, dry beans though lentils are best since they cook so fast.  Not sure what else.  Fruits, dairy, and meat other than game and fish, is out.  But I will want to figure out fats.  Bush food, without added fats, will get you.  Even a small container of lard or tallow, perhaps.  Butter won't keep.  Offal, from game and fish, might help but it isn't enough alone.  Nuts might be good, they are fairly light, loaded with fat, and might last a bit if packed right.

No fun and games, technically, for next summer.  I am hoping to be in good enough shape to take several ten-day pack trips.  Just me and my pack.  If I can do that, then in the winter, taking a few more trips like that, as well.  Which means I best start car-camping this summer.  Just to get my kit settled, figure some things out as to camp setup and organization, and begin practicing food prep and all.  No cooler on the packs, but I can use them for car camping.  Then again, no reason not to take something like a few beers on hikes.  You can always tie one off in a stream, and have it after camp is pitched.  At least, if you hike in the mountains.  Deserts might be interesting, but those aren't really my areas, and not what I am aiming at.

Can't get warm today, which isn't helping.  Too many mostly cloudy days, too many days of pushing, it was bound to hit.  I'll still do some things, eventually.  Still taking the weekend off, other than work on the kayak, laundry if I have enough, maybe dishes, and a few other little things.  Reading, yeah, I suppose I'll get more of that in.

What a mistake.

.
.
No, the deal I made with regards to my home, to the best of my knowledge, was a good deal.  The problem wasn't the deal, but who I did business with.  They almost haven't stopped calling me since then about better deals.  None of which I am interested in.  What they do, essentially, is steal everything you have put into the home, for an offer that may or may not even pan out.  Further, the number they use to call, when called back, is not connected.  I assume they rent unused numbers on a rolling basis, or some such, so they can't be connected with.  Two sometimes three times a day these jackwagons call.  Sometimes with a free offer for a trip to the Bahamas, sometimes a robo call, sometimes there is someone on the line, but that caller doesn't know what the call is about.  "You won!  Yeah!"  Bite me.  I can only assume their business model is based on continuous hard-pressure "sales" and taking all collateral built into people's homes, and they prey on the disabled, veterans and others.  If I continue to get calls, even scrap calls, I'll be naming names and calling my state's attorney general.

I got just such a call moments ago.  This time it was a live woman.  She didn't know what it was about, but transferred me to some guy who was all ready to lay things out.  I told him, simply, I wasn't interested in a change, of any kind.  Oh, he tried to hit hard, telling me what my new program would be.  I didn't let him finish, shot him down, and told him to keep his company off my back and what I would do if he didn't.  We'll see.  I expect a lot of payback phone harassment from "third-party" companies his company is allowed to dump my number over to.  No reason to call corporate on this, this is THEIR plan, it's how they stay in business, I guess.  Damned vampires.  I hate to fuss, I've got too much else on my plate.  If need be, I'll get to cracking that whip, too, though.

Carpet is already nearly dry?

.
.
Yes, but I'm going to give it another day.  I worked until 1:00, and maybe change.  I was right though.  The next runs were very easy.  I rinsed it twice, then ran the machine over it, dry two more times.  Still a lot of work.  That machine starts to weigh more each time, I swear.  I will still need to vacuum when it is finally dry.  At first I thought it was carpeting tufting.  Not I think it's mostly cat and my hair that had just gotten pushed down.  Though some of it is carpeting.  The girls sharpen their claws on it, even if I attempt to suppress that behavior.  They had a scratch post.  When they are fussing betwixt one another, especially Sam, will tear into whatever carpeting is near... as a threat behavior.

I woke at around 10:00.  Plus, minus, can't be sure.  I know I looked, but memory was tenuous.  I couldn't find the blood sugar tester, so just scrapped testing this morning.  I was thirsty right now, and didn't want to fuss.  I'll get the devices together and ready so that some morning, soon, I can do a vitals check.  A bowl of peanuts, for breakfast.  I watered and turned the alfalfa.  I think today is the second day.  Supposed to take three days.  I have the jar angled slightly down, and into a ramekin to drain.  Three or four times a day... a quick wet and drain, a bit of shuffling to get the sprouts to part a bit, then back to the slow drain.  Tomorrow I will introduce them to some sun, as they finish, so as to green up a bit.  Well... even if it doesn't work out, or whatever, it's a little side project to do.

Today?  Yeah, like I said, at least another day to let the room dry, so I won't be putting things back, or vacuuming.  Monday for that.  And while I can't hit the kitchen as I would like, I can do some of that, and really hit the bathroom, I have decided.  If I have extra, I might begin sorting in the bedroom.  Oh, and maybe a hike.  I'm not sure I can get out.  I am running out of juice, pushing pretty hard.  I'll think on it all as I wake.

Oh, I don't know if I mentioned, but I did attempt to get the french braid in at the shop.  I was doing okay, but... sort of ran out of steam, then lost the middle strand, and just sort of stopped.  She was impressed at what I had done though, so... a bit more practice, and not drinking a fifth at night, will see me to that in short order.  I'll begin practicing again, daily, until I have that down, and then perfect it... mostly.  Just a decent option for keeping my hair tucked back and out of the way.

Whatever else, I am ready for the weekend.  Just a day to go and then I can rest.  I need to practice just resting, relaxing.  I'm not good at that.  Even while I can't do much, my mind is often racing ahead.  Even when I was completely down, my mind and will where trying to force their way out.  My disability has been a miserable thing, I never learned to enjoy it, only ride it.  On the good side, if I had ever surrendered, I would never have gotten to this place.  Better to be miserable but with hope, then... hopelessly blissful?  I think so.

I never quite calculate the whole thing.

.
.
On the good side, what had been a pink stain is now more of a purple or mauve, and lighter.  I hate pink.  On the other side, It looks like I'll be hitting it again, with soapy water, then once with clear water, and once or twice dry, just pulling up water.  I guess I thought one hit would do it, then one rinse.  I don't think so.  I'll be ready for bed, even with the late nap.  It's not difficult work, it just, time after time, dealing with this and that on the side, and the rest... gets to me.  Yeah, I'll work on through and finish the various runs yet tonight.  A break between because I had to hit a missed spot, but the rest should be easier, straight runs, mostly.

With the kitchen area filled, I'm not sure what I will do tomorrow.  I wasn't able to get the last of the Christmas lights down.  If the wind isn't hitting hard, and it isn't raining, I could get to that.  I suppose I could begin working a bit in the bedroom, just organizing a bit.  I'm not sure I have a lot to put into things.  But who knows.  I feel that way, often, after a busy day.  And, often even in the morning, right before I pitch in.  Probably only doing three or four hours of work, total.  But it is wiping me out.  And I have to do it on my time, taking breaks when needed, and a nap if that is needed.

Still, I suspect if medical was watching, they would be more than a bit surprised.  They still think I'm going to pop anytime soon, and sooner rather than later.  If I remember, I'll check my bp and blood sugars in the morning, before I take meds or eat.  That's the trick for those.  Oddly, my blood sugar is usually higher fasting than it is the rest of the day.  Yeah, something odd in there?  Well, unless I eat a bag of m&m's, or something like that, anyway.  I'm letting the carpet soak a bit.  I missed a spot, so had to scrub that before taking a break.  But missing one spot on that floor wasn't doing too badly.  I'll have to vacuum it, again, when it dries.  Might put some baking soda down before I vacuum.  Not that it actually smells too bad, just... sort of... because.

On to music while I rest.  This will be it for the night.  Good night.

Back to it.

.
.
After the run to town, I ended up needing sleep.  I couldn't be sure if a nap would do or if the day was over, so I took medication and called it good, just in case.  As it turns out, a few hours down was all that was needed.  I didn't bother with the alarm, if I needed sleep, it would have just been an annoyance.  Now, when I woke, I really didn't want to get to work.  Tired, very tired.  Not sore, not weak, not... just... tired.  But feelings mean little.  I really want to get the floor done tonight so as to hit the kitchen and bathroom areas tomorrow, and then have a light weekend.  So...  Hmm... actually, I won't be able to do much in those back areas, not until the floor dries.  Much of the furnishings are out there, very much in the way.  Bleh...

I vacuumed the room, just having to jostled the couch and lovechair around.  I vacuumed around the edges first, then hit the main floor, after sweeping up larger bits to the degree that was possible.  Yeah, I did say man-cave, didn't I?  I vacuumed over some areas twice, even three times, until nothing else was coming up.  There are several spots on the carpet, ones I was sure the steam cleaner wouldn't get, or well, as they were.  So I put detergent and vinegar, plus water, into a bucket, grabbed a new sponge with a scrunchy on one side, and got to work.  Something red/pink... probably from one of the crystal light juices... is there.  I don't think it's going to come up.  I've hit it twice, and might hit it one more time before I steam clean.  As per my mother's instructions, I'll just be using laundry detergent.  I'll give the spots I hit an hour to work, and hit the stain again, before running the steamer.

It doesn't seem like much, but I am running myself pretty ragged.  I think I could do more, but then I thought that even when I was nearly in a literal coma to when I was at full health and pulling a hell of a load.  I'm not sure how much to push.  I know I am pushing well past what I thought I could do, and beyond, and beyond again, if that doesn't seem to mean all that much.  Well, strength is increasing, and speed on the trail.  Oh, and I have gone down two hitches on my belt.  I've got two more that I can go down on the belt before I need a new one.  So, there are some indications that something meaningful is about to happen.

Yes, I have been watering and draining the alfalfa.  Yes, I see, it and the bean mix have phytoestrogens.  I'll have to see how much is tolerable to eat, for a man.  Food is being kept pretty simple.  I'm not even eating near as much meat... Usually just a smaller chunk thrown in with the grain mix, and eggs of course.  I am allowing myself two meals in town, after a hike or grocery run.  The only thing is I am only allowing french fries for one meal, and no soda (when I can resist, which is usually... today was just a test day I think).  Medicines are going down rightly.  I do need to reorder those though.  I am doing everything I can, and more.  I'll begin buying patches, to quit tobacco, this coming next month.  I will probably just go with a two month's supply, purchased one month at a time.

Yeah, I'm moving along.  I just wish I could get more active exercise in.  After the living room, I might take a week off to focus on that, and make exercise more... regular, try to integrate it more fully.  But I am seriously pushing, as is.  I... I'll do what I can, I guess.

Somewhat surprised.

.
.
Getting to town, to the appointment, pretty much on time, was easier than usual.  Even with last night's revelry.  I doubt if you can understand being perpetually late, so having to try to be somewhere early... but not too early or you burn out, fall asleep, or such.  Life is tricky this close to some lines.  Anyway, I made it just about as exactly on time as is right, maybe fifteen minutes early?  Something.

Before I left I took the metal and wood remnants from the tv stand out to the garage, and since it was sunny, I put the area rug out as well.  I didn't have time to beat the soil out of it, but at least some air.  I could beat on it when I returned.  After the trim, I went looking for some of the components I'll want for building the sun shield on the kayak.  I had to go to three stores, even then I didn't find all I had hoped to find.  These parts might be right, might be enough, or I might have to rig something.  Some parts just don't seem all that available.  I should be able to get the trolleys rigged, and get a basic setup going for shade structure.  I may have to order any special fittings to complete, but the basics will be down, and then just final construction.  I'd love to get it done, but if the parts aren't right, and I don't have a was to manipulate them...  I do have the heat gun, which might work for some minor molding.  Anyway...

A bit of food.  I really wanted a soda with the sandwich, but... resisted.  Tea, unsweetened.  I'm going to have to cut sugar, carbs in general.  But candy and such has been hounding me lately.  A nearly irresistible sweet tooth has laid hold of me.  I won't win every time, but it's a battle I need to get back to fighting.  As I was leaving, hell clouds and wind came up from the south.  Then rain, some of it resembling weak hail.  I remember the carpet being out so rushed home.  At first I thought there was no way I would make it.  Then, a bit further, I thought I could, and might have time to beat on it for a bit.  As it turns out, I made it absolutely just in time.  As I got out of the vehicle, a really tiny droplet hit me.  No more for the rest of my quick strides to and back with the rug.  Just, absolutely to the minute, on time though.  Ah well, I'll eventually have a clear, dry, sunny day to work that over.

I'm not going to mess with the boat stuff today.  I would, however, like to get in and vacuum and steam clean the rug.  I just need a little rest.  Store hopping takes it out of me, and it was sunny, warm... hot almost.  Over 60 and I lose potency quickly.  Not even the cool that has come up will recharge that drain all that quickly.  Still, I can get some good work in.  If I finish in there, tonight, I can go hit the kitchen and side areas again.  Maybe vacuuming will be enough for that area rug, then just steam clean it too?  Yeah, probably, now that I am thinking these things over.  I should be able to get those areas back into shape before the weekend, then maybe do some light work... dishes, laundry, and the like, over the weekend.  Doing what I can.

Love baths!

.
.
To think, for all these years, I have avoided bathing.  Only showering.  Then again, I really didn't have what it took to keep a tub clean before, say, the last few years, and more like this last year really.  Olive oil and salt, hot water, feet getting soaked and pumiced down to almost real skin.  I'm starting to think I don't have skin under the... stuff... on my feet though.  I've been at them for months, at least a good soak and scrub weekly, on top of showers, and more like two to three times a week, and my feet are still rough.  I am keeping up on the cuticles though.  Untended, and showering doesn't help, they become like razor wire.  Literally they cut skin like a blade.  And I am digging out the toenails, scrapping off the excess skin that otherwise grows over, cleaning underneath for easier trimming, and staying aware of their length, trimming when necessary.  No, you don't get when it when I suggested that I sat for decades.  Toenails might get trimmed every six months to year.  Now, it's probably every other week, though be need through feel.

I have an appointment today, and haven't been able to do more than get my wardrobe for the outing picked and set, and get the shower and bath in.  I spent time, after the bath, scrubbing the tub a bit though.  It'll need more work, soon.  After I finish vacuuming and steam cleaning the living room, as I suggested, I'm going back over the kitchen and bathroom areas... sort of keeping my baffles clear, before moving on to my bedroom.

That leaves the spare bedroom (doesn't need much), the upstairs (mostly just needs sorted... boxes from when I moved in) then the floor vacuumed and steam cleaned (as with the spare bedroom), and then this, the computer room.  The computer room will be the last room hit.  It will be one of the bigger jobs, comparable to the living room, and maybe bedroom, combined.  Sorting, mostly.  A perfect job for winter.  Bleh.  I hate sorting, organizing.  Then again, I am doing it, and fairly well.

With the gps returned, I started looking over four season tents.  The tent I have is fine for two and an half seasons, really.  That won't do.  If I keep going, I'll keep saving, and purchase a true four season expedition tent.  It'll be a gift after my third or fourth snowshoeing expedition.  From now on, nothing new until I prove to myself I will use it.  I'm not even up to hiking and camping in 'fair' weather yet.  Still, I'm looking.  I might have to go car camping sometime, if nothing else, to kick start those skills until I can venture forth.  Not even sure where exactly to camp and hike.  I am trying to avoid state and federal parks, save as a social thing.  Too many rules, eyes, and I never feel really welcome.  More like it's the rangers land, and even having paid it seems more like I am trespassing than even allowed to be there.  I'm sure there are places I can go that don't include ranger swat teams and such.

I best get going.  Have a good one.  And... get busy!

Looks like a wild one last night.

.
.
Yeah, well, it will happen.  While it may seem wilder than it really was, while the fire burned, it burned hot.  Why?  Duh.  Johny can only work to a dull point for just so long before he sprints for the finish line, or off the track to a fishing hole, or goes off the track some other way.  Prior to working as I have been, I was too ill, and avoiding this stuff.  Has it been a year?  Don't know, but it's be a long time since I slipped the rails and went free-wheeling.  Anywho, I'm awake and about to figure out the day.  As my mother suggested, just because we slipped the noose doesn't mean you don't pay.  Yeah, she, and most other women, often allowed a little extra sleep... if able.  But they also loved to push me out of bed at some point as well.

I became frustrated with the living room yesterday.  Job after task after, after, after, and I never could seem to see the end of that line!  I still have a pile of things to take to the garage, a pile to be put... somewhere, and I need to figure out where to put a few more things.  Plus, I want to work on the floor before vacuuming.  I would say sweep, but not quite.  So close.  And I keep banging my head on one more little thing in there.  I simply took the evening off, at some point.

Breakfast, coffee... no need for anacin, but a little wake time an fluid would be good.  I love the grain mix with meat, slightly microwaved, then with a side of fruit and a half cup of milk.  My sized cup.  Still, I am trying to drink less dairy as it seems to be snotting me up.  I found I could have a splash of regular milk in my coffee, but not much more.  A half a cup of milk seems reasonable to my system a few times a week as well.  Anything more and the coughing and wheezing seem to come back and attach with a vengeance.

Do you realize how good I have been doing?  It's a crazy thing.  I am, to my way of thinking, about have way through completely cleaning my cave.  Sure, I'll have to go back over what I have hit so far so as to have a solid front, and I have a lot left, but... it's almost impossible to have thought I could do this, get this far.  Throw in exercise... if somewhat irregularly... and you've got a running miracle.  I don't even see a slow down coming.  I might fall, but barring that?  Further, I am doing it right through some seriously cool weather.  When it heats up is usually when I am more able to push things.  It's absolutely crazy.  When the way to something opens, it begins to become clear.  Alaska is looming larger.  On the good side, those of you who hate men, want to see us controlled, and know I won't be?  I'll be out of your hair.  Yeah, go ahead, do it yourselves, sweet peas.

Vox was right, SJW types (feminists, queers, minorities) truly do hate men.  Which only matters since most men have allowed it.  As men stop caring, or even trying to negotiate or stay involved, it simply won't matter.  You want a cellphone, hell... a house, a car?  Build it yourself.  The more men who back out, and take off, the more you are going to realize, it isn't we who need you, or anything... especially a system that is just a chain around our neck.  Or, more simply, go fuck yourself.  Literally, figuratively, or in any way, or with anything, that suits you.  Abide or become irrelevant to the mind of man.  You really don't want to go there, but at this point, I don't think there is a choice.

Later.

----

Oh, I did set a teaspoon of alfalfa to water, then drained it before sleep.  I'm not seeing any activity with it.  I don't know what to expect though.  Something about not giving it sun until it begins, and not so much sun that it dries out... just enough to great it.  The mesh I have seems to be good enough to drain the seeds without spilling them out.  They say two to three days.  I'd like to refresh the water three times a days, since it's so easy... being able to just fill and pour, without needed to use the chinoise.  Twice if all else fails, when I take medicine.  I'm curious what all can be done with that and how it tastes.  I'll beat there are bean and sees out there I will like a lot, and mixes that might even get me to like the stuff, rather than eat it just as more easily digested portable vitamin and mineral sources.  Gotta stay away from the seeds that are rich in phytoestrogens.  That's part of what is poisoning so many men these days.  Organic?  Idiots.  Anyway... that means research.  I know some beans have to be avoided, just not which ones.  Soy is bad for it, maybe others.

No hike.

.
.
Between finally getting to a meal, and the magnetism of work, I just didn't get out in time.  I did get to town.  I returned the gps and additions, then returned the cable box.  Oh, and I picked up several types of sprouting seeds.  A mix, and then straight alfalfa seed.  I almost bought the sprouting kit, but then decided against.  I know I have jars, and was pretty sure I had screen material.  If the screening isn't tight enough, I have a chinoise that is fine enough to handle quinoa easily, so it should work.  Messy, perhaps, but such is life... and just until they are started a bit, perhaps.  I was thinking, yesterday or the day before, that some green in with the grain* mix, one hot, the other cold, would be good.  I'd like to experiment with this stuff, maybe even take it on the path if I can get into overnight, and longer, outings.  A little green I can trust.  Don't believe those who say you can safely live off the land.  Much of what is green, brown, and any other color can and will kill you.  Much of what is safe to eat looks just like what is not safe to eat.  Do you really want to count on being an absolutely perfect walking biology encyclopedia?  I'm doing good to pick out the full fat items from the store, so deciding if that is a wild onion, or a poison replicant, based on a slight odor difference, while I might be thirsty, hungry, and overworked, doesn't sound like a plan.  Cheap, enough, and light dry.  Not even all that difficult to grow, just a little time, light, water, and fuss.

I have been tearing into the living room.  Cleaning this and that, sorting wires, cleaning the glass plates.  I just need to figure out how to drill holes into the shelf arms.  Seems simple enough, but you aren't looking at the problem up front.  Rounded tops, hollow, and that metal is something else to work with.  Hmm... the little drill press I bought off my friend, that might work.  I think there was even a bit of gear at the base, for containing materials.  I'm not sure if it is that strong, fine, etc...  Yeah, might go check that out.  The metal being as hard as it is, I'll want to start with small bits and work up.  Plus, I'm not exactly sure what size is needed.  You can't put material back, but you can always take off more.  I'll do that, then consider vacuuming before I call it a day.  If I can do that, I'll be ready to steam clean tomorrow.  Before I go to bed, I'll get out the plastic runners.

It is taking forever, and I keep missing things, like working out, hiking, or even getting much done.  And yet, the effort is just pouring out.  I am running at capacity, plus, even so.  The boat should be ready to hit the water after this weekend, so I'll be starting that up next week.  Maybe Monday!  I am hoping, though, to have the carpet done by the weekend, most of it.  Perhaps all of it, if I do it right, maybe?  I'm getting there.  Oh, next week I am going to begin checking on my phone.  If it's time, and I think it might be, I'll be going to a landline only.  Speaking with the woman at the cable company, I suggested that I was one of the first people with a cellphone.  People laughed.  I'm also one of the first to be dumping my cellphone.  And, again, people are laughing.  She suggested that a simpler life was a goal.  I suggested that was one way.  She said she needs her text messaging and calls.  I should have asked what she did without them, before them... she was older than me, if I had to guess.  Instead, I just said I was planting seeds.  She's her own management.  But that it wouldn't allow for simplicity.  Oh, the look.  Yeah, she knows.  She really does.  Just doesn't like to think too much about it.  Not yet.  I'm a trend starter, even as a quitter, though, I think.  We'll see... two to six years seems to be the general rule.  For me it is the expense, invasiveness, and uselessness. and some other things.

Hmm... a bowl of cherries, a little music, then I'll get on the drilling, then finish clearing the living room as needed, and then vacuuming.  Oh... I was becoming overwhelmed with all the tools, so I put them all up.  And, this weekend or sooner, I'll have to sweep, and maybe mop, in those first areas, again.  I don't mind going forward, but not so far forward that I forget my trail.  Yeah... I'm... getting there.  Grumpy as a bear, shaving the pith will do that.

The payoff of the long and steady?

.
.
Every time I go out to prepare something for breakfast... *click*, like a magnet I go right back to work.  This time I started working on getting the components out of the floor shelving.  Lots and lots o' wires.  I always forget, overlook, ignore, until they are in my hands and having to be dealt with again, for whatever reason.  WIRES!  Wireless isn't better, just invisible, possibly toxic.  As if this many wires isn't already.  Hey, but... out of mind, out of sight, for some.  Until the lesions I suppose.  Never mind that last, just trying to be cheery.  You are welcome.

Anyway, so I get the components out, mostly intact from what I can tell.  Oh, yeah, if you have arms, for shelving, sticky out from the wall 18" over what you are working on below?  Remove them.  No mishap required, just a bit of fussing and dodging before the notion struck.  No eyes were lost in the making of this blog post.  I did try, mind you.  Came as close as is probably possible.  Yeah, take down long pointy things, if possible, when they stick out at eye level while you are working on stuff, more so working in already cramped quarters.  So, after components, I removed the glass shelving to see what the floor-based shelving setup looked like.

Perfect.  The glass was held on by suckers, and the shelves were simply rectangular frames, of welded squares actually, bolted to either the body frame or back brace.  They all came off and out easily.  No hitch, no trick, no problems.  I decided to leave the top shelf and frame together as a single structure.  I will put that particular piece of glass, after returning the suckers that hold it, back in.  It will work as a small coffee type table.  I don't do coffee on tables, coffee tables or otherwise, but I do have... things that need to go somewhere.  Due to a slight imbalance, it needs to go against a wall, but I can do that.  The rest of the metal can be used for various things.  I am thinking they might work for the construction of a solar oven... making it slightly beefier than wood alone.  Or... who knows.  But good strong metal, and bolts, if the intended design was an absolute failure.  Lemons?  Make lemonade, you know.

So, I have that all stripped.  Everything sorted into cave and garage piles, and simply need to sort the wires and components, move them, and just a bit more, and I should be ready to vacuum before long.  Maybe not today, with what all else is planned, but... it's getting there.  As to the wall-mounted shelving?  As I suggested, the shelves came out as frames, rectangular.  And they would work.  But why add the extra weight?  I am thinking of simply drilling holes for the suckers, right into the shelf arms, then simply attaching the glass to those.  It would save some weight, and the metal frames could be used for something else.  I'm not sure how strong those shelf arms are, so... one less thing to worry... as much... about.  Innit?

Hmm... not sure about time.  I might be able to get the shelving up, and the components stacked, before a shower then hiking.  I don't know for sure.  I want breakfast... uhrm lunch anyway... though too!  I might be able to fit it all in.  As to the title?  It seems that, even when running into absolute headwind, maybe even being shoved by it into negative territory, it seems that keeping at it might have solid rewards.  A lesson, as I go further, and might face such headwinds, even stronger ones, lasting longer periods of time.  Just... keep plugging away.  If you feel like exploding?  Don't.  You'll just regret it.  I would have, I am almost sure.  Ignore emotions until you get back to your feet, in positive territory, back on your way, and then can reflect during a break.  Yeah... yeah, I think so.

Oh, yeah, I already printed the return label for the gps and accessories, have them packaged, taped, and ready to go.  A quick stop on my way through town to the hike.  Dang kids anyway.  I don't think I need anything from the stores today, so... Just a hike, maybe a dinner on the way back.  Oh... is it just me, or have fast food chains... been having trouble keeping good hires?  Are they helping with Zero's "problems"?  Something is going off the rails.  I have exited using most fast food restaurants in town, I'm down to using one or two, and those...  I won't eat in a place I don't trust.  And that trust comes through having workers that don't offend every sense of civil, normal, clean, and neat that I have.  I'm an cave ogre, but even I have standards.  If McDonalds, and several others, are trying to get ahead through political machinations, allowances, or such, at least locally, they are doing it all wrong.  At least for me.  I won't eat in what I suspect is a pigpen, run by gangers or other questionable sorts.  Just won't do it.  And get CNN off your televisions.  If you can't, then get rid of the televisions altogether.  Actually, I would prefer the latter.  I don't appreciate any propaganda while I eat, and don't believe sports are legit, so don't even bother with that.  Sheesh, guys.  Your murdering your own businesses for the approval of politicians who want to see you put out of business.  What DON'T you get?  Gah!  Oh?  Oh yeah.  Watch what is happening to insurance companies.  Go on, take a look.  Idiots.

Just so you know.

.
.
While I have been ramping up physical activity, cleaning, food, and those other things I suggested, I haven't dropped the ball on other start-ups and regular dailies.  I still do daily sudoku, and I read nearly daily... usually several little bits of time while resting.  I am not reading at a record pace, but the equivalent of a short story a day, sometimes a bit more.  I have plans to add a bit more into my regimen.  Lessons for this or that.  Topics I have mastered at some point or other, then up through my highest achievements perhaps, then maybe on into areas I don't know in new or old fields.  Well, that is the plan.  Sort of like windsprints, those aren't for tomorrow, or next week.  Fall, winter, next spring, can't be sure.  And no promises.

Oh, and I am probably returning the gps.  The base maps on it are all but useless.  I can't even be sure the thing works right.  Advanced maps, from what I am hearing, are great.  The problem is they are expensive.  Plus, you have to update them, probably yearly.  The road maps for the US are... mostly... reasonable.  And they are for the complete US.  The river and lake maps, however, are only good on the scale of 1/2 to 1/3 of a state, at about $160 per scale.  I wonder if bigger states, such as Alaska and Texas have even more regions.  Probably.  You don't get much for all that, not enough.  And, that doesn't include "outdoor" maps (topographic).  Those are another $60-$90, and only cover a few states, while not being easy to use on the trail... or even all that accurate some suggest.  So, for water, road, and trail, just for this state, I'm looking at $160 x 2 or 3 -river/lake, plus $130-roads US, plus (say) $70-topo... $480 + $130 + $70 = $680... for one year.  I don't know how much updates are.  I just know that maps are beyond my reach up front.  I wonder if the government is even getting a kickback, or just politicians, for Garmin using USGS satellite data for their products?  Yeah, the gps is going back.

I still haven't gotten to breakfast yet.  But then I put in a good show before I woke.  A price must be paid, here, there, now, or later.  I'll get to that, see about printing a return label and getting that back in the box and returned, and then head to town a bit after all that.  Later.

Before I even woke.

.
.
I had two pieces cut, but one of them was... off.  For the shelving, done yesterday.  None of my tools seemed to be working for a third cut of the material yesterday.  With the blades I bought yesterday, and yet a great deal of effort, I got the final cut this morning.  Most metal is soft, this was not.  It must have been hardened.  I remind, I tried the angle grinder on it yesterday... before seeing the folly in that... and only nicked it.  The grinder hadn't even cut clean through.  I used a blade in the sawsall that is supposed to be for harder metal.  It was a beast even so, I think the blade is a ruin as well.  But, done.  Then I arranged those pieces on the wall, got one drilled in, which was a beast as well.  It's like they used iron wood in there.  I ended up having to drill a smaller starter hole, then a larger one.  Even then the screws were a beast to get in.  Never mind.  The shelving is up.  Now I simply have to figure out how to dismantle the floor shelving structure, poor as it is, and either unbolt or saw off the parts I need.  Well... then figure out how to attach those to the shelving mounts.

Still, I got so much more done already today than what I accomplished on the whole of yesterday, and before waking, or even breakfast!  I did get a few sips of coffee in while working.  That helps.  Hmm, breakfast, then some more work, then out for a hike.  Same path.  Not sure I expect as much today, but I'll do the same as before, the same as I will be doing from now on... one foot in front of the other, and so on, until I have gone a bit past my reserves, and then some more, and some more, until there is no more... then return.  And as at much of a pace as I can maintain.  I hope to make it as far as Monday, and more.  I just don't know.  Then again, I hear no thunder.  It is cloudy, it might well rain.  Those things I can handle.  Having bones shaken by thunder not a thousand, more like 600, yards above... sort of changes plans.

No, I did not lift last night.  If I want to try to keep up, I'll have to do that tonight.  Not sure I can keep up with the plans, but will aim for that.  Much of what I am doing in the cave is physical.  While drilling, keeping parts level, and... all that... doesn't seem physical, trying to get a 6'5" guy into a 4' by 2' area, bent and twisted, while using heavy drills, keeping balance, and having almost no wiggle room or space to even adjust the feet, or trying to check a level that is jerryrigged to start and precariously so, over and over, is a workout.  I think the hard part is finished.  If I have to do any cutting, I will grab the grinder, go outside, and have at it with absolute abandon.  I'm tired of negotiating.  If need be, and I destroy things, I'll just figure something else out.  Damned crap anyway!

Hmm... after breakfast and a short break, I'll begin extricating the shelving.  If that goes smoothly, and I can figure out a mounting process, I'll then head for a hike, and perhaps any additional hardware I may need.  Always more, isn't there?  Always.  Thankfully, I planned on heading to town anyway.  I'm on it, Chief.  Wait!  I AM Chief.  Chief, brave, cook, cleaner, camp drunk, you name it.  A veritable one man disaster.  Yum!  Yeah, well, whatever.  I'm on it.  Later.

Nothing worked yesterday.

.
.
Pens became hundred pounders, saws wouldn't cut, hammers wouldn't nail, nails and screw bent or wouldn't bite, drills were all left handers.  Nothing, I mean nothing, worked.  And, yet, on I went.  All day, several times through the day, many times through the day, I tried this, and that, and the next thing.  Nothing worked, nothing at all.  I didn't quit until I was so exhausted from it all that there wasn't a choice.  Now, I did try to back off and restart, after battering myself for hours to no good use.  I tried every trick I know.  Some days, however, for whatever reason, the square peg becomes round but still looks square, and what is up is down.  It is going to happen.  To say I was frustrated would be a grave understatement.  Still, I did what I could, if that wasn't much.  I expended twice the energy of any day in the last two weeks, and I might say last three months, in one day... if to no serious step forward.  Now, that is fine.  It's going to happen.  I think, just trying, was my work.  Not giving up was the success.  Sometimes that's it.

Today I start over.  The hacksaw wouldn't cut this metal.  The angle grinder would, but...  Pro tip, don't try to angle grind in the house.  Hey, it was the first time I had personally used such a device.  No burning, no foul... live and learn... hush it.  Archy sparky, if you don't know.  I had forgotten that I bought steel cutting blades for the saws-all.  Yeah, I'll get that piece cut.  I have pilot holes drilled for the shelving brackets.  I now have wood screws for those brackets.  The 18v drill is charged, since the heavy duty drill is too much for that, I think.  With either the angle grinder (if outside only), and the sawsall if it will do it and inside, I should be able to cut out any of the shelving necessary.  If I can get the shelving torn down and put back up, vacuuming and steam cleaning shouldn't be an issue.  I simply got hung up on that, hard.  Would not relent, could not seem to win.  Good spiritual exercise, if I was to guess... and I do.

Did I mention that it has been cloudy, raining, and cool for the last two weeks?  I have been pushing right through having no sun.  I mean, if I had to guess (and, again, I do) highs in the 40's-50's, and some days not even a hint of sun?  No complaints, we really need the water.  Some suggest Cali's drought is weather planners avoiding that to keep radioactivity out of the area.  Not sure I'm buying, though I have suspected, for decades, that they have figured out how to... grease weather's palm.  Not full blown control, and learning that doing this here will effect that there, so having to build a template, and choose winners and live with loosers... just a best guess, but...  Anyway, not sure, so not sure rain is good.  Is anyone testing it?  I don't even know that.  Paranoid much?  Who, honestly, isn't.  It's merely a matter of how large or small your circle of concern...  Oh, the little sweet debutante suggest... not lil' ol' her?  Oh, suggests I?  Where was your bf last night?  *shudders*  Yeah, shush it, sister.  I know what you fear.  I used to bottle it.  *wink*  And don't even look at me funny, happily married mother.  Even if your husband and you have checked his impulses, your children, home, finances, and the whole of reality weigh you down like an anchor, making just getting up, some days, a beast.  We all have our... concerns.

Still in a bit of a snit.  No one likes to pour that much juice into the canner and have it go bad.  But today is a new day.  And I'm still putting yesterday in the win category.  A sucky win, but it goes to heart, it goes to push and pull, it goes to not surrender to high emotion.  Nothing was shattered, no tools or equipment or people where destroyed out of sheer rage, I even tried to play nice, mostly... or civil I should say.  And I kept at it, even changing things up to look for another way, many different ways.  Anyway, today is... well... not yesterday.

Yeah, shelving, then vacuuming, then moving and more vacuuming, then figuring out how I want it for steam cleaning and then that.  Oh... and having the plastic rug runners ready to lay out.  A hike, medicines, coffee as that should be ready, some eggs and grapes or cherries.  A new day, another chance, all good.  Not sure what else.  I would like to get going a bit more quickly today, but that's one of those things that is only partially in my hands.  I really still am mostly dead.  I'm just being bullheaded through it lately.  I've got reasons to be, and those reasons probably won't change in my lifetime.  Not now that I see them.  Later.

Nothing is working today.

.

I decided to stick with just buying blades, and a few minor other things, today.  When I go for the boat cover materials, I'll do that all by itself.  I have drawn out plans, so I have an idea about joints and lengths, though I still need to measure the distance between d-rings and figure some minor things out that way.  I made it to town, a bit later than I had hoped but there isn't a race about that.  I found blades for a number of things, but no wood blades for the hacksaw and no wood cutting rounds for the angle grinder.  Oh well.  I'll check amazon for the bowsaw blades, might not be anything for the angle grinder and good?  Don't know quite yet, but didn't sound promising.

I gave up searching for the larger level.  The smaller worked, with a little improve.  I bought longer screws, but they were Kreg, and pretty much useless potmetal, or just piss poor for whatever reason.  I suppose I might have wood screws around that might work.  I'll have to see.  I'm charging one of the batteries for the cordless drill, to see if that is pansy enough for the Kregs.  If not, I'll check my selection of wood screws, and make due with those.  Bleh.

The lawn is getting mowed.  The lad who does it stopped by to check if it would be good.  He has this and another job this summer.  It sucks to work young, but money is money.  Having a little stashed away for when the world drops out from under you is a good plan.  Hopefully he will find a trade, and get into that rather than waste money on college.  A few years of work, if he decides to go for a lazy job and college, if he goes into the right degree rout that is, will have him ready to focus and learn.  Going straight to college is foolishness.  With a 15% delinquency on student loans, don't even suggest that it's just in my opinion.  What is 15% on a trillion dollars, by the way?  Yeah, and that is the commonly used number, from years ago.  Ten to one that hasn't improved, or even stayed the same.

Yeah, gonna just tinker until the battery is charged, to see if that drill does any better.  Oh, that mean... comes and goes.  But it's arriving more, staying longer.  It's just the way of it when I brush off the civil.  Nothing but wires, bone, teeth, and gnarliness.  It'll do.  It won't be getting better.  On that note, I finally ended my contract with the gym.  Tired of getting my gas stolen and paying for nothing.  Later.

Hmm... I'm sort of about to get to it again.

.
.
Beaten up, but that's the way it goes.  I found my saws-all, and it did have a metal cutting blade.  Either those are worthless, I was using it incorrectly, or the metal was a bit more than what it seemed.  While I was able to make the cuts, the blade is toast.  And I had to use it broken in order to finish.  Hey, half a blade is better than... well... maybe not.  But I got the job done without losing a finger, eye, or gaining a scar for my collection.  I'm going to attempt to put up the shelving when I am done.  I will still be going to town to get blades for several of my devices.  I'll skip metal saws-all blades.  The angle grinder and hacksaw will work.  Was not impressed with the saws-all.  Oh, it's a good one.  Just not good at this sort of work.  I guess?

Just more fuzzy math.

While taking a short break, which I deserve because I never really woke up and started working anyway so hush, I was thinking about the numbers for my blog.

Officially, so far this month, I have had 1,050 pageviews.  No, not impressive, trust me.  Just follow along class.  Now, I have had two people comment.  Officially, I have had five sources of visitors.  So, officially, each of those five visitors have visited 210 pages in the last (I count it as 19) 19 days, so ~11 pageviews per day each.  Which strain credulity, but... fine.  Now, neither of the two who commented showed up as having visited.  About a quarter to a third of my visitors are of a foreign nature... Russia is in the lead by a large number, then I have weekly visitors from... many of the more common nations... Franch, Spain, Germany... you know.  Once in a very rare moment I see something from the Middle East, where US troops are stationed.  I am sure .mil has banned me by now, but there is a way through if you know how to tickle, or have the keys... or are... somewhat independent.  Just... odd.  Some of my notions show up in the oddest places though.  Some of the things are nearly verbatim.  Others are... close enough to recognize.  My stuff is odd enough that it is noticed.

I rarely bother with heavy lifting.  I see something, I merely point it out and move on.  Others are into doing the calc, stats, probability, tying the links, making the case.  And they do.  Not on everything I write, but...  I first thought the notion of being read at all, beyond what I thought, was simply nonsense.  Then I started seeing signs, and then proof... enough for me to become a believer, that I was locally read.  But I keep bumping into signs suggesting that it is larger than even that.  I didn't say I was in agreement, or agreed with.  But, sometimes, when for those who seek find, do the work and it matches, I think I am having some small influence out there, in the real world.  Still somewhat agnostic about that, but it's... starting to make me wonder... what I am seeing.

I do know, because of what and how I write, those who visit keep a very low profile.  I can't track them with anything I have tried.  I am beginning to think some of my stuff is sent to a dark feed, and consumed offgrid.  Yeah, I don't know tech, but I do know some things.  What is tech today was flesh not long ago, and thoughts before even flesh.  Don't worry about what that means, other than that the more things change, the more they stay the same.  Besides, I do see in the dark, I just don't always wish to believe what I am seeing.  I'll keep looking for the evidence.  It's out there, one way or the other.  Just like this blog... seems like digital letters and numbers collated into ideas.  It's not.  It's an impression of a being the likes of which most don't believe exist, possibly, but want to, maybe.  If you can put the dots together, you see... much more than words, thoughts, faith... you see Doom, or War if you wish.  It's... always as you wish, little ones.

You kids crack me up.  Later.

Today already?

Man, I burned out yesterday.  After that last post, I went to find something to cut the shelving lattice so as to put up shelving.  I have a circular saw (too big, but if I had the blade I would have used it), an angle grinder, several hacksaws, and a dremel.  The only one for which I had a blade for light metal work, after much searching, before and after a realization, was the angle grinder.  So, I get out the blade, attempt to fit it.  Yeah, okay, that wasn't going to work.  Wrong size.  Damned merchants packaged it, and I didn't check right away.  More search and... nothing.  Can't even find wood blades for the hacksaw!  So, first thing, urhm... after I wake... I'll go to town and buy some blades.  Actually, I'll be buying blades for all of my tools, of each kind... wood rough and finish, and then light metal.  Bleh.

After two hours of rummaging through every drawer, cabinet, and container that might contain blades of various sorts, I was done.  So, I took my medicine and went to bed.  I have no idea what time that was.  And two hours is a guess on the search time... might have been forty five minutes, might have been three hours.  Time gets wonky as I head into oblivion.  At least I remembered to take my medicine.  Oh, something else to not, when I push it, even now after the weekend off, I begin coughing lungs up again.  I suspect I am just going to have to push through that.  As I said, I don't quit or even slow down when that begins.  I've got things to do.  I crashed because I hit three, maybe four walls depending on how you count things, all at once, and was too tired to aim at another wall.  All good.

Yes, blades, first thing.  Then on to getting the shelving up, ripping out the old floor shelf that I'll be dismantling for my needs and removing it, then to doing any final work in the living room before vacuuming, then steam cleaning what I can.  Hmm, since the stores don't open until 10:00, I'll find the clear plastic runners so as to have a way to walk around the living room without messing with the carpet until it dries.

Dang it!  I forgot about the saws-all.  It might have a blade for light metals!  Gah!  Still, I want to have blades for each device, so I'll be going in anyway.  I'll check the saws-all and see if there is a blade.  I might be able to get the bracket mount cut and fitted before going to town.  Oh, and... no... I didn't hit the bench last night.  That's on my list for today.  I also want to sweep the kitchen and side areas again.  While I was at the hardware store, I some some inexpensive dirt/dust trap door mats and bought three.  Two for in back, in a row, as that is the main door I use, but one for the front door.  It might help, probably won't hurt, but was cheap enough (~$10 for all three) that a total loss was worth the risk.

Ugh.  I am sore today.  I know I pushed.  As mild as what I am doing is, it is hell for me.  While vitals don't seem to be improving, strength, speed, and stamina improvements, for now, trump all that.  And, being exhausted, but still functioning, much of the time, also goes to show, in the positive.  If I don't die, and can keep even the pace I am on, two years will see me fit to survive, if I still won't be able to control my schedule well enough to work... not a regular job, not even an irregular one.  But... survival... that I will be able to achieve.  Yeah, I know my limits.  On the good side, even if they decide to cut me off, I will be able to survive away from mankind.

Woot! They are on the way!

.
.
It took a while.  And I didn't pester her.  I knew she was a busy lass.  She emailed me today, to let me know that they are completed, and in the mail.  Oh, what?  My shirts, silly!
I ordered two.  If she is true to actual measured size, one should fit.  Though I am not sure if these types of shirts are made loose on purpose, by design, or not.  I don't like them too loose, not my gig.  I figure, if one doesn't fit, I can sell it.  I'll just have to see.  No, I won't sell for more, just look for a guy who wants one at price, and shipping.  All good.  Though, if they both mostly fit, I'll keep them, use whichever works for whatever I am doing.  Excited!  Wear it in the next time I buy java.  I know they'll love it!

The hike.

.
.
Good, bad, ugly.  All three in it.  The bad is that I was only on the trail for about an half hour.  I had hoped to do a two hour run today.  It wasn't the rain, or wind, both of which came and went though lightly.  It was when I got to a point, and right above my head, not a thousand feet, thunder clapped loudly enough for me to... well... take notice.  All I could think was... I AM awake now... if I hadn't been before?  Well, there is awake and then there is AWAKE.  Yeah, so, I called it and headed back.  Actually, that is the ugly and the bad.  The good?  The first time I did that path, I made it, barely, half to three quarters the distance I made it today.  The second time on the path I nearly made it the same distance, only stopping to rest in the shaded area.  It was rather sunny that last time.  What is good about that?  Well, both of those hikes took between an hour and an half and two hours.  This time I made the distance in about fifteen minutes.  No sit breaks, though I stopped for water twice on the way up and then when I got there, none on the way back.  It took about ten minutes to return.  I probably spend a minute at my stop point.  I figure it is probably a mile up and back, a two mile hike is what I did.

Yes, I know that is still gimp.  It is what I have, where I am, what I am starting with.  I can't change that.  But the improvement is... remarkable.  Yes, there is a mild incline up.  Not huge, but sometimes a bit of a hump.  And, yes, I had my pack and water with me.  So, it is all apples to apples.  It was much cooler, being overcast and slightly wet.  That might be a part of it, but certainly not all of it.  Yeah, I am improving.  I have a very long way to go.  One step at a time.  I am hoping, by this fall, to begin 50 yard windsprints.  If I can keep some of it going, by spring doing 100 yard sprints.  I won't ever do the 440, definitely not the 880 again, but shorter sprints I might be able to do.  A set of ten, and that will be that.  Timed, so I can see if I am improving.  But... not yet.  Fall, maybe.

Oh, I won't be taking the Christmas lights down today.  Too wet, with an outlook of more wet at any moment.  But I will dig back into the living room, at least a bit.  I did buy some bits that might allow me to create a shelf.  I'd like to do that first thing.  If it works out, I can remove the junk floor-based shelving, or the rest of it, and then move everything for vacuuming.  I am still hoping to lift weights tonight, though no promises.  When I finish up, a shower would be good, maybe a bath too if I can work that in.  That would allow me to just tinker tomorrow.

I am actually starting to feel like doing something, if my body is now starting to want to find an good point to wrap things up.  You know how it goes.  I'll see what else I can do.  I didn't take a nap, so wouldn't mind doing that if need be, and then just working whenever I get back up.  My friend called.  I told him I'd be in town about 16:00, if he wanted to get out.  He did.  But when I called him, after finishing early for the above reasons, he was already out.  All good, one to three fewer thing for me to do.  Well... back to it.  Nah, a bit of a break, and something cold to drink.  Ugh.

Moving right along.

.
.
I honestly thought just sorting was going to take the whole day.  It wasn't as bad as I thought, once I put to it.  Oh, no mistakes, the work ate my morning.  And it isn't done.  I'll be dusting and sorting when I decide where to put the stuff, eventually.  I cleared all surfaces, save the television stuff.  Hmm, doubt if my mother will ever be out here again, so I can probably just take the cable box back.  It's only $5 a month, or so they say, never have looked to see if there are additional taxes, fees, and all else.  In any case, one of these next times I am in town I will return it.  But, for now, the bluray and game console will stay.  When I finish cleaning in there, I will probably try to work out how to put in wall-mounted shelves to keep what is staying off the floor, and easier to dust.  I only need one shelf, but two would be nice... just in case.  At eye level, it might even get dusted from time to time.

I have moved everything but the television related shelf out of the room, that can be moved.  I could figure out how to get the couch and loveseat out, but I think I'll skip it.  Strength and coordination aren't the problems, it is more that I have nowhere to put them, certainly not for the several days it will take to dry  Pus, I don't actually have to lose the room completely if I keep them there, just move them out far enough from the walls that I can vacuum and steam clean behind them, then when I put them back just have a small strip where they had been setting to finish.  Hmm...  I would vacuum, but I might be tinkering with the entertainment shelving, lifting some, removing the rest.  I'll take a look, see if I can just get brackets, and go that way... buying anything on need while in town for the hike.  No other shopping today, so might as well.  I might have to drill some holes in the shelving frames, if they can be extricated otherwise, but that's not a problem.  Even if they technically aren't separable, I do have a saws-all.  Might as well get it right while I am at it.

I had fewer work sessions, but they were longer.  All good, as long as I am really hitting it.  I really have no idea how long everything will take.  And I want to take down the last of the Christmas lights, and lift weights yet this evening.  It is going well enough, time will just take care of itself.  I still don't feel like working, definitely not hiking, but that's just the way it goes.  I'm going.  Just going to get my pack and pants on, a hat just in case that sneaky bastard of a sun comes out, a rain coat if the weather does what it looks to be getting ready to do... oh, and I'll look at the shelving, and check the studs in several places, then take off.  Later.

I hate this first part.

.
.
After about 9:30, I got to it.  Clearing the plane spaces, sorting, tossing.  It seems easy, and muscle energy wise, it is.  It isn't my area though, and so is exhausting.  Books here, old receipts in the trash, papers to be looked through there, figuring out what goes where, and where works best for what.  It's almost a purely intellectual exercise, a particular type that I hate.  I hate it when it comes to my stuff anyway.  I love to look for patterns and then flesh those out, work them into their natural way, and enhance them along natural lines.  Just not with my stuff, or in this sort of way... whatever that means.

Books, CD's, games, movies, mementos too keep or throw and going through the memories from some of them.  I have cleared off all but two areas.  And, yes, tossed or put what was removed into medium storage boxes.  No organizing within those.  Even the tools I took back to the tool area are just on top of the tool boxes themselves.  I won't double down on organization until I clear the area, clean it, and maybe while putting things back or away somewhere else.  Doubling down, in this area, just won't work.  I am hoping to have everything sorted to be heading out by 13:30.  It's overcast, could rain or clear off, for all I know.  No matter, the goal is to be out.

I honestly don't feel like working today.  My mojo is gone.  I have been left cold, deserted, weak, and feeling foolish for having promised.  That also doesn't matter.  I will continue anyway.  I don't know how fast or far, but I will do what I proposed, and might even add weight lifting.  It's not about doing what I like, when I want, it's about getting the f'ing job done.  Dragging ass just means it'll take longer, or I'll have to stew in failure.  Get it DONE.  And, so, I will.  And with all due speed, plus, plus, and maybe some more.  I don't have to like it.  If I vomit in my mouth, I still have some energy and time.  This isn't play time, it's the beginning of go time.

I'll skip a nap and shower, no time.  But I won't be stopping anywhere, save maybe for a roast beef sandwich and tea, after the hike.  Hey, carrots and whips, you know.  And it does work.  Hmm, maybe a small bowl of cherries right before starting in again.  Oh, I find that adding dairy to my coffee has been, at least at this point, a partial cause of my coughing.  It creates too much more flem.  So, I'm going black only, not even any artificial sweetener.  My coughing has abated.  The want remains, but the need is gone.  Perhaps, after I have worked to a better physique, I can go back to cream.  Perhaps, at that point, I will be beyond it.  I, personally, like the added protein, vitamin d, and fats, administered this way.  At least I have backed off the itch to cough a bit.  My stomach muscles were becoming brutally sore.  Yeah, I'll do what it takes.  Can't quit coffee altogether.  Not now anyway.  Maybe in the future, but just not now.  Can't give it all up.

Good morning.

.
.
I need practice just going to bed.  I don't think it took too much longer to get to bed than planned.  But little things kept me going for a while.  I don't even remember what.  Now, I don't mind making sure little tasks are totally finished, or at least hitched for the night for an easy start when I get up.  Those are good things, both useful and they help in gearing down at times.  What I need to learn to avoid is little task just on their own.  Though they can be useful if there is still energy that needs to go, or to give a sense that life is just a bit more sound, or other things.  But they can also lead to insomnia if I am not careful.  I'm not always sure if such are a symptom, or a cause, though I suspect they can be a bit of both.  All I am saying is that I need to watch those things, check mate them if they are becoming a bother.

As I said, I got to bed early enough anyway.  I slept quite well.  Some very hard dark dream, and a couple of pleasant dreams, as you might see them.  I need the dark with the light, bittersweet being my norm.  I am trying to give up vivid dreaming.  It's just not something that, at this point, is necessary.  I did it for a very long time, but in order to fix something I was told was broken.  I have come to realized I was told lies.  Those dreams simply are real, memories.  They can't be changed, at least.  The most I could do was look around in those dreams a bit more, find details.  I never have been able to change the nature or outcome in them.  I... prefer the lies.  Nor have I been able to find proof in them.  Then again, many who told those lies believed them, or, like me, really wanted to believe the lies.  No evidence, on paper.  Not that they are my truths, perhaps there is still other ways out of them.  But not this way.  I am not sure it is that easy to give that up, but non-conscious use has helped.

Breakfast, already.  Coffee is brewing.  I already cleaned up from breakfast, and while grinding coffee, since the counter is clean, cleaned up a small spill of grinds and a few coffee drips from recent days.  Keeping up on the small stuff is part of the goal, making the bigger cleaning much easier when that is due.  Fewer layers to dig down through.  In a way, it might be less efficient.  Save that when the job gets to a certain point, it can be almost overwhelming, just figuring out where to start become a trick otherwise.  Well, and it is really good to live in a neat and clean environment.  Medicine have been taken, and have been right on track as well.  Oh, I will continue with what I have until it is gone, regarding supplements.  Some of it will not be coming back.  I really haven't had any noticeable improvement from any of it.  Oh, sure, the old ones will stay, and daily vitamins.  As to the over-the-counter heart medicine, I bought enough to last a while, and one of them is at a lower dose and I have more at a higher dose, so I will continue with those.  If no real improvement occurs on the supplemental heart stuff, I will quit those when I am out.  I may check my bp this morning, or not.  Thinking on it though.  Oh, and I am hoping to get the last of the Christmas lights down today as well.  I'll feel better with that completed.

Today is all things living room.  Mostly a soft start, just boxing books, tossing junk, dusting and cleaning surfaces as I go. If I get through that quickly enough, on to moving furniture and vacuuming.  I am hoping to wake quickly enough to push for a nap then hike, or just on to a hike, if I can, this afternoon.  Hopefully it stays cloudy, I don't mind the rain either.  I just don't care much for the heat.  Heat will always make getting out a struggle.  If I can knock out both a good two hour, at least, hike, plus do weights, then tomorrow will be even lighter.  Still a work day, but just that.  That is why I would like to push for both types of exercise in one day... gives me more of a rest between.  Or a chance to add in a bit more, if say I get enough done tomorrow, to throw a little hike in there.  Perhaps around the lake at the lower dam, or around the lake north of town, or along the bank of the river to the south... just to see what is out there, and get some air, you know?

It's going well.  I'll make it through for a good while, I think.  The right foods, medicines on target, exercise going forward, the cave getting put in order, and then being worked on and cleared of excesses, while gear is being purchased and organized.  Plus, I am learning and practicing new things, from braiding my own hair, to minifacturing items, to... who knows.  I'm still gimping it, but I am on the path that will lead to the dirt road, which will even lead, eventually, to the super highway leading to where I need to be.  The clock is, once again, ticking.  But first, today, I have to wake.

Sunday, May 17, 2015

Yeah, no, got it.

.
.
I have done everything, including rebagging the trash cans, except laundry.  I'll do that as I go in to sleep.  Yes, even the french braid.  I can't be sure, but I think I might actually have that braid down?  I just can't be sure.  I'll keep at it, then have them give me a pass fail at the salon, if a fail, I work on it.  Oh, and I had a couple of small sprigs of grapes, as a treat.  Sprigs?  Who knows, too tired to look it up.  If I get out hiking tomorrow, I'll even bring the bins back either when I head out or when I return.  Probably.  I'm terrible about those, some weeks.

There is just one song that kept flashing.  All day, for a while now actually.  Yes, before anything over at playpen game page.  Just a... sense, a feel, maybe even a slight hunger or thirst.  Yum!

Bedtime?

.
.
Yeah, you know.  I think I am done for the day.  Hmm, well, after I take trash and recycling out.  I'm not going to bother loading it all up.  What I have in the bags, and bins, will go.  And I will put up the laundry.  A few shirts to hang, a few folded items to store away.  Then bed.  I doubt if I will sleep all that long, perhaps six, though maybe eight hours.  I am rested, I should be able to remember sleep and wake-up times.  No guarantees on anything, I'm already beyond the rule book for nearly dead people.  Still, the odds improve when rested.  I think I am ready for tomorrow.  Oh, right... I might tinker with french braiding before I crash.  All those little things, you know.  But... it is scheduled in, and a solid want.

If things work as I suspect, I will wake sometime rather early in the morning, get cracking on the living room, two or three sessions and rest periods, then a nap.  Hopefully a nap that will end in time to see me hiking.  If I miss that, I will hit the weights.  But I really want to hike.  And, if I do, I may still hit the weights.  I won't be raising the weight on the curl bar, probably, until the end of the week... maybe.  Never can be sure, then again the curl bar is starting to feel too light.  Tuesday will be lighter duty.  An half dozen work periods, rests, and a nap if need be.  But I'd also like to hit the stick anchor.  Well, and keep up on food and dishes.  Try boiled eggs and grain mixes... it really does make putting solid food easier for a regular thing.  Which reminds me, I finally washed and rinsed the grapes and cherries, I best put them up.  That's my fruit for this week.

Wednesday, if I have everything, I am really hoping to get the kayak out and see what I can do.  I am not counting on a great deal of really good exercise.  Simply, learning to control the boat is going to eat into those profits.  On the good side, getting coordinated as to rowing, control, and such, can be more exhausting that actually swinging a paddle or whatever once you get it all down.  Those baby steps are sometimes worse than a full balanced stride, as to energy drain.  I am hoping to find out.  I'm not sure how cold the water is, so am not really sure how to dress.  Hmm, but I'll be taking some extra clothes, in the smaller drybag I already have.  It doesn't fit a spare pair of boots though, which is why I ordered a larger one.  Still, I won't need spare boots, I can keep dry in the Xterra for when I get back.

Yeah, I am ready to hit it again.  Lungs are still ticklish, but I think they will be for a long time, until I blow the carbs out.  Harder, I hope, than last week, if in a better condition to do so.  Good night.

It's working.

.
.
Pacing.  Even on days off.  I suppose it's like trickle feeding batteries so that they don't die.  Even on days off, I have to get up and do, from time to time.  I don't want to hit the batteries with with a stupid charger, nor can I let them sit untended.  Dishes, there were more than I remembered.  I had added some in, and forgotten.  More to clean the kitchen a bit more than because they were actually dirty.  Laundry will be finished soon.  Trash and recycling are pretty much ready to go.  I won't get to the stick anchor today though.  It just isn't fitting with the pace.

I just realized, the french braid lesson is coming up.  I think I have four days.  So, I won't be practicing that up to perfection, but I might be able to get a session, or two, per day, until the lesson.  For me, I really need to work on tracking the strands, and which side to pull extra hair from and then were to put that.  I can do a basic braid in seconds now.  But this is just a bit more complicated.  Once I get it down, I will have it very well.  I was surprised I was able to get the regular braid down.  This is just a bit trickier, but not much.  I just have to focus.  I might be able to get it down, but...

Oh, right.  I didn't bother with measuring blood pressure today.  I didn't want to be disappointed.  I did, however, want to test strength.  It's a subjective manner, but to me a sure one.  Swords.  I have a 46" katana.  Yes, functional.  No, not a hand made one, crafted by a monk after forty days under a waterfall, meditating.  Anyway, when I first bought it, I realized it was a tad out of my ability.  Decent for two handing, barely.  And it could be used in a single hand, but was so very slow.  Well, even at the place I am now, I can use it in my right hand with slightly clumsy ease, and both hands absolutely splendidly.  I considered the weight I have on the bench now, and my goal.  My guess at 1/8the the way is about right.  When I am half way, I will be able to use this sword with either hand as if using a dagger.  So, while no measurements seem to be improving, my raw strength is.  No, I don't have the strength, currently, to use this weapon artistically... Just a sharp baseball bat really.  But that, too, will come.  Trust ol' Doomster, he really does know how to play not nice... with or without tools, but with more tools than you might imagine.

I know some may be confused about my considerations regarding finding a woman.  Yes, that is still on a sort of track.  It has simply become a bit more complicated.  I won't go into more detail, I will only suggest that I will still make the effort.  I may, indeed, be delusional about the whole thing.  I may have misread what I thought I saw.  In either case, the rules have changed.  She may have to rethink the whole thing, if I saw right.  Then again, I am not sure that will stop her.  Some snagglepusses don't scare off easy, not if they... like something enough.  Probably delusional, but I'll find out soon enough.

I remembered, from a recent dream and some memories after, about several women who didn't think I was good enough.  I warned each, that if they didn't decide in time, I would have improved beyond their interest to me.  I told each, I was about to improve, increase, manifest, but that I would not wait.  And once I hit the max, they would no longer be in my league.  Two chose otherwise, and later let me know that they greatly regretted their choice.  One went along, until another sticking point came up and I went on.  Even so, she was pleased to have chosen even the short ride.  This time, it's for real, and always.  Same deal though.  I don't really have regrets that way.  I can only ask, offer.  All deals are a limited time production, subject to my interest and the time I can afford to mess with such things.  Still, I may give this one about a year to really think things over, maybe two.  If she is interested, that is.  I won't sweat it either way.  It's just not how I roll.

Later.

Pushing and pulling.

.
.
Why push?  To get ahead.  It doesn't matter if you are doing it for intellectual, spiritual, or physical reasons... specific short or long term goals... or for no given reason.  I have my reasons.  And this push hasn't been light or easy.  Some, however, are confused.  They think the pushing is making me grumpy, hard, turning me into a bastard, hard nut, or such.  No, it isn't the pushing.  It never was.  That is merely what happens when I reach, as in this case, my local maximums.  I peel off the soft and fuzzy, and what lies underneath is hard, with damned high expectations for not just myself but everyone around me.  I then begin not to care about what hurts on you or me, about how or why a failure occurred, only fixing it, and right.  Pull any weapon out of it's sheath, and shit just changes.

As lame as my work has been, it has laid bare the blade that I truly am.  It will cause fear, just as so, in some.  It will call others closer, for various reasons.  This shine will not wax unless I fall hard or quit my pursuit.  Truth be told, I am only an eight uncovered and I am already causing people to sputter and fuss.  I could tell them to fuck off, and to some extent have.  But, yeah, at least at this stage, I can see it.  Simply understand, Doom is coming back.  When full blown, as I have mentioned, you will hate me, more so if you love me.  I'm not your pansy mom or dad or favored grandpa or therapist, I will not shy from just saying it, I'm all about business.  Good, bad, ugly... do your damn job and keep the whimpering to a minimum, or better, just go away.  I know you probably can't cut it.  And I won't handhold through the hard shit.  Further, you will either survive, or most likely not.
