While I have been ramping up physical activity, cleaning, food, and those other things I suggested, I haven't dropped the ball on other start-ups and regular dailies.  I still do daily sudoku, and I read nearly daily... usually several little bits of time while resting.  I am not reading at a record pace, but the equivalent of a short story a day, sometimes a bit more.  I have plans to add a bit more into my regimen.  Lessons for this or that.  Topics I have mastered at some point or other, then up through my highest achievements perhaps, then maybe on into areas I don't know in new or old fields.  Well, that is the plan.  Sort of like windsprints, those aren't for tomorrow, or next week.  Fall, winter, next spring, can't be sure.  And no promises.

Oh, and I am probably returning the gps.  The base maps on it are all but useless.  I can't even be sure the thing works right.  Advanced maps, from what I am hearing, are great.  The problem is they are expensive.  Plus, you have to update them, probably yearly.  The road maps for the US are... mostly... reasonable.  And they are for the complete US.  The river and lake maps, however, are only good on the scale of 1/2 to 1/3 of a state, at about $160 per scale.  I wonder if bigger states, such as Alaska and Texas have even more regions.  Probably.  You don't get much for all that, not enough.  And, that doesn't include "outdoor" maps (topographic).  Those are another $60-$90, and only cover a few states, while not being easy to use on the trail... or even all that accurate some suggest.  So, for water, road, and trail, just for this state, I'm looking at $160 x 2 or 3 -river/lake, plus $130-roads US, plus (say) $70-topo... $480 + $130 + $70 = $680... for one year.  I don't know how much updates are.  I just know that maps are beyond my reach up front.  I wonder if the government is even getting a kickback, or just politicians, for Garmin using USGS satellite data for their products?  Yeah, the gps is going back.

I still haven't gotten to breakfast yet.  But then I put in a good show before I woke.  A price must be paid, here, there, now, or later.  I'll get to that, see about printing a return label and getting that back in the box and returned, and then head to town a bit after all that.  Later.
