Have you ever thought about really traveling? If you have looked at, priced, and considered RV's, you will find many problems. Start to stop. There is no lemon law for those. I haven't bothered pricing them, if I suspect they cost, probably starting, at about $150,000, baseline, give or take. Yeah, more than my home. If I wished to make simple home payments I actually could probably "buy" one. Maybe not, they might require a lot more of a down payment? The thing is, I wouldn't buy one. Manufacturers consider such a vehicle to be normal if it is in the shop eleven out of twelve months. Huh? Yeah. Not that they all are, only that if yours is the one, you are just out. I am not sure about preconfigured camping vans and various sorts of vehicles. My guess is they are considered the same as RVs, with no real guarantees. As well, some of the better ones don't cost all that much less, starting in the $100k range and easily going up. Not to my liking.
There are, possibly, options. Buying a commercial van, for example. Perhaps arranging for it to be upkitted to 4x4 drive, then doing a bunch of work on your own. Adding a water tank, perhaps a pump, a solar system, a bed, shelving, insulation, better flooring, connecting and entertainment center in, and much else. You could do it for less, over time, and know exactly what is in there and how it is connected. You could design the systems to work to your specs, to be added, removed, shifted, and such to your tastes and need. And all for a good deal less than buying even a prebuilt camper van, but with a warranty of a regular vehicle.
Oh, they don't just hand these out. And costs will add up. However, after a year or two or even five, of traveling, even part time, some of the van could be deconstructed, and the base system could easily be sold back into the market, having saved a great deal on lodging. The ten miles per gallon would hit you. Though if you simply traveled, say, a tank of gas a week, or even every other week, you would be good. Yeah, watch your p's and q's and you could really have some fun out there. Not something for everyone, just a thought.
I wonder and sometimes worry. Herein lie those ponderings with perhaps some editing but still in their truer forms. Whisper as well, though in truth, whispers are just that, rustlings in the wind and nothing more. It is kind to not be alone with one's own whispers.

Oh, right, another project.
.
.
This one has been discussed sine the first BM event. I just never have gotten to it. The idea was to create a shower room. A luxury in the desert, I must say. In a gifting event, much of what I have considered gifting just doesn't really mean much. MOOP waiting to happen. But a shower, for some, and a place to do that with some privacy, modesty, is quite a fine gift. It can't be taken with, but as many of the best gifts, it will be carried away without loss. Plus, I just like the idea, for a number of reasons. I like to build things, for one thing. Oh, what am I discussing? A hexayurt. Here is a rough examination of the process. Though I would have to get more detailed plans But this is a start.

Burning Man...
.
.
I've been reviewing materials concerning Burning Man of late. Then an email arrived inviting me to some sort of virgin review, urhm, for newcomers that is. I let my partner in burn know about it early this week, then sent a reminder last night again, just in case he had time and interest. There were a few things of note in the session. Most of it I had heard in other material. Yet it was interesting, and fun, to join in a bit early. What is Burning Man? I could say it is some sort of pagan festival in the deep desert of Nevada. I might say it is a human driven art expo, where people live the art. But really, I don't actually know. It is called an experience. As such, each individual, and each visit, would be different. Perhaps a video composition would help? I will know more when I return.
