Yes, but I'm going to give it another day. I worked until 1:00, and maybe change. I was right though. The next runs were very easy. I rinsed it twice, then ran the machine over it, dry two more times. Still a lot of work. That machine starts to weigh more each time, I swear. I will still need to vacuum when it is finally dry. At first I thought it was carpeting tufting. Not I think it's mostly cat and my hair that had just gotten pushed down. Though some of it is carpeting. The girls sharpen their claws on it, even if I attempt to suppress that behavior. They had a scratch post. When they are fussing betwixt one another, especially Sam, will tear into whatever carpeting is near... as a threat behavior.
I woke at around 10:00. Plus, minus, can't be sure. I know I looked, but memory was tenuous. I couldn't find the blood sugar tester, so just scrapped testing this morning. I was thirsty right now, and didn't want to fuss. I'll get the devices together and ready so that some morning, soon, I can do a vitals check. A bowl of peanuts, for breakfast. I watered and turned the alfalfa. I think today is the second day. Supposed to take three days. I have the jar angled slightly down, and into a ramekin to drain. Three or four times a day... a quick wet and drain, a bit of shuffling to get the sprouts to part a bit, then back to the slow drain. Tomorrow I will introduce them to some sun, as they finish, so as to green up a bit. Well... even if it doesn't work out, or whatever, it's a little side project to do.
Today? Yeah, like I said, at least another day to let the room dry, so I won't be putting things back, or vacuuming. Monday for that. And while I can't hit the kitchen as I would like, I can do some of that, and really hit the bathroom, I have decided. If I have extra, I might begin sorting in the bedroom. Oh, and maybe a hike. I'm not sure I can get out. I am running out of juice, pushing pretty hard. I'll think on it all as I wake.
Oh, I don't know if I mentioned, but I did attempt to get the french braid in at the shop. I was doing okay, but... sort of ran out of steam, then lost the middle strand, and just sort of stopped. She was impressed at what I had done though, so... a bit more practice, and not drinking a fifth at night, will see me to that in short order. I'll begin practicing again, daily, until I have that down, and then perfect it... mostly. Just a decent option for keeping my hair tucked back and out of the way.
Whatever else, I am ready for the weekend. Just a day to go and then I can rest. I need to practice just resting, relaxing. I'm not good at that. Even while I can't do much, my mind is often racing ahead. Even when I was completely down, my mind and will where trying to force their way out. My disability has been a miserable thing, I never learned to enjoy it, only ride it. On the good side, if I had ever surrendered, I would never have gotten to this place. Better to be miserable but with hope, then... hopelessly blissful? I think so.
