Coffee. I went to instant a while ago. Much easier to store, use. I have a month, maybe two, left. Before I remembered to check, it doubled in price. While... considering, in a day or two, it simply became unavailable. I have rationed to one shot of the stuff a day. When I get to the last jar, I will cut it to every other day.
I have enough tea to last four to six months? Hard to tell. Bits and parts of my plans fall. I will just go without as I run out. I won't chase excessively priced items. As with steak, and most meats, I have backed off... rare treats, very rare. Perhaps it might yet be available, or become available again. I have my doubts.
I can't be sure how long shortages will exist. In part that depends on how many people die. Though some of it is based on what remains of global markets, globalization, and the value of the dollar. None of those are looking good. The dollar has the best hope. But fiat based on debt is death to the economy sooner or later. And, truly, we aren't later, we are laterer.
Going without, one way or another, is the future. Down to a salad or two, a portion of packaged meat, a fatted coffee, and a fatted tea per day. I have a few packs of pasta left, but that isn't good for me, and there isn't much left. I wonder if that is still available at the stores?
Just... realizing what all is happening. Oh, and I am freezing. It isn't that cold. Couldn't get very warm last night either. All good. I'll make it through. Later.
