A bit underdone...

The roast.  But delicious.  And, since it will be sliced, then heated in the oven, a bit more cooking will go along with the reheating.  Now, I do love rawer beef, so no skin off my nose.  Just that, with chuck, it's a bit chewier when underdone.  And this was seriously underdone.

I browned it first.  Which fooled me, both the odor and look said it was a bit more done.  All good, as mentioned, for it was delicious.

The packages haven't arrived.  The one I had doubts about is actually listed as out for delivery.  But... that isn't a guarantee, of late.  Not a worry, for me, in any case.  I could see, if two packages are put on the trick, at different times, finding both could be a bit of a trick.  I'm not sure how they manage.  I think they just do the best they can do, and if they can't find both, quickly, just deliver what they can find and move on.  They have a pretty serious quota to deliver.  Like Santa, only every day?  :p

Yea, good food.  I've, pretty much, for my usual, feasted today!  Not as much kefir, but... the rest?  More food than I usually get in three days, really.  All fresh, on top of it.  Yes, the roast as well and the meat crumble is put packaged and refrigerated.  I might have another kefir.  I'm pushing it, but next week I will have three gallons of milk and can push fermenting and drinking kefir.

Not sure how I did it, but had a tiny bit of oil, while cooking, go up and over my glasses, and burn just a tiny bit of my eye... did it a few days ago.  One of the oddest things I have ever had happen, especially seeing that I fry at lower temps, usually.  They say the eye doesn't have nerve endings.  Whatever, but this hurt.  And still does, just a bit.  Very strange.

Still trying to stay awake, doing okay.  Would go to bed now, by feel and all.  But... trying to push through.  

Still getting a bunch of "prank" calls, every day.  Or just a few, lately.  Though was also getting women's names, and links.  Never clicked on the links, can guess what that was about.  No thank you.  Even if it was legal in this state, I'm not into hookers.  Gotta wonder how many women are hooking while waiting for their doctor, lawyer, or... prince?  No.  That and impossible rentals.  A three bed, two bath, with double garage, around here, for $465 or something?  No.  A two bed, one bath, in a nearby city goes for $1200.  And, a good credit report, probably first and last, maybe deposit.  Landlords aren't happy about being robbed, recently.  Maybe a cosigner, to the property.  Crazy.  My place might well rent for in the $1500 to $1700 range, cleaned, cleared, and slightly improved on.  Ugh.  My current mortgage is just slightly over that supposed rental offering.

Anyway... Oh... best let them know how much milk and cream.  I think three milks, and two creams.  Want to make kefir creme fraiche again, a quart of it.  I use it in the two weeks.  And, will be adding it to soups and stews, and trying some other things with it.  Especially if I can get the homemade mayo made.
