I got to town, and while shopping for this I also bought that and those. I got everything on my list alright. It turns out, however, that measuring a pipe isn't the same as... well the pipe size. I measured the pipe to be an inch, so I got fittings for a one inch pipe. Way too big. I am now, I hope, to assume that one inch actually means three quarters inch? Never mind. I have to be in town tomorrow to get my tux back and go to Ogden with my friend.
As I said, I saw and remembered a few other things while in town. Since my oil is made to be mixed with 2.5 gallons, and the tanks only (now, when did that happen) only come in 1, 2.5, and 5 gallons, to mix the oil properly I have to buy the 5 gallon and fill the 2.5 gallon jugs with gas, pour the mix in, and mix it in the 5 gallon container. Idiots. Why do they even sell 2.5 gallon oil mix then? Never mind. I also bought a new fixture, an overhead fluorescent lamp with four bulbs. I like more light rather than less. And two bulbs is simply too dim. As well, since my neighbor suggested it and I saw it on sale, I bought lawn seed, the good stuff.
Sure, it puts more on my plate, but... not really. All of these things were in the works. I either lost track, it was too early, I was watching my budget, I couldn't find the items in my usual places, or... something. Having the materials doesn't mean the job is done, only that there is a much better chance that the task will be completed. My mother might be a bit surprised when she visits. That is sort of the hope, if not the whole impetus. No, I just like running a tight ship and will do so if possible.
I think the neighbor mowed the lawn Saturday, while I was gone. Though he was going to mow on Wednesday because it was supposed to be dry, and then rain Saturday, it ended up doing just the opposite. Spring weather, actually all weather, is difficult to predict. Well, if I am correct and he did mow. Of course, if he did, then sooner rather than later I will need to mow my part.
That I am even tracking what I am, and trying to do what I am gearing up to do, I must be doing a whole lot better. Even with it being partly cloudy I have been shoving on through. I suppose if it clouds up and just dumps, or hides the sun, for the whole of the day, I might end up crashing again. And, that will happen sooner or later anyway. I just want to get as much done as possible, as quickly yet reasonably as possible, before I take another near-dirt nap.
Well... that's all folks!
