With the plumbing work on hold until I get the correct fittings, I decided to figure out the lighting situation in the laundry room. First, none of the switches turns off the electricity to that light, none in the main box. So I began to explore my home for a second box. None could be found in normal spaces. Would they have a fuse box in the attic? Behind a wall? While I was looking I found out that the main gas water heater... is electric. Nothing written can be believed, I guess.
Until I find that second fuse box, and being dark I won't be climbing a ladder and the roof to check the attic space which might house it, I am done with that job. It's a bit frustrating when nothing works, measurements mean little, and everything you are told, in legal contracts, is wrong or at least suspect. Home sales, and not just in Utah, seem more like used car sales. Live and learn, I suppose. Everyone involved is either just trying to pinch their legally mandated fees or make the sale. None of them do their damn job. That's, on this topic, all I am saying there.
Ah well, it was supposed to be a day of rest anyway. I'll finish out my day goofing. More because there is little else I can do. My mother called yesterday and this morning, right before I woke. I would have answered this morning but my phone was in my vehicle. Last evening I couldn't answer as I was at dinner (and I don't take my phone in with me, unlike many, if I remember to leave it (or further, if I find I have it and can't retreat to put it up I shut it off)). Anyway, she flew through the storms in Oklahoma! And on a rather small jet. She is not a fan of flying to start with so she was more than happy to have landed. Sounds fun to me, but... I've always liked the edge. It quickens.
Good night.
