She is up. It looks like foam scooped me. I meant to go over and razz her, being that at 1:30 it was technically Friday and she had said she would be up by Friday. No jazzing allowed. It looks like fun. I've got a few percolating, from the time I knew the theme actually. Just... still... a bit slow. Here is where you may go for the contest.
----------update interrupt----------
For whom the bell... yada yada...
It was time, his Doom.
It was time, his Doom.
He tried to sweep me aside.
Instead, he ate broom.
----------------
Clitter, clatter, clash,
sing. Love is in the midnight-
Did not see that coming.
----------------
She was serious!
He pulled his hair, right!
He pulled his hair, right!
She said yes, She said no, right!
Yes, no, same question?
----------------
Momma Doom?
Frail, aging, tired, sore.
Mom arrives to her new name.
Momma de Doom, EEK!
---------------
She doesn't think so.
I laugh, she meowed.
I laugh, she meowed.
I grinned, she stewed. Gone.
She'll be back, claws out.
---------------
----------end of update----------
A bit more sleep overnight, and I think I am ready to tangle with things again today. Hey, take it when you can get it. I am not certain how much I can get done. I just know I have a lot to do, and once I get started, sometimes I can really roll, at least lately. Hmm? Yes, you are right, a slug of coffee might just get the thing going a bit faster. I feel like work, I just hope it's more than a feeling.
Oh, and a song I heard that doesn't fit my usual suspects, so I thought to offer it on it's own. While there is something familiar, the tune is really just... I dunno... interesting. There is something to it, it was entertaining, slightly thought provoking, and easy on the ears and eyes. Enjoy. Or... not. Later.

Yes, I figured if I didn't get it up then.. (the post, rafa!) I would be pushing the boundaries of EST midnight.
ReplyDeleteNice little video here .. Interesting too. I'm feeling my ghost has already left me, so I need to get a move on and chase it own.
*down..
ReplyDeleteI teased fishy a bit. I think she got a bit bent about it. Still, I would have done it anyway. Looks like I'm in good bad company.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the little ditty. It's almost cute, but almost serious, just not too anything, but interesting? Oh, I'm morning blathering. Go get your ghost! I best find mine while your at it.
Good morning, Doom...
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for my ghost again it seems. I came by earlier but was feeling to blech with a sinus headache. Still getting over it.
Say, your first haiku.. Are you making reference to a biblical passage. I seem to remember something about sleeping under the juniper tree and being told to wake up to eat. I like this haiku.. It's very evocative and I do see the humor in the wording.
2nd kuyu ..
Isn't that always the case? :-)
3rd kuyu
Aha ha.. I think my husband could relate. I don't know if I really buy into the astrology stuff, but libras are supposed to be a bit indecisive and that trait seems to fit me at times.
Ps: my mileage always varies too on humor..
Pps: be well..
Oh, like your visuals.. They added a new spin to your haiku..
ReplyDeleteNo biblical in there, but... I am steeped in that, so it might pop up when I am unaware. Read it a few times and it will sneak up on you. God, women, the bible... I have no chance!
ReplyDelete2nd 'ku - More often than expected.
As for the last? Yeah, well, I don't think that has anything to do with astrology. Keep guessing though. Oh, we are laughing on this side, me and my cats and bugs... Hmm, seems the girls have pulled up lame on my humor. But me and the bugs are having a ball.
I think I like your girl cats .. and Momma Doom. ..
ReplyDelete*hai-ku*
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sure it is mutual. You would make a fine feminine herd, you lot. While I might be easy enough to peg, I've got some things in life zeroed myself...
*flluupp*
*womenz fusses*
Right... on... target!
Run away! Run away!
ReplyDeleteI can be brave though. Ignore what you might have heard.
:-)
ReplyDeleteThose links are my faves. I used run away,,run away a few times while rafting this weekend. Some of the other rafts were into splash warfare .. My solution .. Run away, run away! Heck the water was 50f.
Did I mention my first and last white-water rafting? I'd actually like to go again, I have just been busy moving, or unable, or broke, or... well, it just hasn't come together again. It's a bit of a read, but if you ever want to see a worst/best case scenario, there it is.
ReplyDeleteWhat is odd, to me, is that I avoided the splashes too, but when I was in it wasn't as bad somehow.
I'll check it out. The only thing that happens to me when I raft is that I fall into the raft once. I'd rather do that then swim though..:-)
ReplyDeleteThat is for sure. But... falling into the raft? How do you even do that? You sound like a girl version of me... You fall in, I fall out. If there is way to do something, in our own means and ways, we do it. Feel lucky, ever? I told you that... sort of joke... Anyway, I do! :p
ReplyDeletea girli version of you? lol. Oh weh, I'm doomed ..
ReplyDeleteI did read your account, btw and commented there. It sounded harrowing!
ReplyDeleteUhm....Foam? Can girls get their it UP? Hmmm, maybe I need to check under one of y'alls hoods again. A nub'n for the rub'n is all I've ever waggled.
ReplyDeleteDoom! Congrats on top 3! ...though it was a might crowded, huh? I think I got an elbow rammed in my kidney and I swears someone copped a feel long the length of ma' Farmer John.
Nice work with the 'kus, my friend.
Rafa
Oh, and when your mom starts in on ya', just slap her a smile...if nothing else it will throw her off long enough to RUN!
foam,
ReplyDeleteDoomed indeed! Ain't it grand? Who wants to live forever?
It was indeed harrowing. And yet it was beautiful. It, again, confirmed life, for me. Even this humble little part of it I have. Or showed that I will be eating cockroaches when all else passes. :p
Raf?
They can. Some of them have huge ones too, if more like half a pinky. But, uhm, I have huge pinkies. I've... tinkered under a hood or three.
Ah, yes! I was pleased as punch with third! With my mother here, another water heater and toilet to install, a house to help get up to Sgt. Mom's specs, and a garden to plant, third is Grrrreat! As Tony the child diabetes giver the Tiger always said.
