She asked why.

.
.
Oh, I did give a bit of an answer.  I knew there were better answers.  Not that I went looking, but I found in spite of no real interest.  Perhaps it takes a woman to tell another woman some things.

[lyrics]

A number of women have tried hard to put me in the friend zone.  But, I'm just not that type.  I almost look like it, as I can resemble kin.  And, when she was with me, the world can drop away.  What she knew, or thought she knew, easily dissipated into the smoke and mirrors that it truly is.  It can be a long fall with me.  She often can't get enough, or take enough to feel what she thinks she lost, in spite of that never having been real.  Worse, she knew I might be gone.  In the morning, in a week, in a year.  I've talked to a few women, actually, about this.  I can't be the only man that makes a woman feel that way.  So, I assume, that is what love does to women.  Heady, or something.  Maybe only if they really and truly fall?  I won't pretend to understand, or care always.  I was just curious.  Well, and it kept a particular her, or three, from asking questions about which she already knew the answer.  An answer she didn't want to know, not yet.

But... that was... another time.  Perhaps even another place.  I'm not sure it means anything at this point in time.  Like a faded painting, the intent, perhaps is gone, or seems lost.  Clarity is blurred.  Value is questionable.  And desirability may no longer exist.  A thing of art, at one time, now just... a faded memory.  Dead to the world.

  1. I put blogging buddies in this .. err .. blogging buddy cyber space zone. Nobody has a face and It is all foggy in there and everybody floats around .. you too. I'm the only one that is grounded because, you know, I exist in meat space .. :-). You exist in cyberspace. Are you even real? :0)

  2. A safe way to go.

I hold no such delusions. Everyone exists, of their own accord, even if it is I who make you all real. I don't try to bend you to my druthers, or believe fully all you say to a degree, even with the aforementioned understanding. Still, I enjoy exploring and meeting new folk.

Oh, I don't mean that I am romantically inclined, mind you. As I expressed the other day, she doesn't exist. Oh, I may take a woman, online, and dance around her notion... or a real life woman and sprinkle intent at her. But "she" doesn't exist. So, never worry too much about that. It is not I who become confused. I am just a... story teller.

Desert Cat could probably tell you more, if you should have interest, or fear. I really am just a ghost... with a Cheshire Cat grin writ large. *blink*

  3. You do know not to take most of what I write in the comment section seriously. :-) I have met a couple of my bloggers before after all.

  4. I take everything as seriously as a grain of salt. Hmm, I think that was... Peruvian sea salt? No, wait, that was...

I let people say and believe as they choose. Sometimes I fuss and dissent, sometimes I'll walk them through their thought to what I see as the probable outcome, all else being equal, story, true, or... whatnot.

Not all artists merely paint what they are allowed to see, what they do see, or even what is there, or real. All arts, including simple living, are just that. Innit? I dunno, I just haunt here.
