Black, at the speed of light.

.
Wow!

I haven't been that close to passing out in... ever?  I saw stars last time I stretched fasting.  This time my entire peripheral vision was stars, tunnel vision came and was narrowing to a pinpoint.  And as mentioned, darkness was coming at me so very fast.  I got food in me as quickly as possible.  While it took several meals and snacks and four hours when passing out was imminent, I made it.  As soon as I was safe, I began checking things.  Blood sugar was fine, at 114.  But bp had crashed.  I'll bet it had been lower.  At the time I read it, it was 103/68, pulse 80.  I am guessing it really dipped.

I don't know how I made it.  There was a good long time when I was right on that edge.  Incredible.  I am trying to stay up, to get full vision back, and other things.  Wow.  Actually?  Blood sugar must have collapsed too.  That 114 was after a half pound of pistachios, same peanuts, a third of a chuck roast (say three quarters to a pound, cooked weight) and half a pound and an half ribeye and a can of corn... oh, and half a gallon of milk... Measured two hours after the last drop went down, so nearly athe apex of the spike from food.

I... should be more careful.  I think three days is as far as I can go.  At least in the summer.  Though I suspect that is my max without sleeping through it.  If I am awake most of the time, that is it.  Not sure how I used to do it.  I do remember it wasn't by choice.  I really wonder just how... unusual that really is.

Well, up a bit longer.  Then, if I think it is safe, I'll go in and crash.  I got a little close.  Way too close.  Made it into the fifth day without food.  Won't do it again.

I haven't had to fend off death like that in a while.  Wow.  All of my muscles are exhausted, some of my bones hurt.  Yeah.  Wow.  Later, or good night.
