Ah, that's the problem!

.
.
I woke at... eight... ish?  Unkay.  I... still dark?  I roughly tried to roll out a few times.  Tangled.  In blankets.  That must be how newborns feel, at times.  No way out.  Though, after a few futile attempts, I realized I had arms, legs, opposable thumbs, some will to coordinated action, and some other features and abilities which greatly assisted in extrication.

The pauses between failures were very short, not hours as it can be.  I am sure God thinks these events are a joy, much as we enjoy puppies struggling to wake and animate from deep sleep.  It's the little things, even for God.

Finally, after five or seven little efforts, I was free of the blankets, and sleep.  Sitting on the edge of my very low platform.  Looking for my glasses, noticing my free floating earbuds had been scattered in the night, so finding those.

Then brushing my hair.  A first and last of the day thing, thpugh a frequent activity these days, throughout the day.  If you are going to be a long hair, don't be a filthily unkempt one!  Just saying.  Though, if you work hard, and it gets rough for that, be blessed and go with humble grace.

Then, to check a few things.  A call, no message, earlier.  A few texts in and out.  A review of this and those sites.  Then a check on weather.  Cool, even nearing cold.  Not, mind you, for this time of the year.  Further?  Colder on through the day?  By... an oddly strange amount?

Sometimes, rarely, a polar vortex makes the day colder than the night, drops temperatures when it normally would rise.  But... this... isn't that.  I.,. can tell.  Ah!  Eight, but pm.  One of my clocks or my watch must have been bumped to 12 hour, off 24 your, or it would have read 20:00, or whatevernot.

Good to wake to several laughs at one's own mild foibles.  All good.

Up, teeth brushed.  Setting up to put in the whitening plates.  Gaming for the hour that takes.  Then a break, for an hour.  A fatted coffee and a taco or burrito, or two.  Who knows what else.  I must have slept long and hard.  I definitely needed it.  Warm, rested, ready for very mild efforts.

Up for four to ten hours, then back down.  I do need to regain my rested status.  Which will take weeks to months of plenty of sleep.  Plus some work, as able, when awake.  Like, getting new mattresses and pillows in place, blankets washed and dried, and placed.  Finding pillow cases and sheets for the mattresses, and getting those there.  All so, when all is set, I can bring the platform and else down, and set up the bed, all otherwise in one go, on one day.

It always amazes me how much work is truly involved in doing just one simple thing.  All of it even seems simple.  Washing things, and drying them, especially wool blankets but even sheets and pillow cases, takes... hours to days!  Further, in my condition, I can only do just do much, actively, on any given day.

Three runs of the stairs, with loads down, after hunting and searching for what was wanted, will end a day.  Hauling two mattresses, three pillows, and moving things for desired placements, an hour or two of work, and I need minimally a rest.  So it goes.  Even doing two or three days as such, in a row, can put me down for a week.

Weak as a kitten, soft as a puppy, dense as a two by four.  A walnut two by four, at that.  But, it... gets done as possible.  Amen.

Well, on to whitening, and else.  Might even be able to start in on some of those things.  Washing a few spare good blankets.  Finding sheets, pillows, and pillow cases, as a start.  Perhaps a bit more, with things laid out, a plan, and having slept so well.

Later.
