Not a lot, mind you, it would be a drama should I get a headache or break a sweat. :p But I am doing little bits and pieces. Boxes tended, if not yet removed to recycling. Dishes being kept up with, along with some eating. Straightening here, tidying there, and moving these and those things to someplace more appropriate (or at least out of sight). And yet I simply cannot get into it. I am pushing. I simply have little with which to push!
Still, tomorrow will be on for dinner. I am going into town tonight to see if I can get some, most, or all of my list for the meal and perhaps for a bit more. I need soda and a regular coffee pot. My lady friend would be as entertained with the vacuum coffee pot as she was with the French press... Something like, "Cute, but uhm, I want coffee". She can almost shave dry humor, no, she does. But only when she does not try. Her really good accidental humor reminds me of the twinge I would get in my jowels after sucking on those very sour jawbreakers. Oy vey! But I actually like it. Anyway.
I also want to get another kitty litter box, with another sifter. With only one sifter, I cannot quickly and easily clean it, which degrades the whole system or slows down the work a great deal. It might sound finicky, and it might be, but darn it, I hate having a stinky house. Messy? Sure, sort of. Needing a little repair here and there? S'kay, for now. But not stinky. I might also eat out again, so I do not have to do dishes. I like cooking, just not the dishes. The "chef" here is a bit of a Madonna when it comes to using pots, pans, cutlery, serving pieces, and utensils. Nothing but the best for his customers! Bah!
Well, I best get showered and get going. Yes, late. But so it goes. Have a good night. I may not log back in. I am becoming an early to sleep wienie, if that is okay too.
A decent cure for stinky kitty and stinky human is an ozone generator. We've had one for years and it's generated the comment from guests that they had no idea we had so many cats, because the house doesn't smell like it.
ReplyDeleteIf you fall behind in your maintenance and guests are suddenly due at the door, you can kick the unit on high for a while to provide cover for your negligence and then turn it back down again. It's also great for wiping out strong cooking odors.
There is a fine balance to the output level between killing odors and causing respiratory issues. The correct output just covers the odor destroying process without leaving any ozone left over to cause other problems. So an adjustable output unit is mandatory.
I've had several models over the years and spent varying amounts of money with varying results. If it interests you, I can point you to the site where I bought my current unit and Daisycat bought hers for the apartment. So far very happy with them.
Yes, I would be interested. The only thing I fear is that stink does have a purpose. I worry that I might not keep up as much as I should, choosing to deodorize rather than maintain. Still, for guests, such a device would be good. As well, sometimes when I simply cannot tend things, it would also be good.
ReplyDeleteSo, fire away with the link. Oh, and don't tell my lady friend. She is death on it, or at least once she found out it made *gasp* OZONE! hehehe
Thanks. I went and looked and have it bookmared. The nice thing about the link being in comments is that even if I lose my bookmarks, it is still here. Appreciated.
