Cooked!

.
.
Okay, that... of course... took longer than I thought it would.  We got twelve peppers and ten tomato plants in, plus I chopped down four or five huge thistle 'trees'.  I wore gloves, long pants and sleeves, and put sun screen on underneath, plus on all showing skin.  My mother, finally, knew when I had enough.  She did talk me into the chopping, but since I am trying to push anyway, a bit, it was no biggy on my side.  I think she finally understands something.  My pseudonym has more reason than just size similarity.  When I mentioned it, her eyes flickered with recognition.  Red indeed.  It'll pass, in time.  It isn't a sun burn or such.  It's just... something.  It's been that way since I was a kid though, if perhaps more potent with the heart and bp?  Dunno, exactly.  Oh, and I did help with the huge planter I have by the patio area, a bit.  She did most of the planting there, arranging this and that.  Water it, she said.  Fine.  But I'm still going to see if any of it is... edible.

Not a bad day, so far.  Two hours of work in, most of the garden planted.  I still have to wait a bit for the habanero to get a bit bigger, and to separate those and the jalapeno...  The last dozen or so peppers will go in tonight, when it cools, as the sun is going down.  And, if I can get to it, more work on the water heater.  The ac is running.  A couple hours from noon to 14:00 should get me back in shape.  If need be, a nap too.  Lunch is on the way.  Leftovers, but goulash, so I can live with that.  Cooked, for the moment, myself.

She put out the preen, told me what I need to add fertilizer and we put that on the list,  and things are coming together for a decent garden.  I'll be doing some of the planting myself, probably in the evening though.  I'm not quite up to blazing sun.  Then again, it wouldn't be a bad thing to... push on that, in prep for BMan.  It is probably more humid here, and now at least.  That won't be there.  Oh, water.  I really need to get a metal canteen and get going on finding what I can use to hydrate.  A teaspoon per gallon, or quart, or Gatorade or other flavoring... but just enough for a slight flavoring.  Mostly just water, if I can get to it.

Later.
