Uhrm, huh?

.
.
I slept until late, after getting back to bed.  A call.  Today was the day to sign the paperwork.  The lady was, patiently, waiting.  Outside, in the heat in her car.  Ugh.  But I had to have a shower!  I could smell me.  The heat really does unpleasant things to the body.  So, very quickly a shower.  Then dressing and rough grooming.  I invited her to park her car in the shade, would do that for any.  I won't be going anywhere, and if need be could get around a vehicle in my drive anyway.

I am feeling better.  But the heat is weighing in again.  The woman suggested heat will be coming down, soon, from what she heard.  Down to 90 or so.  As cool as my home stays, compared to the outdoors, that means into the 70's inside, usually.  My home does seem to keep it 15-20 degrees cooler in here.  I had thought maybe in the blast furnace heat wave that perhaps that wasn't so true lately.  But stepping outside and I realize it really is a lot cooler indoors.  So, yeah, probably.  It's just that the 80's aren't exactly cool.

Today?  Not much work, probably.  If I catch a bit of cool I would like to work on the bathroom, soon.  It will happen.  I just need to catch my breath.  Which I will do.  Especially if I keep up on water consumption.  I do need to water the lawn and garden today.  I will probably reset the sprinklers before long, so as to just flip the switch when everything is shaded.  I am hitting the various corners, and it is required.  I suppose I could get more hoses and more sprinklers.  With a four spigot attachment to the hydrant, which works wonderfully, I would be able to keep the sprinklers in place, not having to readjust everything for each move would be nice.  And... everything could get watered, more quickly...  Yeah, I'm trying to talk myself into a bit more of an expense.  Four or five hoses, three more sprinklers... less than a hundred but a hundred... or seventy five... is still money out.  Bleh.  If I do it, it will be more to keep things from browning in the interim of watering, as it is doing now.  I just won't water in direct sun, I don't want to run them all night, and the time slots are difficult.  Hot, I say...  While I am out, I might as well water what is shaded, the flowers and such.  Still hot, but the flowers sit so as to be shaded by early afternoon.  Should be cool enough by now.

Later.
