While reviewing short films I happened to spot something of interest, if I thought it might be a hoax. Still, I looked a little closer. It doesn't seem to be a spoof. Further, I found others, of a more functional sort. Oh, right, you have no clue yet. Armor, or at least a gauntlet.
Now, I would want to do a bit more digging. See, I am still a bit skeptical about this being possible, at least for functional armor, to be made at home. Still, the idea is alluring enough that I will be digging a bit more. For now I will just imagine, dream. I'll ignore the size of the headache which might result from armor, or even just banging out a gauntlet or two. It beats drums, for my taste and given most folk and drums, to include myself. Hmm...
This next video is the revision of the post that taught the guy above to do his stuff. Looks... a bit sharper.
Actually, this is the one I would love to work at, or up to. I'd have to think on it. Now imagine the gauntlet below using 18/16 mirrored hardened stainless. Use 16 gauge for the main plates, 18 gauge for the fingers and perhaps finials.
Not sure I could even possibly make a whole suit though, especially for it to be functional. That gauntlet would not be functional. This next video explains it in better detail.
