I dug in.

.
.
Breakfast, of course.  Then this, that, and some other things.  Finally I hit the dishes.  Dried and put up, the next batch is being collected.  I will rest for an hour or two, then take a shower.  I will be checking my potatoes.  If they are good I may do a couple of things.  Some of them will be peeled and sliced, a la french fries, others will be par boiled (or some such... just a hit and softening, perhaps a quarter the way done), and some will be baked, if I have enough.  The last two sorts will be skinned after they are cool enough to handle, then they will be french fry sliced.  If I have potatoes, enough good ones, to work these, I am hoping to kick most of the prep out today, then make a shot at McClone fries... minus the long storage chemicals, and a few other things... plus tallow (beef fat, as lard is to pork), along with peanut oil for the old school taste.  I think McDs has gone to all vegetable, which is partly why their fries aren't as good anymore.  They tried to blame it on vegans, but it was really just a shortcut to cheaper oil.  They threw their hands up, and paid the $5m fine, and cut their oil costs by a hundred times that a year, or something.  Rigged.  Then again most who eat there anymore, and more who are still welcome, wouldn't care if they were chopping up humans and adding them in.  Bleh.

Mostly asleep.  I would still like to push on through.  A shower, then a bite to eat, then perhaps to potatoes.  Hmm... then again, maybe I will skip on the potatoes.  That would be a lot of work, a lot of triple duty performance, it would take some organization, too much even If I was fresh.  I may have to do each of those on different nights, put them in batches so I can test them all through several nights, hoping that will be enough.  Rate each for difficulty, time and energy consumption, and end results or such.  Not as perfectly accurate, but much simpler, would be doable.  The hope is that they are all rather close enough but one is much simpler... raw, peeled, cut, most likely?  Though the partially cooked ones might be easier, just taking more time and focus on the project.

I have looked at other options regarding poaching eggs with nothing more than a pan.  The others seem to think that getting rid of the true whites, just keeping the 'whites' that seem to be attached to the yokes, is the way to go.   That doesn't leave you with much egg though... perhaps half?  I believe I will just do some easy over this time.  Maybe a bit of cheese on top... just a couple of sprinkles.  That and more bacon.  Dratted stuff is delicious.  Add that the forms are irregular and it adds to the hunger somehow.  I suppose I best get a shower in, then on to a bite.  I hope to make it later than 13:00, maybe 14:00, if that will make waking for the dinner bell difficult.  Bleh...  Push, shove, hop, and jump... still can't always do half of it.  Later... or more good night.  I don't think I will be back until after a bit or lot of sleep.
