Taking a bit longer, but then when is that a surprise.

.
.
The bathroom is sparkling.  Tub to toilet, floor to shower curtains, clean and clean smelling.  I had it really clean not too long ago.  And it stayed that way for a rather longish time.  Actually, while a bit scruffy, it really wasn't too bad.  One thing to note, ladies may avert eyes, is that even a sprinkle on carpet or off to the side, and it smells like an old folks' home.  So it had to be strip cleaned.  Which is exactly what happened.  The floor was scrubbed, then again, rinsed, and again.  If it isn't tacky to the touch, when it dries, I am done.  Otherwise one more shot.  I hate sticky floors... for any reason.  It has simply taken longer to dry, being a bit cooler today.

No worries.  I will keep at it.  Now it doesn't look like even a bathroom in even a three star motel, not a new one anyway.  But she will do for a daily decor driver.  Though I might see about the flooring, and whether it could or needs to be treated.  A sealant or such.  I think the owners purchased extra tiles, and know where they are.  I think it says on the box what they are as well.  That might make mopping easier, or more productive?

When the floor dries, I'll quickly set the room back... extra tp rolls holder, standard tp use pillar... changing chair (which doubles as kitchen/home (very solid) step stool... laundry chute with a laundry bag...  Yeah... maybe not fully classy but much closer to more functional... and some of it with just a touch of elegance.  Who knew?  Ah, then a shower.  I think I can still get in to town.  If not, at least get clean.

If to town, then just simple shopping.  Either way, I will get the larder and storage stuffs to the basement.  Oh, and probably the old water heater up first.  Yeah.  That will sure clear some space down there.  I think I will get a good lot done.  More?  Well... if, on one of my breaks, I can pull it off, remember, and make it happen, I'll put my 50mm on my camera and take some snappies... then attempt to pull them over.  Might have to go .jpg, as I don't think my connected machine has a translater.  Bleh.  Still...  Even darker, she is a pretty world outside my windows.  Hmm... might even open up, even without any sun of which to speak... write.

A bit more music.  Later.

  1. You know .. I always kind of thought once you clean something once, it should stay like that forever. Isn't it a drag that that is not true. I know I keep offering, but you always scoff at when I generously offer for you to come clean my place when you are in the cleaning mode.... ;-/
You seem to be feeling okay?

  2. I am absolutely with you, on that cleaning should be a done and done deal! Same with fixing automobiles, planting gardens, all sorts of things. Then again, I think it was a choice. One made in ignorance, but with a willful set of minds. Which was cute, until the sweat of the brow, labor pains elsewise, and pain and death in general became a thing. :p

As to cleaning your place? Sure. Just carry me over, feed and water me, give me a place to sleep (dog house is where women often prefer me), then wait. My work episodes are sort of like... seeds. They need time and patience to sprout. Don't feed to much, or I'll just inflate in place. Don't talk too much, you'll end up with an earache... Yeah, usually that is the other way around between men and women, but I am... special.

Well? Yes. Though I do need to get mys otc and supplement stuff going. I keep forgetting. A bit of underlying pain, but painkillers have been kicking that out... I think, if I get back to what I do have, that might help with the aches and pains. Or? I'm not dead yet.

  3. Is that France, Germany? And that hat! *grins* You can be such a tourist when you want to be. I swear, girls can get away with having no shame! :p

  4. The pain, in my experience, will just get worse when meds are not taken.
Yup, that is France. With the sun glaring, temps in the high 90s for days on end, traipsing for miles through the city, a hat, even a slightly whacky one, was essential. :/)

  6. Yeah, it's funny. If you haven't been over there, Europe sounds idyllic. When over there, the heat and cold, long hikes or fares to anywhere, rude people, and the rest can take the joy out... if you believed the hype. I just hadn't heard the hype, as Europe had never been a proposed destination. I thought it would be just like here, only the locals would have "thicker" accents and be a bit more territorial. You have kin there, and speak at least some German, French too? It helps.

Well, I can live with pain. Remember, they didn't medicate this for nearly a decade and an half. Now that I know what it is, have gotten just a touch better if just long enough to figure some things out possibly, I will just have to figure things out from here. Why they won't let me just pay for my doctor, and accept his scripts, I don't know... the criminality... thuggishness... of unions is the only viable answer. And they know it. Nope, won't do it!
