Not of mind, of body. And... not the worst sort.
I didn't go down until somewhere between 23:30 and 1:30? I think so. So exhausted, but sort of jacked. The sale has me up on all fours, and wanting to sprint. But... with nowhere to go! Not until Monday. So, I... am having to try to back off, cool down, and not doing well at it.
I may have slept too hard, when I finally got to bed. My arms are asleep, in large part. They weren't when I woke, not sure why they would be now. Settling? I don't know. Still, so be it.
I'm hoping to get a shower in again today. Do some laundry, and dishes. Do some cleaning. I did get trash out, but not recycling. It won't be recycling this week, but I would still like to get that out too. And, any more trash I can scrape, pull, load, and take out.
I am watching music videos, but also looking at other reviews of the bike. Plus upgrades, maintenance vids, and such. Some say breaking is an issue, others say it is fine. Some suggest this, others suggest not. What I am gather is things to consider when I begin riding.
I am sure I want to consider working on the suspension. Just for my size. But, this thing, with riders (assuming average guys, in the 150 range), are adding as much as four to six hundred extra pounds for long excursions, and she... does it. Probably not at interstate speeds. If not sure I'd want to ride a bike, that laden, at those speeds even if she could do it. Put along at 55, maybe 65?
And, I have heard she goes up to a a 100 mph, as mostly a stock top speed. Which, to be honest, for a beginner bike, is more than enough. And, it won't get there fast, which is better. A bike that can hop to 120 in five or less is too much pony for me... for my initial interest. Fifteen seconds to speed gives me a little more time to consider the folly involved. :p Then again, what good are men if we don't get in over our heads. Starts with women, ends with a casket? *grins* Damn straight. Trouble is our middle name, and primary function.
I still think the only reason women end up being with us is, at least initially, to watch us crash and burn. Until, if we live long enough, they realize finding someone to replace us with has become... unlikely? Right. Then they... want us to become safety freaks. That's when bikes really become fun! Zoom, zoom! *Pops a wheelie!*
Looks cloudy? Maybe. It's been off and on, with wet weather coming and going, dumping and running, returning at it's leisure. All good. sure makes it pretty. Snow up in the mountains again, probably for a while. But with the clouds so thick so often, didn't notice until they cleared a bit yesterday, while I also happened to peak out.
Hoping for a good day of work. Getting things going, in order to get the bike, has sort of helped push me back onto my feet. It's also killing me. But... more helping than killing. All good. So I am hoping to use that shove, push, and kill zone, to get more back on my feet. Later.
