Pretty close, but not seeing it. Not frequent, yet. So, maybe when I look up, it's already done? Further than it seems? A touch of a sprinkle, very intermittent, as I cooked my steak. But... a pleasant weather system. I do hope it rains a bit. Though, at this time of year, surprised we even got spit on by the clouds. Not completely unheard of, just not... all that common.
The steak cooked well. Almost let it cook too long, but caught it. Actually caught it, this time, with plenty of time. Still mostly rare. It's an inch and a half thick. So, still, quite a steak. And it was, is, delicious. I could only finish about half of it. The rest is wrapped in cling wrap and refrigerated.
-----------
I looked up it's stats. At 24 ounces, which is what an inch and a half generally provides, it has 2112 calories, 151 grams of fat, and 175 grams of protein. See, that's... a bit of a problem. Eating the whole thing? And while the proteins are right, the calories and fat are too much?
At half, I have eaten 1056 calories, ~75 grams of fat, and ~88 grams of protein? Or so. I keep... sorting, and figuring. How do you get enough protein without getting too much fat? Leaner meats, of course. But... sorting this out is tricky. At least I know getting enough protein is doable, but now to get enough protein without overdoing it on the fats and calories.
-----------
If I want to do a whole thick cut ribeye, or new york strip, I will go with water, plain tea, or black coffee only. If it seems I won't be eating it in one sitting.
At half? Let me see if their numbers are right... I had 75 grams of fat, at 9 calories per gram, or 675 calories from fat. Plus 88 grams of protein, at 4 calories per gram, which equals 352 calories, so 1027 calories? Roughly correct. I rounded down, so... yes. Close enough. So, one fatted coffee will provide the remaining calories, or close enough... at 90x calories (the x being... some number between 0 and 9). Which puts it between the 1.8k and 2k mark, which... is what I want.
Spilled much of the fatted coffee though, so will have to have more later. A bit of a mess, but fine. I started making another one, but found there was enough remaining in the pot, and in a secondary container. I had put some into the nearly empty cream container, to get that out. So... just put the fresh made into the cream container, after doctoring it. Then will have it as a cold coffee later.

Ah, the new Crocs are in. I have tried the 15s, which are rather large. Might work in the winter, with thicker socks. I then tried 14s. Even those are a bit large, but not quite so larger. And, finally, I am in 13s. Those fit my feet perfectly. They really are very oversized shoes, at least at my size. I sometimes wear as large as 16s, but usually 15s. So these are two sizes too big. Though, like I mentioned, with compression socks and wool socks, in the winter, the bigger sizes will work.
I thought they seemed too expensive. But, not really. These shoes will probably last longer than I do. They might even outlast cockroaches, after the big one? If there is a big one, they have a chance... if they aren't at ground zero. Plus, strangely? They are cooler than the cross strap flipflops I bought at walmart a long time ago. That strap clings to the foot, all but melting in. Even in the winter those are a bit warm. And, their food bed was collapsing? Crazy, but yes. So, right. I have three pairs, and one more pair on the way. Two in the right size, for summer. Two in sizes which will work better in the winter. Meh, okay.

Oh, I had been thinking of trying to finish the steak later today. But, no. If I am going to do a whole steak? I want to do it without that much fatted coffee. Now, a inch and a half sirloin? That will be around 1656 calories, 96 grams of fat, and 184 grams of protein. So that can be eaten, in a day, with half a cup of cream in a fatted coffee. Okay, okay. Numbers, sorting, figuring, remembering. All good.
-----------
But, I must admit, that steak was pretty good. I didn't get but half a fatted coffee, so I have more available, later, if I want it. Not sure I will have it though. Being in the fridge, and cool, it'll last a day or so. Probably.

Now to figure out how much hamburger I need, whether I can tolerate it, and maybe going as lean as possible. Though, it doesn't really matter. Fat in burgers, especially if it make it into beef crumble, just melts out and drains off. So, buying extra fatty doesn't do much good, unless I make burgers out of them. Tricky how everything sort of works out. Everything is, beyond that, a bit of a guess. How much fat is on that steak? How much remains in the burger, or crumble, when cooked? Gah!
I guess you just do your best, consider the history over time. What is causing weight loss? What is doing this, or that? How well are you tolerating the fat, or lean, portions? Meal prep is a heck of a lot more than just... slapping it together, and tossing it on the table, if nutrition and such are intended goals. Otherwise it doesn't matter. If it doesn't matter? Are you saying you, and those you cook for, don't matter? To a degree, yes.
I might head on up, take a bit of a nap. Or not? Does that matter? Later.
