I do try to stretch. I also attempt to avoid that step too far. It can be, literarily, akin to stopping blindly at warp speed at a desired location. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. yesterday it worked just about perfectly. I had, however, forgotten a bit about dinner. I thought to set the alarm but sometimes it comes earlier or later, so that doesn't really work but I took my phone in. I woke for that, and enjoyed the meal.
The stage of overexhaustion I go through, like this song, is sort of soft and ambiguous. It is usually quite painless, but confusing. I cannot focus, but I can feel, even think, or think I am thinking, like a waking dream. That song is a reminder of the best of those times. I... think.
Dreams, though. My word do I have dreams sometimes. Last night was a dream festival. Because of them I decided to add a masquerade meme song I had been reluctant to add. It is a true concern for one such as myself. A little of the horror, and yet... nature of some beings. So confusing, so mean, so direct, so harsh, and yet so... soft.
Another song I had found lately, or it found me, was in play in my dreams. The beautiful passions I have known. Loving to the depths of one's body and soul. Losing, for this or that reason. Wanting so desperately to hold on to someone who is gone. I have to think, among my lovers who remain, I am not the only one. So much darkness involved with and beside so many loves. These things are terribly beautiful and horribly afflicting memories. So fast, life, and love, comes and goes. Moments that change everything.
And... this one. Darkly showcased, carnally envisioned, redone from a darkness, not merely the secular. Although, as many who have the ears to hear and the eyes to see, there is something there. Truths. The breaking baby explaining the wealth inherent in the family, in children, as a store, and a wisdom. Purposeful or accidental matters little. Even the blind see, from time to time. Some of us understand what they see.
1 Corinthians 7:1-40 Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: "It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman." But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body*, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourself to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not temp you because of your lack of self-control.
(*Also a direct biblical denunciation of abortion, specifically on the grounds that woman's body is her own. That notion is fictitious nonsense.)
Ephesian 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself it's Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.
Oddly, sadly, and quite often... the secular, or even what many of the faith consider worse than secular... get it more correctly than the faithful.
Dreams, such potent little devices. Love and romance, even when believed to be purely of the flesh, can move even a heart thought to be of stone, raise the dead, and allow a monster to nigh on touch the face of God. I do remember, more than ever, and it all comes together like the most perfect symphony accompanied by all the hosts in heaven. But to get it right this time. I could show a woman the face of God, as closely as she can see it here. I could. Not an artifact of me, mind you. Only a gift to me that I might be able to share.
