The day got better as I went along. I did finish the bathroom and the kitchen. I am still neatening a few rooms, reading and re-reading the climbing and reloading books I have, practicing with knots, and just tinkering. Still not much energy, but much more than during previous dives.
It is storming out, to a minor degree. If it really lets loose, I will probably go out and watch it for a while. Thunderstorms are some of my favorite entertainment. I will just cup over my pipe should I decide to get a free shower. Fun, I tell you.
Supper was simple, but pleasant. Though there are now dishes to do. I had not realized I had not eaten until I got started with preparations. It was a non-meat casserole I prepared on the stove. I think I could have added fresh spinach leaves into that and it would have been very good. Maybe peas too or as an alternative. I am trying to see where I can add some vegetables in without complicating my processes. Fresh ground pepper, several cheeses, and pasta leaves the door fairly open for additions.
I might offer the Q.O.D. a portion of the last pan of enchiladas, though they may feed her before they send her home. She has slowly been making friends in that group, and after three years, I am sure it will be even more difficult for her to part ways with her play mates this year. Then again, she might be quite ready to go. It is difficult to say with her. I do not know if she will be too tired for a coffee, but she usually does not like to go straight home after these things. She actually hates going back to her cage, so she has put it and I have termed it.
I should call my mother tonight. I have not heard from her in the last few days, and I am curious if she is still doing as well. She was getting rain the last time I called, but they needed it, so she was happy. I do not know if we need it, but I am happy with it.
