To the plumbing, he said.

.
.
And not a butt muscle twitched. Here I sit, here I sat, right where I wrote what I was sure I was going to do. Well, yes, it happens to the best of us. I, however, am not among those! I will not beat myself up, if I do have some disappointment in the lack of action. I could not sleep last night and I could not wake up, pretty much at all, today. Mind works, body quit. Perhaps I have been shoveling too much coal into the engine of a worn out, run down, damaged device and needed the break. I can never be sure.

I guess that is why we have tomorrows, a little foresight and afterthought, and hope. And, the day is not yet done. I might get to the plumbing before the day is over. No guarantees about anything at this moment. I am not even sure I will be able to sleep. I think it is the heat. We had a little rain and lightning storm pass over then leave just as the sun is setting, so maybe that cooled things off enough for a better rest tonight. And hopefully my off schedule blip into night owl land did not upset the corrective maneuvers I have been attempting in waking earlier.

Sometimes it feels like I am, and am working, on a puzzle without all the pieces. I am both key parts of the puzzle and yet subject to the puzzle as a whole. As I have said though, out here, in the West, more of the pieces of that puzzle are coming together, seemingly all their own. Medicines distracted from that, when tried. And the slow down in winter did not allow as much access as might be more useful to added success. Still, the engine is picking back up from where I left it late last fall. It is not perfect, it will never be perfect, but I am really hoping and working toward a better tomorrow... even when things like this happen. Maybe more so in times like this?

Plumbing? Maybe.

  1. Yes, Bane. Bane knew how to handle women and could certainly have espied a gem in the dreck, pulled her out, and made her his devoted love slave.

I just wish I'd had more time to learn from him or had paid closer attention.

I spent some time browsing dating sites a while ago, when it looked more like divorce was imminent. It is a wasteland out there Doom. You've discovered that, I see.

"Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies." Proverbs 31:10

Yes, and the reason is that she is as rare as hen's teeth.

  2. Rubies ain't all that rare, when you realize the prices are more based upon huge markups, not the actual cost to the stone, which does put them in most men's reach. Even at market prices, rubies are not all that bad. *grins*

Yeah, wasteland with a lot of broken kitties wanting someone to feed them, water them, then leave them to their feminist ideology, not touch them EVER!, and help them further attempt to erode man's place in life, thank you very much. What was it I tell me doc's when they try to give me more of what obviously fails? Ah, "NO THANK YOU!".

Bane and Vox both, if they decided to cut corners and go for the pretties, if SB bugged out, could do some damage, no doubt. My problem isn't that. First, no premarital sex, if it happens actually, I won't marry her. A general hook for a lover, and most secular type women in general. Second, no divorcees and a number of preconditions... can she have children, will she have children, etc. Some guys, many guys, just go with it into the panties, assuming they can figure it out from there. It is, even for the best gamer, a dubious prospect, if it works occasionally.

    Doh! I'm never happy.

  3. Oh, reread... far above rubies... Okay, they have me. Yeah, Bane had more going in that department for sure too. Being defensive doesn't work, always. Ah well.

    Cheers, Bane, wherever you are.
