Rather than read while waiting for the clothes to finish, I did something else, something I have been contemplating since I joined the church. Initially I had things to work out. Then, well, it just seemed too complicated. I just haven't been able to see my way to it, until today. I found one, which has been blessed, a rosary.
It took about thirty minutes, perhaps a bit more. I had the timer set for laundry. I know all the prayers, save the fatima addition if that is optional. The beads were smaller, which actually wasn't as much of a problem as anticipated... actually no problem at all. Now I worry the one with larger beads will be a problem to use? I'll survive. When I received the refund from the dress shoes, not liking one, I only reordered one of the shoes a size up, then a "dress" rosary. It'll be my daily house one. I would like to get several more, for the vehicle, for travel, and a few spares. Standard will do, could even make my own. They need to be blessed before use, bought or made.
I was abit surprised at how well it went. Contemplating times in the life of Jesus while praying is a new sort of thing. Sometimes contemplation would trip the tongue, sometimes contemplation would get lost in the spoken prayer words, but generally I did well. Daily? I can attempt to add it, more since I am backing out of gaming. Maybe. I sure would like to learn to do the rosary without a cheat sheet. No reason save time (and for me possibly focus) this couldn't be employed several times a day... for intentions and practice. I was also surprised at the improvement from, through, just one run.
Laundry is done and away. Dishes are soaking, but not a priority. Cat litter, clearing counters and the floor, sweeping, trash, then mopping? I'm sure pushing for that, and today. I'll have to push hard and lean in heavy. I'll know later. I still have an hour to my break, need it. I am almost sure I'll post another time. Later.
