.
Even so, I have some other things I'd like to make. Now, I did make
creme fraiche, successfully, and two batches through time (need to make
another soon). And I have made other things. Can't make
everything? Or every time? Still, working on mayonnaise, so as to
get on to making homemade blue cheese and ranch dressing.
Currently, though, on my mind, is the idea of dipping sauces and spring rolls,
of an oriental sort. Which... requires keto "rice" paper. Maybe
it's easy. But taking two days to get it right? Well, and then
setting up ingredients? The sauces shouldn't be a problem. But
what to eat them with? They say pork, fish, and seafood?
Maybe. Here are a few ideas.
As well, I keep dreaming, daydreaming, of oyster. Fresh, raw. I
have only had them, maybe, four or six times in my whole life. But I
absolutely loved them. A few times, I had several platters of them,
solo. In the right places they aren't too terribly expensive.
Where I live, they are outrageous. Can't do them here, now. Plus,
opening them is quite a trick.
Just a food thread. I'll be doing eggs and something or other shortly,
fried. I guess you could call those prairie oysters? Though I'm
not sure I can eat them raw. I did clean some pans and pots, using the
stovetop, water, soap, and plain water. A little elbow grease with some
scratch pads as well. Should be easy to make some food.
The thing with the high carbon pans is, after a bit, it will hold rancid
fats. Gotta get in there and clean, clean again, and maybe clean
thrice. Especially if one lets them set a bit long. As... this one
is want to do. Flpfpfpf But, clean they are. As well, with
the big pots clean, I will check the last of the eggs, and perhaps boil
them. Good eating for the week. More so if I get lettuce, or
better a premade in-store salad. Not sure why they stopped making
those? Or, perhaps they are selling out? I'll keep checking, might
even ask. They... seem to pay attention to customers. I may have
been wrong about them. I was going in twice a month, when they were
putting those out. Have backed off a bit since. Need chuck roasts,
and burger, too. Hmm... might give them a call. Pick what they
have up tomorrow? Maybe.
Well... almost payday. Almost. Later.
