Down to 51 in my room. I'm not quite ready for that. It's up to 59, up there, as I woke around 15:00. Outside is at 45, probably as warm as it has been today. Could get slightly warmer, or not. Clear as a whistle. No snow down in the valley that I could see. But the mountains are white. Not capped, slathered in the stuff.
I wanted to look the bike over, see about a few things. There is a reserve tank on her, or portion of the tank? Right. And a switch for high, low, and off. Some have them, some don't. I saw the brand of cage on part of the bike. Think it is only an engine guard. Want to add the rest of the kit to add protection to the upper part of the bike.
The slide plate is solid. I didn't find the brand, but will need the brand to know which brand of center stand will work with it. You can drill and push and pull and hope, with a brand that doesn't necessarily go with the underguard. But... why, when there is probably one built for plug and play with it.
As well, won't need guards for the various bobbles I had been worried about more. Not... terribly needed, but... good to have. Things... happen. I haven't checked the battery. So I'm not sure if that needs changed. And, as for the windscreen? It's okay, but I'd really like to get a much larger one. This is probably 12". I want at least a 20" screen. Not sure they make them much longer. That is the longest one I have seen so far.
I didn't see a slider, front or axle. But I forgot to look. I do, if I can find ones that fit, want those installed. They are very cheap, really. Very worth the small coin involved. As well, I will check the handle bars. I want endcaps, made for spills. Heated handlebars grips. A heated seat. Though... some of that may or may not ever be added. But end-bar protection, if it isn't there, yes.
A few other things? Improved peg mounts, with vibration padding. Same with the handlebars. As well, perhaps lifted bars. At 6'5" to 6'6", I'm pushing it, in some ways, on almost everything. Just at the fringes of design. So... a few tweaks... makes life easier. Plus? It makes standing in the saddle much easier, for off-road excursions. Certain of them.
Hungry. I don't think I ate yesterday. Just too cold, too dark, too tired from running this week, and such. It was a down day. I may have caught my breath, and will try to get on the list. I did get laundry through. It's all at least dry. Now to get a shower, do some dishes, clean the freezertop, pull meat both for the other freezer and to thaw for this next week. Ugh. I'll try to hit it.
Sure is cool though. Winter is here, regardless of what anyone says. Later.
