Good question. I started that last post at 16:23. It couldn't have taken long to finish and post. And I pretty much just crashed after that. I was tired beyond tired. Barely got into sleep clothing. Just didn't want to sleep with regular clothing and had just enough going not to do so.
Up at 2:45. A shorter sleep? Strange, but okay. A bit weary, not tired... sleepy. I have been doing so little, that what little I did yesterday hard on me. Haven't been able to do much. So, sure.
That motorcycle will either be the death or life of me. It'll kill me, one way or another, or will quicken me. Just getting in the saddle will be a trick. She's a big girl. Her name, by the way, is Mona Lisa. *grins* I'll bet you never saw that coming?
I am probably not going with the panniers. Saddle bags, if you will. The top pack, that came with it, is shot. The others are good, but for now sort of make saddling up a bit more difficult. Though, if I start getting to town with her, I'll begin doing them, having gotten used to getting on her. Plus, so as to do minor shopping when in town.
Gotta order the 90 degree gas filter. She has an inline gas filter, currently. but that is at the start of the gas line. Which is a bear to get to, having to remove seat and tank to get in there. More work than I'd want to do every time I wanted to even check it. The 90 degree one would be something I could fiddle with, pretty much plug and play.
Today? Hmm... Oh, I was going to try to do work. Yesterday was that work, or what I could do, help with. Today is back to it. Dishes... I'll get those set up. Laundry will be pushed through. Sassy... her litter has been cleaned, water is still good, and she has been fed. I need to be fed too. And a few other things. We'll see.
Some of the last gear has arrived, in order to ride warmer. Layering. We'll see if it helps. I need to try it on. The puff jacket, arriving several days ago, fits well. I still need to try the winter boots, and gaiters for the boots. Just... with the right gear, it makes boots much more waterproofed. Even high boots, in driving rain, or deep snow, have their limits otherwise. And... any rain, on a motorcycle, is driving rain. Check.
So... we'll see. I did learn how to start her. And will practice daily. Until it just happens. Then? Or during? I... may sit her... and begin learning to shift. And drive the driveway and back. Maybe toodle around the back forty. Not fast... if I can get to it. Just... tinker, slowly. Ugh. She's a beauty, a potentially lethal one. Aren't... they all? Yum.
Blood sugar is 119 fasting. But I had most of a gallon of milk yesterday. I know. But, yeah. I had ordered it, thinking I'd be using it in a recipe. The recipe never happened. Didn't want to waste it like the last gallon, so drank it. Will finish it today. It might not be healthy, but I love milk. Just... do. Later.
