Way too much chick muzak.

.
.
So... I went looking for palate cleansers.  Found them.

Well... dark and light.  So goes life.

Chasing off all that feminine goo that is blocking things up.  I do have to laugh.  Someone really does seem upset.  While a herd of mares might try to separate, to have the stallion to themselves?  What upsets them more is if the stallion has... better, or other... things to do.

A lot of moaning and whining and whinnying going on.  But... okay.  If she won't do, is too young, too old, has tats, has a dozen piercings, scarification, or... for a thousand other reasons, including just being American at this point?  I just can't help.  Her fault?  Accept the bennies, accept the price, cost, cuts, and else.  She'll have to find a wild one, and settle down with Uncle Sam, I guess.

Look, it's just how things go.  On to music.

Not exactly the good old days.  But things were... simpler.  I lead a difficult path.  But things were, mostly, plain.  Requirements, until you could, would, take charge, escape, win.  Limits?  Choices.  You might always have choices, but not always can they be enacted at your immediate discretion.  Not successfully.  But... biding time, looking for the tools, strength, skills, and/or opportunity(ies), and... your choices could be made manifest.
Lots of time to think.  No... anger... rage... these days.  Even as I weaken, with age, with illness, there remains intention, direction, resistance, and such.  Again, not always can I enact my will.  But I can seek the right times, ways, and then attempt to apply my will.  So it has always been.
As for the unhappy mares?  Well, maybe, if you are able?  Perhaps finding a tamer mate, a milder one, one you can safely love?  Maybe this is a favor.  My seed has proven lethal.  Find a... a man you can handle.  So strange.  Seriously, a lot of whining from the feminine side in the y.t. feeds.  All night!  Gah!
Oh, I did check outdoors again.  IF what I am seeing is what I think, it was still up half an hour to an hour ago.  If it isn't the Aurora Borealis?  Then there is a new city up all along the border with Idaho.  Unless I am seeing something else?  I'll... look the rest of the week, or off and on in it as my sleep patterns allow.

Later?  Goodnight?  Dunno.  Thinking on it.

  1. Some good ones, couldn't listen to them as they should be. Don't want two angry females roused out of sleeping in by too much bass, (because it's all about that bass [look that one up for fun])
The other morning found me hearing and pondering bird-songs. Specifically that of the North American Robin. The song was different from what I had remembered. Not surprising considering the years and distance from where I delivered papers to the Robin morning orchestra (also the only time I saw The Northern lights one clear -10F pre-dawn.) We talked about hearing loss, then it hit me, and I listened again this morning, I'm not hearing all the notes. There are slight pauses and skips where I can't hear with my ears anymore. Amazing thing the brain is, I started adding ,in my head, the notes to the song as I remembered, then I recognized it from my youth. Bittersweet because I'll never hear that song again without my brain as backup singer.
Wonder how much music I miss, and how that affects my enjoyment or the song's "likeability".

  2. That latter part? That is what... I consider. Though, not from hearing loss. My mind... skips things it can't or won't tolerate, I think. I sort of understand, if from a different direction. For years, if a movie, or song, was on, about the loss of woman, child? I... couldn't understand it. It was like my mind was filtering, on the fly. Then, when they started me on heart medicine, and I was getting better, and could remembered? I heard it EVERYWHERE. Couldn't shut it out.

The mind, and body, are very funky items. Far more potent than most people think, or can imagine.

I'll have to look up the bass thing. Though, I do know, I do like bass. It almost, almost I say, makes me want to like rap music. I just can't stomach it. I'll either have to do the rare rock/metal/etc that goes that way, or go without. Can't quite say "sadly" though. :p

Two mares in the stable with you? God, I couldn't do that. I'd be roping and riding, if that's what it took. I've been celibate for fifteen to twenty years, but couldn't... live with a nag, or two, and not be riding... probably both of them. It's the moderation, or all in, thing back at it. You are a brave man, unless they are kin? Or... you have medical problems. ;p

  3. The bass thing is a bubblegum pop catchy tune, if it grabs you. A half-ass funny throwaway joke.
Wife and college aged daughter, and they are brats. Wife, no physical contact (let alone love) in over 5 years. Daughter, was making all sorts of father/ daughter moments, really connecting, THEN... boyfriend... And I became the default bad guy (default because the ONLY repeat ONLY thing I ever disparaged him on was What does he do for a living? and where is his car? Fair questions for a suitor) She wanted me to hate him, so when I asked Legit' questions, she latched onto that, accused me, sentenced me, and is totally indifferent to me, guess that's better than hatred and actively making my life more difficult.

  4. Oh, he works at Krispy Kreme donuts...(observation, if I worked at a donut shop My girlfriend would never want for sweets. In the 6+ months he's worked there, I have seen exactly ONE box of donuts and that was the 2nd week he "worked" there). Oh, the car, they made a big deal about showing me "his" car... Grandma sedan, never seen it since.
When she was a baby I knew she would be trouble, I just hoped she would be smarter with her bad decisions.
Hey, I had to learn the hard way.

  5. Bass thing, like an ear worm song? I'm missing something, you aren't explicit (enough for me?), or... something. Just trying to sort.

Ah... that. Okay. Well, yeah. Related, in... the most difficult of ways. If I think that is more the norm than not? Maybe always has been?

As for daughter father thing? That will work out in time. You just have to live long enough. It's... required, so she can move on. Still has to suck. But these kids, these days? At least... she isn't trying to believe she is a boy, or dating girls. There is hope yet. *grins* I won't go farther. That is... all your gig. Not even sure how much input parents have, now or ever, at some point. Though... good fortunes. Really.

Sometimes I think I got away through some sort of luck, incident, accident, slightly, mostly, unscathed. I watch men who get scalped in marriage, or trying to get out of it. Which is why I won't marry an American pony, or even a foreign woman in America. Must be in the water?
