Up at five thirty, again.

.
.
I'll keep trying to pull the bedtime back to 19:00 even.  I think I was awake, as it turned out, until 21:00.  A bit after, no more than half after, more like just after?  I can't remember.  I checked my last post, but that wasn't it.  Couldn't remember how late that was.  But it turns out to have not been near bedtime.

A good warm sleep.  Forgot to turn the furnace down, so it was a warm wake too.  The heat doesn't get upstairs, even with the door open.  But it sure stayed nice and toasty down here.

I fed and watered Sassy, cleared her litter box, and set water heating for the french press.  Another day of, mostly, fasting?  Maybe.  Just... thawing, and cooking, and such, seem slightly out of my reach.  My hunger remains, but isn't demanding, commanding.  Just... annoying.

In the too much information department?  You know how you can tell if your guts are solidly working?  When you have had six cans of corn over the last week, and seen nary a yellow speck.  My system absolutely consumes what I give it, even corn.  Nothing to show but nutrient void clay.  A bit dry, still.  Too much salt takes a while to... be moderated.  Ugh.  Still, I have some small pride in that.  I remember eating corn, when on the standard American diet, and one cob would pretty much dot my merde like a whole other reformed cob.  No more.  And, when it is good food, meats?  It doesn't pass those until it has consumed almost everything.

That tell me meat is much preferred and needed by the body.  Veggies... not so much.  We may have gotten used to them, but veggies, for the most part, are for women and feed animals.  Just the way of it.  Veggies keep women from becoming too aggressive.  I mean, they have means streaks in them, but generally know better.  And veggies help them maintain, if too it might make them more passive aggressive?

I do laugh.  Women won't tell you what they want, because it might make them vulnerable?  They... already ARE vulnerable.  That is their half of the relationship.  So, how much more vulnerable asking for what they want would they become?  Less, I would guess.  But... they just can't.  They can hate you for not giving them what they want, in spite of not telling you what they want or/and don't want.  It's still YOUR fault.  *grins*  Sometimes I have wanted to be one of them, mostly though, I am glad I am not.  They complicate their own lives.  And for no really good reason?  Just... thinking.

Interesting little creatures, to be sure.  Spooky, too, sometimes.  The scream of the rabbit, or mouse, in rage or pride, is... always... a curious thing.  I don't take it completely lightly, but I... don't take it too seriously either.  It's an indicator... of something.  Wonderful.  It's when they get all quiet that I worry.  *grins*  Quiet and icy.  Of course, sometimes that is my goal, if she is talking nonsense.

Laughing, as I stumble over memories while waking.  Must admit I do enjoy women.  Mostly.  Sometimes.  Not even laughing at them.  With them?  If they can see the humor in life, sure.  At them if they fail to see it.  Even at me, for my blind walk through life.  They sometimes have thought I knew things they didn't.  And, I do, but not... to the level they think.  Just as they know things about which I have absolutely no clue.  They are good team players, or at least pick up the hints.  I don't give a flying... care.  I can do team, I just won't be embedded in a culture, social norm, or such.  No!  That's for women and betas.  Well, and some other lower status men.  Though, to be honest, alphas?  They are just the kings of the social order, they are dependent upon it.  I am not.  I exclude it from my life, and trounce it when some alpha tries to be king in my ao.

Hmm?  Oh, blathering.  Just the way of things.

Fasting blood sugar has been coming down.  Pizza and something else jacked it to 170, two days ago.  Yesterday it was 163, today it is 146.  It has been elevated as I have been trying foods, but the ninety day is at 126.  I'll get back to carnivore.  Though keeping lettuce, a few cans of veggies a week, and cabbage once or twice a month.  I'll back off from veggies, mostly, otherwise.  Still, will be nice to have, say, four cans of veggies a week.  Just to... add variety.  Oh... I might try to, finally, make a crustless, keto, pumpkin pie.  I... really would like to do that for Thanksgiving.

Later.

  1. Yeah, not proud to say we played "spot the corn" underway. Bored sailors and all. I actually have a notebook from that time with cryptic entries of "ate corn" then later "corn sighted" We were competing for the shortest or longest times.
This was at a time when VHS was the way to see movies you wanted to watch. "Blazing Saddles" was memorized by a handful of us, and we'd recite the lines with the actors, sometimes taking one role for the whole movie. Was fun for a few months then someone got fed up and "Float Tested" the tape cassette. Off the fantail, "Blazing Saddles" failed it's float test, and that well loved tape resides on the floor of the Pacific.

  2. On a submarine, it's all we had too. Well, and hit the nuts. The other game widely played and harshly cheated. You... got gud or hurt. :) Or both. Damned kids.

I was too busy. I qualified subs on my first run, and even split doing half the tour in mess, half with my unit. Technically, by rank, which I got just making it to nuke school, I didn't have to do mess.

But, the master chief (imagine, a master chief mess, crazy, but true) really needed help. And... I felt I should at least do my part, so asked if we couldn't... split the baby. King Solomon (was it?), would have approved! :p

Anyway, I was way too busy to watch anything. And, you know how long agangers could end up working. Potable water (or even one of them) went down, or toilets backed up (god's country, to boot), or potable down for tank cleanouts... ugh. So, yeah. But I knew about the shows, just never had time.

Blazing Saddles. back when they all not only knew, but laughed at the bs. For me, it was more Monty Python, several of those, not the last one, but... I get that.

I wonder, to surface (even subs now), have cable? No... actually I heard they could, but don't. Due to opsec. Some guys smuggled a Musk receiver onboard, had a minor internet access thing. Got in boocoo trouble over it. Like... possibly court martials? Heck, I didn't even know the Navy (.mil in general) even had any backbone for that sort of thing anymore. Meh.

  3. Oh, the diary thing... that kills. Way too funny. Memories, of youth and such... fine funny things.

Now, what do you think about the fact that... my guts absolutely crush the yellow? I mean nothing. Actually more like eight to ten cans in the last two weeks, maybe another four to six the week before that. And... nothing.

  4. We had Live satellite TV in '94, before that , all taped. though "they" chose the programs.

  5. Of course they did. I was out by '88, so... Though I doubt if subs, even now, can get it. Not at cruising depth, if that was anywhere near what it was.
