Haiku - Prey, revisited.

.
.
I'm still not getting it.  Still, I have a few more.  Perhaps the composite will provide... something.  Yes, this is why I will never be an artist or writer.  The money couldn't be enough to tolerate the sense that I am not getting it, or giving it.  Gah!!!

--------------
All innocent, sweet,
She smiles, frolics, promise love-
Into her dungeon.

Some of us are immune, at least to the darker of daughter(s) of God.  Whether via professional courtesies or... nepotism, take what you can get I suppose.  As interpreted, mind you, using a brother.

Though nephilim, of course, are not from angels and demons, but angels, fallen and perhaps not, and women.  Then again, she... isn't all about truth.  She prefers her versions of things, of course.  Still, she is mother. Probably from before her corruption.  Maybe that was how she was corrupted?  I was never told all the family secrets, if I suspect.

You don't know my name,
You think you know all you fear-
I come, Bogeyman.

or

You don't know my name,
You think you know all you fear-
I come soon, wolfman.

Which do you all like best?
--------------

He is near. I smell
his will, my fear, I loathe, know-
Every day. Somewhere.
--------------

She loved and lost.
She was with country, then not-
The price was enough.

Double Gah!  I had to redo a number of these.  My salable counts were off.  My brain failed.  Ugh...

  1. I think I prefer "bogeyman", gives a more known fear to what is unknown.

From this batch, my fave might be your third...the smell of fear always gives me a tad bit O' wood.

  2. Definitely the bogeyman. and I agree with Rafa... The 3rd one is kind of scarily creepy.
I had to google nephalim. I've learned something new. :-).

  3. I'm glad, then, that I reintroduced bogeyman into it. I just had a sense, too. You both confirm it.

The visceral notions of the hunted. Both predator and prey know it. If it is creepy, it isn't something I write, it is something many just don't like to know. A truth rarely visited, but known every day or we would not live. Did you know, they have found that even wheat shrieks when it is being harvested?

Flora or fauna, "winner" or "loser", the game is true and terrible. More so for those who have created their hunting for no other reason than because they are unto Cain.
