(takes a bit to get going, be patient)
[lyrics]
Dreams. Exact, specific, details... gone... left in the mists. Heavy, sort of dense, a bit hard but not terrible... as I count things. If you had them, you might feel yourself lost in shadow. But, remember, I come from darker than shadow. I was in the grey, to me. It's not a nice place but it ain't hell either. It's were we are of flesh, if most prefer not to see it that way. No warring, this time. I seem to have been just scouting enemy posts, deciphering messages then checking veracity. The enemy is not keen to advance. He is losing territory to right thinking folk and to his own minions, who have cut ties and abandoned their positions and/or allegiance, if they are, locally, at least as dangerous, temporarily, for it. In the long run, the shadow of the promiser of death but bringer of damnation has... diminished. He still thinks he can call me back. But then, he thought Christ would eat the stone bread. He really did. His call, this time, is not from strength or power but from desperation. He doesn't understand the joy of suffering righteously. He is blind to the beauty of toil, paying the price, living right through death. Not anymore, anyway. Sad, once he did.
Uhrm, don't think that means they won't try something vicious, mind you. Watch, and closely. Be mindful, diligent, and prayerful. These are very dark times. It has been ages since darkness has been so close to grabbing true power. It hungers, and hates.
Rough, physically, though. Has been mostly a drift through the world of flesh lately, with occasional bumps and grumps. Still, Christmas is coming and in it hope. Not a desperate, weak, or needy hope, but a true hope. The hope is not for myself, if I still enjoy kneeling, that hope has been fulfilled in me, as much as it can be. This is a, THE, hope for mankind. So I pad the girders and myself, then send my spirit to the heavens, blind as it is, and at speed. Thus the padding. No, that might not make sense. Just let the notion flow through the back of your mind. You may get it. Oh, just a visit this time. God will call when it is the time.
Ah, the Christmas song for tonight.

ReplyDeleteYes, before we set out the milk and cookies for Santa Claus let's all remember to take our meds.
ReplyDelete"Now I've reached the awkward age of Man. Too old for Castoria, and too young for Serutan." (Homer and Jethro)
No worries there, Michael. As full of it as I am, some things are easy breezy beautiful. At least so long as I am not forced to abide John Wayne t.p. Rough, tough, and don't take .... of anybody.
