Yes, yes, life is good.

.
.
It is still, by my celebration method, still Christmas.  Twelve days of celebration.  Prayer, thought, music, joy, and feasting.  I have consumed my beef roast.  I will be thawing a duck next.  I may even try to make duck stock.  Really, save for a minor little spot of trouble, mostly from being weary of carrying specific water for those who don't understand, and a spot of the blues, this has been a post-card Christmas.  The Spirit is here, even in the rough times, perhaps especially then with a little help from friends and family.

The miracle of Christ is a shared one.  Men know part of it.  We know of birth, and children, and watching them live and grow and learn.  Directly or indirectly, when we have come to God I think we come to this also, even if from various distances.  Just that He was born, and lived, is a part of the miracle that is missed.  Ah, I have heard, but everybody was born, and lives or lived.  Right?  Well, no.  Look at all of the mass of all of the worlds we know to be uninhabited.  That, my friends, was not born and does not, has not, and will not live.  Perspective.  Miracles.  The miracle goes on from there, but surely that was the start, the first part of it.

Oh, for your mental health's sake, yes, I am taking my medication rightly.  I did miss a day or two, until two of you piped up.  Thank you, by the way.  And, for any of you who are angry with me?  Rightly or mistakenly?  You are quite welcome to pipe up!  I wish to clear any wrong air.  If I am wrong, I wish to clarify, apologize.  If you misunderstood, I wish to set that right.  Righteous anger is welcome here.  At worst, we will learn some small differences.  At best, we will learn to communicate better.  I can't see a loss.  I don't bite, not those who choose Wisdom.  Not even those who don't, if I will bark.  Barking and pain are warnings, not punishment, even so.  I don't like to bite.  I am very good at it, but it isn't the best of choices until it is the only choice.

Loverly!  I am hoping to figure things out, and get to things, but I think... that will have to wait until I am titrated to full doses of medicine and that is settled.  I will continue to try to get ahead.  It probably won't work, quite yet.  But it will save me from dropping too far behind.  I see the doc sometime in January.  Both of them actually?  They will probably be taking me up to full dose, which... not matter what... is going to hurt.  Just not as badly as when I was doing it, I think.  Another bit of time to try to regain focus.  Perhaps it is too deep into winter, with too little sun, for me to do a full recovery until spring.  We will see.  I am hoping to get enough going to begin seedlings again this year.  But... I want to get them kicked off in January or February this year.  They were simply too small last year, when I planted them.  Learning, bit by bit.

Oh, good day and, again, Merry Christmas!

  1. Good luck on the duck stock if you try it. I haven't eaten enough of it to form a real opinion, but it sounds delicious.

I, for one, am not angry with you. But, as someone who has a condition which chains him to regular medication, I naturally send out concern to fellow travelers on that train and become apprehensive when I feel someone has skipped on a schedule. I've reached that age where Life tends to take away more than it gives, so I tend to get selfish over those who remain.

  2. It looks like Desert Cat has cut ties. He thought the post was about him. I don't see how he sees that. I was actually chuckling, right or wrong, when I asked if he or foam had gotten a bit tight about that post.

Still, a man has to do what he thinks best. Even cutting me from accessing his blog it seems. No, no worries. It's a choice he had to make. It's not just that post though. Or even that topic.

  3. Ditto Michael W, Doomster. i wasn't aware I was supposed to get tight about a post. I can do so retroactively if you'd like though.

  4. Yeah, but think about this... If you thought that post was aimed at you, lets say you were having an off day and it just... hit you? So, yeah. But it isn't just about that. My attack on the spoiled youth, well and there was a thank you to Monsanto in there. Something I didn't think about until after he dropped.

I hit, and hard. And if you are holding onto some of the things that I hit, well... It can hurt, a lot. As I said though, I won't change things for anyone anymore.

Monsanto? I am neither for nor against, really. It is a business, meant to make money. That it happens to feed more people who would otherwise starve makes it better than worse. That it crushes farmers whose farms get contaminated with runoff, and some other things, is of course bad. In the margins it is better than it is worse, but it is just a worldly economic device. Hating it, or anything, is a personal problem. Hate the general system that requires us to eat, but not some middling company. Even that will get you nowhere, save maybe hating God, which just doesn't make sense, at all. Biting the hand that feeds, in either case.

Demanding a perfect world before Christ comes is folly. Trying to crush the businesses which are successful, therefore slightly better at doing what they do, like feed people, and protective of their right to earn money at it, is silly. And destructive. Forcing all organic food production, as an extreme example, would enslave many people to make the food economically viable, and a quarter of the world would starve to death in such a regime. But some would force it, for our own good. I wonder if they have decided who won't get to eat or not. Don't they realize it always comes down to money, and that many of them would actually lose?

Even my thing about McDonalds might piss him off. I do tend to question elitist 'wisdom'. McDonalds is just food. Another source. An American company. Some get lost in alt and new age health and living so much that... they become haters. Lots of topics of mine piss him off. I think he was looking for a way out anyway. If you look to be pissed off enough for a break, you will find it.

He has a .45 pistol of mine. Forgot it there. I guess that is lost too.

  5. I actually didn't read your post on spoiled youth or the video that was linked. I quickly scanned it and then moved on. I know you and Desert Cat have been blogging buddies for quite a while. I had no idea that I walked in on misunderstandings between you. It would be a shame if the relationship dissolved because of this.

PS: MacDonald's food sucks. Just sayin' .. :-)
But if you can stomach it? Hey, I'm a live and let live kinda gal.
