She asked me what love means. To me? Aside from me? It was about love between men and women. I knew what she was asking. But there is a lot of latitude in the answer... answers. There is much she asked. But she didn't want much of an answer. She wanted something concise. A brief reply. Well?
Oh, she isn't here. And, we aren't talking. I just... I heard the question. I don't think she expected an answer. It wasn't me she asked... or... maybe, but the question wasn't for my ears. So it wasn't.
I know the pieces fit. Urhm, that is the answer. And there is more to it.
That having nothing to do with sex, yet requiring the two sexes. Anything else isn't love. It's... whatever it is. As it isn't marriage. But... that's not the point. Yes, I know the pieces fit.
The question is, do our pieces fit. But that is a question that can never be answered today. It can only be answered tomorrow, for today. There is an answer for today. But it is birthed in tomorrow. If we are still together tomorrow, even if unhappy with each other, then the answer was, is, will be, yes... yesterday. Extend that out over life, and... at the end of it... it was either yes or no.
Sex seems to... manage itself. Between men and women, proximity is the key. The want of more, or less? Whatever. That isn't the point.
Such a strange girl. But I do like her. Love her? Where... is she? Or... where am I? It could be different, tomorrow. But not today? Unless we are yet together. Are we? You asked.
Answer.
