.
I went with the palm heart 'rice', and beefy mushroom. Adding a splash of cream as it was cooling near the end. Mildly seasoned, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powders... nothing fancy. Just right, as far as I could tell. I worried it might be a bit too mild, when added to the ingredients, but... no. Just right.
The near micro-diced palm hearts tasted, and had a texture, a lot like cauliflower. Only without the potential for gas, or... that heavy feeling sometimes after eating cauliflower. All good, really. Not rice, but then, to be honest, I'm not sure I ever liked rice?
The rest of the burger is put up. I'll want to get groceries, sometime in the early part of this next week. Minor things, and not all that much. Just one batch of salad, a single veggie pack, a few packs of meat. I seem to be able to do with, say, six or seven larger packs of meat, for the month. Assuming I don't let it spoil. Bleh.
A shower is still on the schedule. The newest game... ugh. I like the game, to a degree. But they make the controls so sluggish. And put in animations which needlessly punish. I found a guide for the type I wanted to play, a mage really. And I have done everything I could do. There is an area they suggested I should be able to get through but easily and obviously can't.
But, now that I have made my 'toon (short for cartoon, another name for game character) overpowered, I have to find a place to level. I suppose grinding is the only way. Just going to random areas will get my 'toon dead. Tuned, one way or another. But, it is now a boring slog, with lousy controls, animations which needlessly punish, and... I'm... not sure I see a lot of reason to play more. I may try other types of 'toons, or just stick with this one, for now?
I won't be playing as intently. I may find a guide through the game. It is just too big. And so many things will kill you, and quickly. Some you might be allowed to beat, after it kills you several times (yes, I do think they require most people to die there first few times through, even things we should be able to beat). It's designed that way. Still makes me angry, even knowing it's rigged. It's how this particular game is made. And addiction factor... denial thing. Tugging the rope of a dog, we being the dogs.
Without something to do, and no real story line, I... don't know. It'll be difficult to stay interested. And it is rather large, with lots of little things, and big things, to do. The death thing just slows the game down, or it would be a fifteen hour game, max. They don't even care if the deaths are fair. It's their bread and butter, they have to spread it thin.
The other game has become a bit dull as well. Playing over, from the start, with a new 'toon, taking a different direction in the game. Still, it's... a bit of a pain. And, some things just don't work due to lag or other issues. The game really shouldn't have been released for ps4. It might be too much for ps5. And they aren't offering ps5s at their quoted price. They let some sell, sometimes, but are cheating the markets by buying them themselves, well and selling them, often, through side sources, at a cost at which they can make money. They cut themselves short, and just couldn't afford to sell them at their promised price.
Though, I won't get ps5. They have made those into serious 'big brother' boxes. On the good side, people aren't as interested in ps5. People just don't have the money. Families, kids, college kids. The money just isn't there. Nor, I think, is the interest. They sort of are cutting their own throats though. I can't buy new games, because the system won't really run it. And I won't buy ps5 for the price and privacy concerns.
Well... a shower. Maybe a bit of gaming on the other game. And, hopefully to bed soon. So tired, but just can't sleep. Later, or goodnight.
