.
I woke, at 11:00. Had to push it. Actually, with the 11:00 alarm, but more like 11:20 to 11:30? Right. Brushed my hair, oily as it is. Wanted to get up, and be going, take a shower, and do a bit more cleaning before the termite inspector showed up at 14:00? Right.
So, I get dressed, and downstairs, get the machine running, and hear something that... intrigues me. So, I go to the door, and am opening it, when... I see a man. The termite inspector? Almost speechless. Then, he tells me, first they gave them a wrong number, to someone in Iowa. I explain that. Then they sent him to my address, in the next town over. There... is no house at that address.
Finally, they get him to the right town, and here he is! I told him I thought he was arriving at 14:00. Nope. All good. There isn't much I could have done. I thought he would be in the basement, but... not. He was everywhere. Okay. A clean bill of health, so all good. All very good. And... done.
We had some laughs along the way. Chatting about nancys and other such.
Anyway. Inspections are done, I have what I need to send in. I just... need to get a fax number, a shower, dressed, and to town to send it. Today? I doubt it. Probably not until Monday. I'm tired people. I don't hurt, but I think that is because I have become numb to pain, again. It is whitenoise pain. A beautiful chorus of agony, drowned out by it's own self. But there, underneath, behind every muscle, joint, some bones, and other bits and places. If I focus, and dig just a bit consciously, I can touch raw nerves. Wonderful. I earned this.
So. Not today. I'll let the pile of molecules I call me rest for a day or three. Then, get back to things. I still must do chores, manage litter, feed Sassaroni, do bodily functions including breathing, and else. And I will try to do a few little things... go through boxes, resetting and refilling here and there. Maybe sorting boxes a bit. And dishes, if I possibly can stoop without causing immediate exquisite pain and/or cramping. Loverly!
But... for a bit... a slower pace. Oh, but now, with my automated raising and returning desk in place and fully operational, I may begin using it in the standing position for an hour at a time, or half hour. Just to get my legs back to use. Then, trying to get back to standing much more often. As well, with the living room open, using the footstool to raise my legs, from time to time while gaming. Therefore splitting my time between sitting with feet up, sitting with feet down, and standing. Will that actually help? I don't know. Will find out.
Now for breakfast. Just a chia slurry. And bacon and eggs? Ah! I have all my pans clean, and one burner very clean and open. The rest will get hit when it gets hit. But, I could make bacon, and eggs. Sounds good, either with the chia, or a bit later. Whichever I can do. I'm not pushing anything, for a while.
When I get back to health, a bit, and energy, I'll be back to hitting the house. Aiming at a few general projects, and one specific room, at a time. I think I will start in the main bedroom. And then the en suit bathroom. Then the spare bedroom. Going through boxes, clearing those to the other bedroom after going through each completely, pairing them down even more, and putting likes with likes. Tossing what I can, will, for now. But, too, maybe putting them in boxes with the intention, that if I don't use them in a year? To let them go. A trigger box. Yea. Next year, at about this time, I may order a dumpster again, for a week or two, and... just... let go.
Hard to do. This first load wasn't as difficult. Mostly the low hanging fruit, so to speak. The next one gets personal. Private. But... all good. If I have not, am not, using these things, it's time to let go. What a ride, though. Oh, the hours worked, so far, is only 13~14, from my helper. Amazing how much was done in so little time. He may have found better employment, and has things of his own to do. So, not sure how much more he will help. But I'd like to get seven more hours out of him. Just straightening, finishing touches, perhaps some work in the garage? Still, not all that much. And it wasn't hard work, for him. Just... time, with some reward. Little pay, but some.
Oh, this dumpster is full. I really am thinking of keeping it one more week. It depends on if he will be helping a bit more. Might be able to get enough waste generated to keep it, if so. Might be best to wait until the dumpster is emptied, but... he may be working full time, real, good-paying, work by then. I'll... check.
On to breakfast and a slower day. Good morning, day, and all. Later.
