I reloaded the dishwasher, with the last of the really large, bulky, items and what else I could add while leaving a lot of room to make sure things get clean. Of course, taking out what had been washed and putting those things away. Better. I... love when things get done.
I have been working on these things for a while. Or... planning them, intending to do them, such. I just couldn't stand, or walk well, for long. It wasn't just the swollen feet and legs, though that was a part of it. It was memory, focus, and such, as well. A bit better, on all fronts. Medicine, this time, is helping more than crushing me. Though I'm not suffering heat. The cold can get to me, but it's not usually as bad. I can handle the cold much better than the heat, even as I have vastly improved my heat tolerance as blood sugar has tempered. Ugh.
If, too, I think part of the problem is that I fell off carnivore. Not... back to typical American. Closer to simple keto... low carb, medium to high protein, higher fat. Even so, I think I do work much better on the carnivore diet. So... I'll... get to shopping, pick up ribeyes, top sirloins, chicken, and pork chops anyway. I'd like to add bacon in. Or try. Bacon is really good, if I can handle it. Smaller amounts, just too rich. Though, finding good bacon, not bacon that has gone rancid. A lot of the typical brands have priced themselves out of standard diets, and continue to add sugar, way too much salt, and other artificial things to cover for bad meat.
Finding good bacon is the trick. Good luck with that. Higher prices don't get it, nor do lower. And mid level prices are still... sketchy. It's become a sketchy industry. As with chicken. Oh, and while the chicken from costco are okay, they aren't as good as local chickens. I may see if I can offload them, even if at a minor loss. They ARE good enough. They just aren't AS good as the ones I like. For half the price, it might be worth it for someone else. I'll... find out.
A lot of people would rather price down then eat slightly better, even only saving a dollar or half per pound. I would rather go hungry than eat lesser food. I do go hungry, rather than eat food that isn't quite as good. And just toss food that I don't think is good. Two thirds of precut chicken was bad, so I had to give up on the whole portion of the industry. Sad, I much prefer hindquarters, and they are so much easier to cook than a whole chicken. Still? Must do what must do.
I... forgot to get a shower, before putting the dishwasher to work. I could probably had paused it, and squeezed a shower in. But I won't. It takes two, three, hours for a load. So be it. I'll get a shower before next time, but have it set to go when I finish. Jars, lids, and a few minor things this next run. Always more. I'm not good at this, yet. Hopefully practice will perfect? Will see. Later.
For what it's worth, The Bosch doesn't miss much (as long as you soak to soften baked/ dried gunk). Extra bonus, I've never had a melting problem with plastic containers, still don't trust it 100%, but I'm not as anal as I was at first with plastic placement.
ReplyDeleteYes. I was... rather impressed with the plastics. I didn't put them on the bottom shelf. Hmm, or did I? I may have, just to fafo? Actually, I think I did. They didn't dry all that well, though maybe I heard not to run the dryer on plastics and didn't? Whatever, yes, I saw they can do plastics.
ReplyDeleteFunny, you too are as paranoid about plastics? My last woman was absolutely anal about plastics. THEN would put them, with leftovers, in the microwave! I was furious with her. Not a health issue, back then, for me, mostly. But it ruined plastic. And those suckers were pricey! Ugh. Especially if cooked with tomato, or sweat sauces. Ruined! I just started throwing them away, in front of her. I thought she would get upset. She didn't even blink.
I called her a cow once, though. She just, demurely, said "moo". Got some later that day, too. Mooooo! :p
