I simply couldn't stand for doing that many dishes yesterday. Everything that had been soaking was washed, the water changed to soak again (which I will change this morning hopefully to finish tonight), I did three or four loads of laundry, and that was that. It wasn't even that standing wore me out, as I had worried. But not having stood much simply made standing to deal with laundry, hang clothes, and do dishes hurt my back. If it isn't one thing it is another. On the good side, the pain was short lived. I simply didn't want to get a lasting back ache after just having gotten over exhaustion. I don't want to gimp out on another side issue.
I am about to shower, groom, dress and head in to pick up my friend for some friendly shooting in the country. I will be taking several targets. I honestly haven't shot at actual targets in some time. As I begin gearing up to search for the best bullet builds with my pistol, I want to have a baseline from which to compare. That will take practicing up to the best shooting I can do, then seeing what bullets seem to do better for me. I might even consider using a rest. I dislike this part of shooting, to be honest. It requires calm, deliberate, scientific shooting rather than just plunking cans or other targets. And I will be shooting rather close. My target distance will be 25 yards. I could also shoot at seven yards, as that is the considered range for personal defense. But I think I will wait to work that distance after I have several solid round builds at 25 yards.
I did not load any rounds. Which, actually, is just fine. Without a chronograph, I am sort of shooting blind. So reloading is, well, a trick pony rather than a science. While I have plenty of powder, I am beginning to run low on bullets and cases. Hmm, which reminds me, another thing on my long list is more and various bullets and new cases of from various manufacturers (perhaps). Sometimes it seems impossible to keep up on everything.
Best get going. Have a good day.
