Ready for bed.

.
.
I finished the dishes, cleaned up what else needed it, and finished the laundry. I am glad to have been visited. Beside having company for dinner the visit focused my mind on cleaning up. My kitchen, dishes, and laundry are all clean. I am not sure they would have been otherwise. I am still dragging bottom. Life has simply been painful and exhausting the last week. At least I am still seeing to things. I just wish there was some way to open up, get going, do... more... now. Not tomorrow, not after increasing stamina, not when concentration is fully back, but now, right now.

Never mind I will figure out how to grow into this new life. How to expand myself. I do wonder if age isn't a part of it. How much of a decrease do you have with age? How much with a bad heart? No one really knows. It depends they say. They don't even know what it depends upon. The person? Their attitude? Genetics? No matter, as I said, I'll figure it out.

I am hoping to do things I couldn't otherwise do with the KoC. They may be my ticket to greater function. Everything is starting out slowly. I have one task and I am doing what I can with it, but scheduling has complicated it a bit. The first meeting might have more options for involvement. I am simply not certain what is available, what is going on, not yet.

Oh, right, tomorrow I need to follow up with the V.A. After several days of calling around and playing voice mail tag, I finally found out who I was supposed to call. I called him Friday, I think. He should have called me back. I have heard that congress gave the V.A. a theoretical means of appealing these types of decisions but did not fund the appeal process. That is not going to be easy to work with. Never worry, I'll keep digging until I get something. If it is the wrong something I will fight it. If it is the correct answer and means, I will use them. All this time, however, the clock is ticking. Two weeks have passed since I actually received the letter. I am not sure if the timer for an appeal starts when they send the letter or when I sign for it. Probably the former, so really, as much as four weeks have passed! Damned bureaucrats anyway.

On to bed. Good night.
