It was probably 10:30 or 11:00 before I got to it.  The outside water shut-off valve was employed as a last ditch effort to turn the water off in the 'cave'.  It seems to have worked.  There is that.  As I started putting the puzzle together, I read over a line and missed a detail.  Why instructions this time and not others?  Sometimes I know enough what I am doing.  This time, not so much.  Little bits, here and there, various lines, too much picky minor detail to try to shoot in the dark on this one.  I know my limits... if that isn't always where I stop.  Obviously.

I tried to call their tech.  An half our on the line to no results.  But while listening, I was told to find the serial number and the model.  I found the name of the model but could find the serial number nowhere.  Not on the package, the device, the booklet.  Still don't know it.  But, I kept looking over the instructions, and finally noticed the problem.  True, the blue cord would not fit where it was allotted to fit on the bottom of the faucet.  But in the diagram they showed a piece fitting between the two.  A 1/4" plug that would then fit the 3/8" plug in the faucet bottom.  *click*  They work from 9:00 to 17:00, Arizona time.  It's just that no one is there.  Maybe Herbert?  Never mind.

After getting the faucet hoses attached, and a little fussing figuring out what to do, when, and how, I realized the black and red lines had to be removed.  They wouldn't allow the piece under the sink to secure, or at least it didn't look, to me, like that would work.  No problem, I hope.  I removed those, leaving the blue line attached.  It is placed in such a manner that it won't interfere with the attachment.  I had to take the mounting tape backing off, so the sticky stuff would stick.  But, then, I needed a rest.

Next I have to re-insert those hoses, hook all the hoses to where they go, put a shut-off valve in the tank, drill some holes for the filter holder to attach to the wall of the basin area, and... turn the water back on.  Oh, then I have to fill, then flush, the tank, three times, do a hoola dance, throw salt over my shoulder, and knock on wood.  I think that's what the instructions said.  I'm trying to hurry, to get to town by 15:00 or so, at the latest.  We'll see.  I'll set the beeper for 15 minutes, then get to it.  (It's actually 12:20, not the posting time...  I think they are doing that so they can shut down the internet and pull any posts that aren't supposed to be posted about some government misaction or other event they wish to stifle.)
