To you out there... If it's what you know how to do, and can do it, keep at it. If it gets a little tight, well... set that part aside and just get it done. If you can, raise a little for me. When it's good, it's great.
Oh, and... women on my mind again. One of my first... crushes... I've had no better luck since, at least as brides go. Well, probably should be a bit more technical but won't be, so... Yeah, it's tough being a monster.

I can't honestly recall who my first crush was on, but Elsa Lanchester is very definitely a member of my Secret Girlfriend List (a rather exclusive sorority whose members include, but are not by any means limited to: Lauren Bacall, June Allyson, Dame Diana Rigg, June Foray, Carolyn Jones, Dawn French, Fanny Brice and Ada Lovelace).
ReplyDeleteNot a bad set, the ones I know. I only had a few. Elsa, of course. Later, Marilyn Monroe, who was the first woman I planned on marrying. I think I was three or four when smitten by the latter, younger still by the former. I must have been told Elsa was married. But last I had heard, Marilyn was still free. Hrm, they did try to explain that she was dead, but... with what they did for Elsa, you know... :)
ReplyDeleteOh, might as well. My like of Elsa is... only part of it. There is a lot of symbolism in there. Doom stuff. But... Well, that is enough.
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with linking romance and symbolism. Compared to some of the other "isms" which attach themselves to romance, symbolism can actually be fun.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn Monroe. She's likable, and I wouldn't put her out on a rainy night, but she didn't quite make the cut as far as my Secret Girlfriend List is concerned. I can't explain why.
