Just a bit more.

.
.
I've got most of the dishes either rinsing or soaking is soap water.  The kitchen needs to be hit, but not until I finish the last quiche.  I did go ahead and make some fruit hot-pocket type pies.  They are just about done.  I'll have one to see how they turned out, and as a treat.  Store-bought canned fruit is... not my favorite.  Sure, it'll work.  But it's nothing to right home about.  Still, with these, I can hand out desert along with the last quiche.  Urhm, it might cause overload, but... once in a while that isn't a terrible thing.  I finished the last of the experimental quiche, so desert, a rarity, will probably see me into slight overload.  All good.

Now, I still have quite a few ingredients left over.  While quiche isn't my favorite, omelets are.  I may have to practice with those over the next few days.  I truly love omelets, if they are made just right.  Not too oily, not too crisp, done through and through, with a nice mix of meats and vegetables.  Onion, mushroom, sausage which I will have to cook up separately, and various cheeses all with which to experiment.  I don't like green peppers, but since I have them, might as well through them into one of the omelets.  And I have hash browns for on the side.  Sounds good to me.

I've done a lot of new and different cooking lately.  French toast, quiche, fruit pies, and now I'll be working on omelets.  I think the next thing I'll be experimenting with are french fries.  I've found a couple of recipes for McDonalds-like fries.  I like theirs the best.  I may try to make them in batches, and after the first deep frying, try to figure out how to freeze them for an easy last frying at my leisure.  Yeah, that is a little spooky.  Frozen foods and deep friers... I'll be doing a bit of research before going there.  Even then, I will have a back up layer of plans for worst case scenarios.  Right up my alley.  Oh, and a bit of advice... when cooking a number of pies or other things that steam... remember not to go in face first up front and right away.  Thankfully, I can tolerate a steam facial, mostly.

Good night.
