Not enough pie rounds for everything, unless I wash the one I used. No extra experimental quiche either. All good. I'm baking the crust for the, as it turns out, single Greek quiche. Actually, I may make one in the afternoon as well, just no practice on that particular type. The other one will be a simple cheddar, bacon, mushroom, and onion quiche. I have everything ready to go for those. As to a fruit pie, that depends on if I have the gumption to wash the currently used, if nearly empty, pie round. I can still, if there is extra filling, make a treat or two for myself. Fruit pockets, with the extra dough. Hmm, though I probably have more than enough dough either way.
I have to admit, I'm running on fumes. The goal is to finish the crust, then a couple of hours before 11:00, put the thing together. I may call and make sure it is a good day for it though. If it's a go, then I'll put it all together, pop it in the oven, and let it run it's course. Two hours should be enough time to cook it thoroughly while still leaving time for it to cool enough to travel. Actually, I'll probably bake the other pie crusts while I am at it.
I've got another load of dishes going. I think I'll skip the laundry. I'm pretty much just going to be able to hang on. After I get the first quiche out, I should have time to take a nap before doing the last two, or three, pies. Hmm... might have to make the cherry pie early. It'll be a bit of a mess trying to push three, even two, items through the oven at once. I suppose it is doable, for two. But not for three. Not with the time constraints. This is getting a bit tight. Ah well. It'll work out.
After these are done, I'm going to finish cleaning up, then take the weekend off. I told my friend I would be in Monday. If we get a heavy snow Sunday night, it's off. Other than that I mean to make it in. But my back is aching, I need more flour, but other than that it really is all good. If I can just make it through the day. Later.
