Oh, I bet you thought I would forget. Well... you were right. Never mind.
As my first love, while I may never remember some days or this or that, I do and will always remember you. A caretaker, but a sister, a love, a mother, all in one. The lessons you provided were meant to lead me to another woman. Too... path hungry and busy to settle, I suppose. But the lessons are there. I remember you when you were young, and through your life, and now. If you ever feel invisible, know that you are not. Not to those you taught to see.
To all of you mothers. From one grateful son.
That is sweet. I hope your momma saw this :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope she did too. I think, once in a great while, she stops in. But even that post might well cause here... trepidation. I think she thinks I am complicated, more so over time. Reading here is very hard on neurotics, especially ones who are personally involved, who have a history, and such. I know if I knew me, and weren't me, and even sometimes then, I might well not read here.
ReplyDeleteStill, after the call, and through time, she knows I love her, finally, and that might be enough for her. She doesn't need, or want to know, how or why save the main stated truths. *grins* She knows, and probably knows to stay away, just in case something horror inducing, new or old, she can't deny, gets shown. Stack of bones that my life is, she's tired.
Yes, boys and girls, Doom's mom is afraid. Never the... well, for a while in my 30's... goal, but... If I write some things, as I see them, knew them... Even as stories, to you... Imagine if you knew such a one and started putting the dots together? And the stories became real, living, and your child. Not all the dots, just enough, mostly.
