As I check on the rabbits, and interact with them more, I see what they need... or seem to need, and attempt to manage their needs. A few of them were laying funny in their cages. Ah... mats. One was just larger than her mat. In the other, there are still two rabbits, and they each need a mat. Pecking order and all that.
So I went looking. I found some in the outbuilding, but had to check the four-banger cage of cages. They all have mats in them, for when I get that set up. So the found ones were truly extras. When I put them in, it... almost looked like the rabbits were grateful? I... really think so. It really, often, is the little things.
With my feet so sore, I truly empathize. Not sympathy needed, I... understand. I am hoping through the summer, to craft a lawn tractor for them, for the days, or a few times a week. Just to give them actual ground to walk on. There will still need to be caging, or critters may dig under or flip the thing. But it won't be as bad. Though, maybe, I have enough wood? Probably have enough caging?
I took painpills, mostly for the feet. If those ease up a bit, I will get some things in the kitchen sorted. Maybe in the bathroom. Trash out? And maybe something set to cook. I like checking on, and opening the food, for the birds several times through the day as well. And just checking on the rabbits. Real people, too, you know. Well, maybe not. But they actually can show emotion. More social or solitary, but a pet and hello for some, and bit of chatter for the birds, seems to allow me some small acceptance into the barnyard clans.
Anyway... just... trying to get more done, if possible. Not sure I have much strength, is the thing. Trash is the priority. Bagged, out, then to the curb. Food is the next priority. I wont' get strength back without it. If chores and taking care of various animals are the requirements.
It was 65 out there, last I looked. A good day. Later.
