Vacuuming is more work than it seems.

.
.
I finally got up there, and to it.  The powder, laid down several days ago, was brutal to get up.  It took long, slow, passes, over and over.  I tried various settings.  It is rather short but plush carpeting.  The settings didn't seem to matter.  Long.  Slow.  Passes.  It took "forever" to get the dust up.  But, it... finally, is gone.  Mostly.  The wand sucks, in more ways than one.  I did get some up with it.  It was just as difficult as the regular vacuum part.

Afterward, I closed it up, up there, and put the ac back on.  It was up to 77.  I would guess, in part, from me using muscle, and the machine producing heat too.  Fine.  At least it has had fresh night air through there, and through the house as I had the door to the downstairs open as well.  And it has been vacuumed, twice, with freshening powder sprinkled throughout.  It really does smell better up there.

There is one little corner still needing vacuumed.  I was just shot.  That bit had four or five boxes or close hampers, all full, which need to be moved (and sorted).  I just was too tired to mess with that too.  But, most of the upstairs is done.  And, when I came downstairs, I reset dishes.  I'll get them in, maybe, an hour?  And, then, when I go upstairs, I'll get that final corner.  Oh, and the steps will have to be hit at some time.  Yes, they were dusted too.  So, yes, that will be a difficult job.  Having to hold/carry/lift the vacuum, while using a hose with attachment, if I can find the attachments, while figuring out the cord.  Ugh.  It'll be an ugly job.  Probably something to do when I wake, next time.

It is 57 out there, 72 in here, cooler in the main?  If so, not by much.  Fresh air, and cool air, this morning, is nice.  But I'll need to begin closing down shop shortly.  It seems amazon has things showing up today that were slated for Saturday (if they don't, as a rule, deliver things on Saturday).  Well, and one of the packages, the 18" fan, was slated for today, then Friday, and then back to today?  They sometimes change delivery day.  It used to be that they would often arrive early, but that... hasn't been happening for a while, not even irregularly, certainly not normally.

I will say, if they start hitting delivery targets, I may continue to use them a bit more.  I just don't want to have to wait two or three weeks for items, and then hope they get delivered anywhere close to on time, or at my house.  Walmart is overpriced, these days, and many local shops simply don't have what I want... by item, type, brand, or price.  Plus, gas being more expensive on top of being too expensive when it was $2.50 a gallon?  At it being 90 or hotter out?  And most stores only being open in the hottest part of the day?  Night shopping, perhaps, would be better, if walmart would do that.  As is, it's either crowded or closed.  Not worth going in, through the masses, on a maybe there, maybe not, proposition.

With my grocery store, I can go in rather late.  Actually, I need to do some more shopping.  But by morning, literal morning, when it is still cool, I am at my days end by the time they open.  And, getting up and out in time, in the evening, is a trick.  I'll... keep it in mind, and get to it if possible.

Just a few more things this morning.  Then on to bed.  Hmm... I wonder if the shop vac would work better on the steps.  While bulkier, it is a good bit lighter, I think.  And it definitely has the attachments, there, on it, ready.  Yea, I think I'll give that a go, when I get to the stairs.  Feeling a bit off this morning.  Not sure why.  Not terribly off, just... a bit strange.

Medicine in, though.  A bit of resting.  A bit more work.  Then on to bed.  Nothing fancy, but I really am getting things done, to a degree they are adding up well and fast.  A tenth the way to the finish line, with only a week and a few days to go.  But... it is what it is.  Later, or goodnight.
