.
Hungry already. But I won't be eating for a bit. I still need to
wake, or wake more fully. Coffee will help. I just finally got to
that, and am sipping my first dose of the day. As well, I'd like to
begin a few things, starting with a shower, shortly.
At a quarter to nine, it is at 68 outside. Up ten degrees since the
waking at 5:30. Slow, but sure, the day is warming. I'm sure we'll
hit into the 80s today. Unless a storm comes in. Didn't look like
that was going to happen, but... you just never know.
As for food? There was the idea about chicken, that I liked.
Burgers and steak are thawed, so I'll actually have one or parts of both of
those today. When buying the fish, I spoke with a woman who suggested
she had recently made fish chowder. That has been on my mind for a long
time. I need to pick up a few things, but found a video just for
that. And, finally... pizza! But, trying to figure out how to make
my own pizza, and keto to boot. So, several videos for that... depending
on what type of crust you want.
As mentioned, with this one? It isn't just a single menu item, it is processes and cooking/prep ideas. I really enjoyed this, want to try this if I can find good fresh tomatoes before summer is out.
The only add I would definitely go with is corn. On the cob, fresh, but cuts of the whole. Just... a few bites, for on the side. More style than substance? I may no longer approve of Iowa, but I'm still an Iowa, thus corn eating, lad. Just the way of it.
Pizza!
Meatza!
I need to remember some things when I eventually get to the store for fresh unground coffee. Mozz, for certain. I think I have tomato puree, or such, but... maybe. I am sure I have anchovies. I don't add whole anchovies, I merely smush a few into the oil/fat that I'll be cooking other things in, let it melt into the oil, and let the umami from that process take over. Makes the meat taste so much more meaty, too. I've never had a single person figure out I added them, even those who have tried them and know they hate anchovies. I love, after they are sitting back, stuffed to the gills, telling them they just ate three anchovies. They usually, at that point, don't care. But... they want to! :)
I've never tried anchovies with chicken. Only beef, and maybe a beef and pork mix? Hmm, not sure chicken is strong enough for that?
Anyway... Just... wanted to share some food ideas which are inspiring me. Might even make something or other along those lines, and soon. Meatza almost certainly. But I'd really like to try the crust. Later.
