Remnant II, part II

.
.
A whole aspect of the game I have not, and didn't before, delve into.  Is that handicapping me?  The problem is, it is exceedingly complex.  And requires backing up the game before beginning.  Or risking losing large amounts of precious and scant resources.  This game is excessively brutal with resources.

I suppose, before even starting in on that, I will need to create a backup system, or two.  I wanted to do that for another game, as well, anyway.  Before doing some experimenting there, too.  So, that is my first task.

The problem with this process?  Even if done exactly right, "r&g" (or so they say) can make the process go sour.  Further?  The process involves so very many steps.  Don't think "recipe", think multiple, from scratch, recipes, for three or four major banquets.  Only, your ingredients, say mayonnaise?  Can randomly turn into flour, after having been used.

To my mind, that is simply poor programming.  It is probably what you get when you have dot Indians, Americans, fags, women, other non-English speakers, and dei's, few who speak the same languages, or agree about anything else, working together to make a game.  Failure.  Or... really, the proof of falsity for the ideal that was Babylon.  Or the results and actual truth of what remains of the theory, tried in practice?  Something in there like that.

Still, it is what remains.  So, once I sort how to do backups, offline, I will then begin the process.  There is a way, in game, to do it.  If... they haven't patched or changed it.  Though, it too, was a convoluted dubious routing.  So... I'll look for thumb drives.  See if I can get one of those to work.  Bleh.

So, yes.  A complicated game.  Made for the educated.  If poorly in the ways mentioned.  But, something to overcome.  Not... a terrible thing, if too unintended.  A bug, only a feature for the intention minded.  And only in learning workarounds.

Until I get that going, I will simply tinker in the game, collect resources, and else.  Reflexes are still good.  But just always on the edge of extinction, in this game.  But... that is where I am the most alive.
