Questions in the ether.

.
.
What, she asked, is a woman who is not enemy, potential love or lover, since there is no room for friendship.  A reasonable question, of course.  I almost missed the notion, drifting and burning life as if I had it.  But, there it was, in the rear-view mirror as I was pulling away for another go at life today.  I did have to stop, think.  I knew there was an answer.  I have plowed this ground before.  But the question so surprised me, in part due to my focus on other issues, that I couldn't lay my hands to previous work, briefs on the topic, or the single answer, at least not straightaway.

Yes, there is a place for those women.  Some have not been satisfied with it, of course.  To some women, women with intent, it is akin to being, themselves, relegated to a type of "friends" category.  Not happily have all women gone to this categorization.  Ah, what is the category?  It is a word.  A very potent, true, and variable in nature term.

Sister.

She would be a sister.  In all ways, for my part, in her accord.  And, once a woman becomes a sister?  She will never progress with me.  Which... is a good thing.  Brick wall I might be, but there is comfort in that.  Trust me.

  1. Like them apples innit? *grin*

Keep it up and you'll need that refuge before you know it. Just expect some... feedback. Not always the friendliest of it either. And... enjoy it. That feedback is just a pain, after you get used to it.

  2. LJBF is sauce for both genders of a noisy barnyard fowl. "Sister" is even better than "LJBF", 'cause it can be leveraged if you don't really intend to put her there. Big disqualification move.

  3. I still don't know about this Game stuff. Yeah, sure, it keeps popping up and between your reading and my stories, there seems to be some... parallels. I suppose I am a natural born cynic, and of course... game makes it look so clinical and it is everything but clinical. It's a dirty rotten job that women would kill to be a part of and most men, even me, would rather not have had to contend with. "What do you mean "chef school", I just wanted a fucking hamburger!" Never mind.

It's funny. I think the thing about Game is that it clarifies that even we, those who have considered ourselves logical, prove to be far less that and far more animal than what we might prefer? That does sting. Well, and our idealization of women is bunk. Two stings, three balls, and then you have to reconsider. Such a pain in the ass.

  5. Since we haven't met in person, I don't know. Some women, women who just are... without intent... are never classified. With these women there is room for more play and a fuller relationship since there seems to be an understanding that is reasonable. It's only women who try to do the trick mathematicians hate but engineers utilize... regarding me... at least when I have no intent... by halving their distance every time they see me. The mathematician knows the distance will never be covered, the engineer knows that the distance will become "close enough" sooner or later. So, depends on you. Always.

Still... it is... as you wish.

  7. I think, from what I can tell, for you, that is just splendid. I love having women with whom I associate in which ambiguity lives and a fanciful, non-defined, relationship just exists as it does. With whom to be kin, friend of a sort, unrequited love, just exist near one another, without ever going over the bounds. I'm good with that, if I can trust the woman. A rare woman indeed.
